Bought the display since I wanted to upgrade - but this display is a downgrade. This display does not have many of the features of the original display, such as the power of power the assist levels after unlocking. Other unlock features missing too. Limited to 5 speeds (not 9 like the original), and the power settings are way too high and cannot be changed like they can be on the original. Power assist level 1 wants to throw you off the bike. My Cruiser is a 2020, so I had a top speed of over 28 mph+ and I received a new display under warranty, but the unlocked speed was limited to 25 mph. Watching the TH-cam video by HimiWay for the new upgraded display, the unlocked features shows max speed unlocked to 45 kmh (28 mph). Not so, still has maximum of 25 mph. Waste of $109.00, wish I could get my original 2020 display back!,
I just received my Himiway step through Zebra on 11/13/23. It arrived with this control panel, the directions had the old (GOOD) control panel. I can barely get 20mph on this updated? version. And yes, it just wants to lunge you forward. you can't tame it with pas settings or increase the speed limit. Do/can you techs at himiway respond? other than that I'm extremely happy with bike. Please advise, or just send me the controller in the instructions?
Himiway actually responded??!! Please tell us what is going on with your new disapproved controller. We don't want this bike lunging forward to 12 MPH on PAS 1. We don't want to be stuck with 24.8 max MPH. Is there anybody that knows how to get around this "New" controller like the old on? I didn't order the "updated" version. But I got it, even though the instructions clearly dictated the old style. I've reached out for help. Every time it's somebody different. I have never liked videos that play annoying music with very short play time and pointing quickly and not speaking when you are trying to understand how to use the control panel and display setup, poor video!

Check out the KD718 or KD986 from Robinson Cycle. They work with all the Himiways and have all the setting the KD51 had but are much easier to use.

That says it all. Loss of pedal assist is number 1 deal braker. Nice looking display is not worth the loss of important features.

Changing the Speed Setting, is that for Throttle only or for PAS Speeds only? I find that it only works for the PAS speed levels.
This is the Control panel I have. How do I turn the lights on or off? Why is 19 mph the best it will do? Need help. Thanks
