    Thanks! I didn't know I needed this. :-) A lot nicer looking than the display that came with the bike.

    That's the exact same display that came stock on my magic cycle

    At full charge, your battery should be ay 54.6V and max speed 56mph mean that you have a display that unlocks your bike's speed so it will go as fast as the bike can go! COOL!

    Great! I still do not have my Zebra... It's about time!

      I still love mine. And if something happens to this display, I can put the original one back on. John

      I reseached for a year before I bought my zebra. Great bike. Good conversation item. Everyone I meet while on my zebra they ask mant questions aboout my e bike. It was either RAD or Zebra. Zebra carried more weight. I'm a big guy.

    Can I fiddle with any advanced settings for more speed? Currently I get about 27mph max.

      Not sure but try it. Just be sure to make note of all the current settings before changing them. I think my top speed is around 27 now.

    John, once again I stumble, sort of (liked and subbed) Algorhithm got it maybe?
    Comment: really enjoy the thorough content, update the display on my original cruiser.
    Was wondering chronological order, Freewheel install was after this add on? Top speed
    throttle only was 30 mph. with new freewheel was hoping you may get closer to 35ish?
    Also I am getting toked to try the new battery blender, 36v thru 72 v any capacity Amp Hour to 30ish up to 35 ish.
    My wife has the Lectric 2.0 48V 10 AH adding on to "Blend" in another 48V 17,5 AH. stay tuned for the results.
    Power, torque a bit more speed (hit all her targets.......not) distance is what she wants.

      First I unlocked the original Himiway display and the pedaling was too fast. To fix that, I tried to put a larger crank on but it was too large. Then I replaced the display with the new color one and unlocked that to get the faster speeds but I still had the issue with pedaling too fast. Last, I replaced the free wheel and that fixed the pedaling issue but it was getting real cold here and I didn't have time to really test that out well. I think the top speed is between 25 and 30 using pedal assist. I don't remember if I tested the throttle only for top speed. Going over 30 on an E-Bike is kind of fast and in some states, illegal so you need to make sure about that. For distance, I found that if I used pedal assist 3 and did not exceed 15 mph, my battery lasted well over 40 miles. Any assist level above that increases speed but uses battery at a much faster pace. I hope I answered your questions. Cool on the blender. You will get more distance using 2 batteries. The Himiway Zebra is supposed to go 40 to 80 miles. I think it will on Pedal Assist 3 but my butt can't take much more than 37 miles! I charge it up after every ride because one time I ran out of battery and pedaling that 79 pound bike with just the pedals was tough even in first gear. John

    That new key pad looks like its short on selections. How do You turn on the headlight ?? How do You lock in Your changes ?

    • @littlethislittlethat456
      @littlethislittlethat456  ปีที่แล้ว

      It has the same basic selections as the original. It has a little headlight on the display when the headlight is turned on.
      To switch on the bike light, hold the + button. The backlight brightness is automatically
      reduced. Hold the + button again, the lighting can be switched off.

    Great video!
    One thing though....did you check speed with GPS? Thanks.
    Maybe a bigger crankset to prevent ghost pedaling?

      The speed is right on. It matches to the GPS speeds I was seeing. I swapped out the freewheel and that took care of any ghost pedaling. John

    what does the speed sensor do? does it help change the speed that the bike can go at? I'm new to all this so if anyone can help id appreciate it (:

    • @johnloose6063
      @johnloose6063 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The speed sensor I believe just tells the electronic display the current speed. The display is what controls the top speed of the bike. You can actually choose how fast your bike can go within limits of course.

      Key Display model KD718
      Cost of the color Key-DISP display in November 2022 was just over $112 USD. I bought it from Robinson Cycle.
      Link to Order the Display: ecyclemd.com/store/ols/products/kbohimiway-speed-upgrade-lcd-color-display
      When you order for the Himiway, I used these settings on the website:
      Insurance + Signature Delivery (you decide if you want this)
      +Himiway Zebra, Cobra, Big Dog
      -Shipping to US
      That's it.
      I set it up for Pedal Assist Mode 0-9

      I would assume if it worked on my Zebra, it should work on the Cruiser. Try contacting the seller and manufacturer as well.

    With a 200 p0und man on this bike, it will not go over 50 MPH. My zebra, I'm 280 lol I only get 25MPH. That's plenty fast on a ebike for me.

    • @littlethislittlethat456
      @littlethislittlethat456  ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed but I don't think I ever said it would go 50 MPH. But like you said, 25 MPH is plenty fast enough on a bike. You sure don't want to fall at that speed. John

      I discovered on the Kay Display, after turn on power on my zebra, then press the I button max power turns up to 30mph. Max power flashes on Display.
      Again power up, then press I button. It work for me.
      I bought the Kay Display for more speed. Good luck.

    How’s the bike been since you got it any issues ?

    • @littlethislittlethat456
      @littlethislittlethat456  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No issues. My only complaint was that I couldn't adjust the mileage to what the old display had. So it's like starting the mileage over again. I really like the battery display because I think it's more accurate than the old display. John
