This was awesome! I've tried almost every single one of these foundations, except one. I totally agree that the Neutrogena, Elf and Rimmel are not good at all for oily skin. The Wet n Wild was too heavy and slipped around on my skin, PLUS it broke me out horribly! I actually really like the Revlon Colorstay, but only in the cooler months when I'm not as oily. The Maybelline Superstay felt extremely heavy and mask like and the Matte and Poreless always transferred horribly and sunk into fine lines. I've never tried the NYX one, but I've always wanted to!! I remember trying to Covergirl Clean Matte BB years ago and really liking it!! The only thing is a few years back, I preferred full coverage and now I really enjoy medium coverage as well. I need to pick it up again because I think I'd appreciate it waaaaay more than I used to. My favorite foundation of all time is the Loreal Pro Matte! It's lightweight, doesn't transfer, smooths out my pores and fine lines, has great coverage and wears a super long time. The only time I've ever gotten compliments on my skin is when I'm wearing this one 👍phew! This was a long comment 🤣 but it's always fun to compare makeup on different skin! Just shows how different we all are ❤❤

Also, it has a very strong scent, but it doesn't bother me. I still prefer the pro matte over it because it's more smoothing on my textured skin, but if you don't have that issue I think you'd really enjoy it!!
Revlon Colorstay is literally the best foundation I have ever used and I used to use a lot of absurdly high end foundations & have tried at least 10 different drugstore ones. I have never used primer with it and it lasts all day and if I leave it on overnight it is legit still going the next morning.
I went to the dermatologist and she confirmed that I have oily skin. For foundations, she recommended me Revlon Colorstay for combination/ oily and surprisingly it matched perfectly with my skin.
Oh my gosh finally someone who has the same opinion as me for oily skin on these hyped foundations that just look terrible. My skin reacted the same way to all the ones you’ve mentioned (in the bottom 5. So I’m excited to try the top ones you’ve recommended 🤗

I see these reviews from others and they only do a first impression and of coarse the products can be beautiful upon application but wearing them all day in real life is a completely different story lol and there aren't many people on TH-cam with crazy oily skin. This video is so great. I have the hardest time with my makeup. I never look like I did halfway through the day vs. when I put it on. I don’t cake it on I use a good amount but not to much and it feels sticky on my face and my hands get dirty from one touch of my face like it comes off that easy. I’ve wasted tons of money on foundations and maybe it’s just because I don’t use a primer. I will even cover myself in setting powder to get rid of the sticky feeling.

I always had my foundation transfer to my fingertips as I would go to scratch my face and then there would be a line of makeup missing from my face because it was now under my nail lol. I use the Maybelline Fit Me matte & poreless Foundation, the translucent powder, those loose finishing powder, and the concealer and I love them all and think they're all the best LOL
L'Oreal infallible foundation oxidizes. Also I don't know it looks very bad on me after 4 -5 hours . It's beautiful when applied but later I feel my face looks horrible.

I don't have oily skin, I have more dry skin, but your selection of liquid foundations were pretty good. In my opinion, I hate the Maybelline Fit Me liquid foundation, it was awful for me. It did not stay on for me. But the Maybelline Super Stay Liquid Foundation is amazing, it's light and airy, not heavy feeling and it lasts all day with primer and spray. I don't know if it matters or not, but I absolutely have to use Cetaphil lotion before applying any make up or primer or my skin will get super dry and crack. The great thing about the Cetaphil is that it doesn't clog pores, so it's perfect for wearing under your foundation after you let it dry and soak into your skin. My dermatologist reccomend it and I will never use any other lotion for under my makeup. Thanks for the video, it was super helpful.
I hear great things about Cetaphil but I feel like that would be way too moisturizing for me. My husband has dry skin though and I think he would love that as his skin gets drier throughout the day (which I totally don't get because I turn into a grease ball at the end of the day lol)
@@stephanieholiday Cetaphil has lots of different moisturizers, I just use the basic one for my skin (which is dry to normal, sensitive skin) but for your skin, you should try their DermaControl Oil Absorbing Moisturizer SPF 30 (they also have a Daily Oil-Free lotion). It helps oil & shine. I just went to their website and I had no idea they had so many new ones, I might actually try out their redness reducing lotion too. It's amazing how many they have now. They have a coupon for $4 off if you sign up. I usually get mine from Walmart, you could check to see if they have it there & use your coupon (or Costco has them in a box set of 3 for really cheap!), they might also have other retail store coupons that you can combine with the manufacturer coupon if you need to. Your husband should look at some of their other lotions for super dry skin, they have Cracked Skin Repair, Deep Hydration 48h Activation Serum, Eczema Restoraderm Soothing Moisturizer, Advanced Relief with Shea Butter (I used to use Shea Butter for my skin before, which is super hydrating! (Just don't use on your face, clogs pores!) I even love Bath & Body Works Ultra Shea Butter for my hands since I use antibacterial soap so much since covid) he might like one of those. My mom had Eczema really bad, and she used to tell me how uncomfortable & itchy it was. I wish I knew they had that lotion before she passed away 3 years ago. 😥 But anyway sorry for the long response. I really hope you try it again. It was really a game changer for me because I had bad acne when I was a teenager & had to take Accutane to clear up my acne. It may be the reason why I have dry skin today, but before I took that, I had oily skin too. I understand the struggle! I would use a tissue to pat the oil off, then touch up my make up with a stick concealer. I tried your method and wow, it works so much better for me! I can't thank you enough! In many ways it is a bit better because the makeup stays on a little easier from then, but now they have matte foundation for oily skin which I feel like would have really helped me back then. But having the dry skin, it's not flaky at all, just super tight when I get out of the shower from the steam. The minute I get out of the shower, I wash my face with hot water so it opens my pores & gets off any extra makeup that stuck on that soap didn't get off. Then I put on the lotion, let it soak into the skin, use a hair dryer on medium heat or cool to get it to soak in faster, then primer, foundation, then setting spray. I don't have any other problems after that.

For me and my very oily skin Revlon Colorstay is the best. I tried so many other foundations, including all that you reviewed..But surprisingly my skin likes not the version that is for oily skin. I use the one for dry skin and the shade 200 is also the perfect match because I have pink undertone.
Oh wow, that is so weird lol I did do an updated video on the Revlon Colorstay because someone suggested that I use it without primer and it worked 100 times better than when I first tried it!😄
@@stephanieholiday yep, I don’t use primers at all anymore. They never worked for me, even those specifically “formulated for oily skin”. It seems like just a marketing trick and a way to get us consume more products than we really need. Wayne Goss has a video about that, but I saw it only after I already figured it out myself. 😁
I’ve tried many high end and drugstore foundations and reckon colorstay is my tried and true! I put it on with a sponge. I can even swim in it. I always come back to it.
Yes! I did come back to the Revlon Colorstay and I love it now! I did do an updated video just so that way I'm updating everyone on my thoughts with these foundations. I found that I like the foundation with no primer and that is the perfect way for me to wear it! 🤗

I have massive and very very deep frown lines, i dont and never will allow needles near my face so botox and fillers is out.I suffer from everything your channel is about, including blemishes, dark/sun spots,acne scars, super oily skin and the deep pores(oh my gosh) i just struggle with make up(everything), im super sensitive to everything and have yet to find anything that can cover up!

You got my curious about my first foundation I ever tried that wasn't a powder... Wet N Wild one was pretty good but I agree even years later that it's nothing compared to the fit me foundation!
I have super oily skin and one of the best foundations iv tried which I love is the huda beauty foux filter I absolutely love it, it lasts all day and looks flawless.

I tried the foundation from Nyx (can't stop won't stop) and which i didn't like it. I'm glad my favorite foundation is your top 1!! At nyx I didn't find the shade that suited me. I find that the foundation from maybelline has a lot of light shades and I was able to find my shade
i’ve been using the maybelline matte and poreless since i first started experimenting with makeup and i still just love it maybe even love it more over the years it’s soooo good for the price, i do really love the revlon color stay as well i still wear it in the summer but maybe it just works better for my skin i don’t use primer for it just the foundation and the maybelline matte and poreless pressed powder on top and never had issues it’s actually my go to but i absolutely hated the revlon mousse too was so drying around my mouth and soooo patchy and gross looking i remember i used the neutrogena one before as well and i got it to work really well when i mixed it with the airspun powder to make it a little thicker and it actually looked quite nice i used it like that for a while it was my favorite i also hated the wet and wild because it got patchy too around my nose and really weird around my eyes and mouth

I love to use the L'Oreal Infallible Matte Lock primer under the Fit me foundation, but I'll use the No 7 Airbrush Away primer if I'm feeling a bit dry.
I haven't used the Maybellline Fit Me for awhile. I think I got the wrong shades. Now I'm curious to try it again. I do wish it came with a pump, though.
thank you for this great series, the only problem with maybelline fit me for me in india where there is a lot of sunshine, is that it becomes darker by several shades in the sun or even in the shade during the day, so though i am a 128, i have to wear a 120 (which looks weird in the first hour as its so much paler than me), and then that darkens to my shade after an hour. did you find the same in your climate?

@@stephanieholiday The primer sucks but the foundation is pretty decent. Controls oil, lasts a long time and doesn't settle into fine lines. The only downside is that it clings to dry patches but a good primer will fix that!

I love the wet n wild, but it makes me break out so I had to stop using it. The cover girl matte foundation is one of my boyfriend’s favorites and he has super oily skin. He actually loves the candid foundation from revlon. I’ve actually never tried the fit me so perhaps I’ll have to try that one!
Ahhh!!! Fit me is like a gift from the makeup gods!!!!! It’s the best thing!!! Ooh, I have to try the Candid Foundation, I’m always up for trying new things. I broke out the entire series lol so I’m not sure what caused it lol but trying 10 different foundations in a row did so much to my skin lol

Maybelline fit me did not work for me. It doesn’t stay on my face very long and I have to use or absorbing strips throughout the day and it transfers on to my mask ☹️😣
I only skimmed some of the other videos in the series, so which did you say actually smells nice? Or did they all smell “chemical-y”? Also how do you actually decide which shade to actually pick? I saw in a previous video you got one that was waaay too light but then on your second try you got the right shade for your skin. I can always trust them for an all day wear (outside or inside) Maybelline gives more of a natural finish while being so longwearing. With Covergirl, it is more versatile! You can go glowy or matte. Also, you don't even need to set it. 🤗 I use Maybelline Fit Me pretty much daily and I have never had it oxidize on me so I actually had to go and look it up to see if it does oxidize and it looks like it does. 🤔 I was reading on how to prevent foundation from oxidizing and it looks like I actually already do most of these steps which could explain why it doesn't oxidize on me lol. Did you also try the L’Oréal infallible 24h fresh wear foundation? I’m very oily too, and I did love the Can’t stop Won’t stop foundation, but I’m almost 40 now and I find that very matte foundation accentuate my wrinkles and just make me look older.
I have not tried the L’Oréal infallible 24 hour fresh wear, I hear so many good things about it and I definitely plan on trying it out. I could definitely understand how matte products can accentuate wrinkles so I do rely on hydrating primers.

I had that loreal one, but it dries out too fast, makes it impossible to blend out (even though I only use a bean-sized amount of foundation and blend in a small area at one time). Is there any thing I can do to fix that? I dont want to buy a new one cuz I ran out of money 😢
Also if you want to, you could do like a series on affordable eyeliners for hooded eyes and oily eyelids, cause finding an eyeliner that lasts and doesn't transfer is like super rare to find, at least for me hahaha, so that would be pretty cool too, but only if you want to of course

I have super oily skin and hated the Maybelline fit me Matte recently. My favorite is the Revlon ColorStay with no primer. I like the Wet and Wild photo focus, just not for all day wear.
Try silicone based primers with silicone or oil based Foundation and water based with water based.silicone is a synthetic oil, silicone/oil and water HATE each other and will naturally not mix chemically.
i think the loreal paris infallible is too matte for me. like it doesnt give me this good feeling that my skin is gonna stay matte all day cos i hv oily skin

Revlon Colorstay is literally the best foundation I have ever used and I used to use a lot of absurdly high end foundations & have tried at least 10 different drugstore ones. I have never used primer with it and it lasts all day and if I leave it on overnight it is legit still going the next morning.

I went to the dermatologist and she confirmed that I have oily skin. For foundations, she recommended me Revlon Colorstay for combination/ oily and surprisingly it matched perfectly with my skin.
I did try that foundation again and used it without primer and I loved it, I did an updated video on it and it’s one of my top foundations now 🤗
Oh my gosh finally someone who has the same opinion as me for oily skin on these hyped foundations that just look terrible. My skin reacted the same way to all the ones you’ve mentioned (in the bottom 5. So I’m excited to try the top ones you’ve recommended 🤗

That is why I wanted to do this series. I see these reviews from others and they only do a first impression and of coarse the products can be beautiful upon application but wearing them all day in real life is a completely different story lol and there aren't many people on TH-cam with crazy oily skin.

This video is so great. I have the hardest time with my makeup. I never look like I did halfway through the day vs. when I put it on. I don’t cake it on I use a good amount but not to much and it feels sticky on my face and my hands get dirty from one touch of my face like it comes off that easy. I’ve wasted tons of money on foundations and maybe it’s just because I don’t use a primer. I will even cover myself in setting powder to get rid of the sticky feeling.

You know, I used have the same problem. I always had my foundation transfer to my fingertips as I would go to scratch my face and then there would be a line of makeup missing from my face because it was now under my nail lol. I do rely on primer as well as setting powder. I did another video on primer, definitely check out my primer wars series. I go over the best drugstore primers!

I use the Maybelline Fit Me matte & poreless Foundation, the translucent powder, those loose finishing powder, and the concealer and I love them all and think they're all the best LOL
L'Oreal infallible foundation oxidizes. Also I don't know it looks very bad on me after 4 -5 hours . It's beautiful when applied but later I feel my face looks horrible.
same with me but after 2 hours..
It will start to emphasize all the textures and pores + will make my skin look very oily after 4 hours..

oh my god!! this came up on my recommendations rn and the last place being neutrogena is so funny because i just got through a whole bottle and the way it smears and transfers and cracks off before i even set my face … insanity
I don't have oily skin, I have more dry skin, but your selection of liquid foundations were pretty good. In my opinion, I hate the Maybelline Fit Me liquid foundation, it was awful for me. It did not stay on for me. But the Maybelline Super Stay Liquid Foundation is amazing, it's light and airy, not heavy feeling and it lasts all day with primer and spray. I don't know if it matters or not, but I absolutely have to use Cetaphil lotion before applying any make up or primer or my skin will get super dry and crack. The great thing about the Cetaphil is that it doesn't clog pores, so it's perfect for wearing under your foundation after you let it dry and soak into your skin. My dermatologist reccomend it and I will never use any other lotion for under my makeup. Thanks for the video, it was super helpful.
I hear great things about Cetaphil but I feel like that would be way too moisturizing for me. My husband has dry skin though and I think he would love that as his skin gets drier throughout the day (which I totally don't get because I turn into a grease ball at the end of the day lol)
@@stephanieholiday Cetaphil has lots of different moisturizers, I just use the basic one for my skin (which is dry to normal, sensitive skin) but for your skin, you should try their DermaControl Oil Absorbing Moisturizer SPF 30 (they also have a Daily Oil-Free lotion). It helps oil & shine. I just went to their website and I had no idea they had so many new ones, I might actually try out their redness reducing lotion too. It's amazing how many they have now. They have a coupon for $4 off if you sign up. I usually get mine from Walmart, you could check to see if they have it there & use your coupon (or Costco has them in a box set of 3 for really cheap!), they might also have other retail store coupons that you can combine with the manufacturer coupon if you need to.
Your husband should look at some of their other lotions for super dry skin, they have Cracked Skin Repair, Deep Hydration 48h Activation Serum, Eczema Restoraderm Soothing Moisturizer, Advanced Relief with Shea Butter (I used to use Shea Butter for my skin before, which is super hydrating! (Just don't use on your face, clogs pores!) I even love Bath & Body Works Ultra Shea Butter for my hands since I use antibacterial soap so much since covid) he might like one of those. My mom had Eczema really bad, and she used to tell me how uncomfortable & itchy it was. I wish I knew they had that lotion before she passed away 3 years ago. 😥 But anyway sorry for the long response. I really hope you try it again. It was really a game changer for me because I had bad acne when I was a teenager & had to take Accutane to clear up my acne. It may be the reason why I have dry skin today, but before I took that, I had oily skin too. I understand the struggle! I would use a tissue to pat the oil off, then touch up my make up with a stick concealer. I tried your method and wow, it works so much better for me! I can't thank you enough! It's always been a struggle to keep my foundation to stick! I've used so many primers & sprays! They didn't work well till I tried this!!! Wish I knew this long ago! 😆 Thank you.

Ok, weird question. Since you have had oily skin and now have dry skin, do you appreciate your dry skin more? I'm just curious lol I feel like we all want something we don't have.

In many ways it is a bit better because the makeup stays on a little easier from then, but now they have matte foundation for oily skin which I feel like would have really helped me back then. But having the dry skin, it's not flaky at all, just super tight when I get out of the shower from the steam. The minute I get out of the shower, I wash my face with hot water so it opens my pores & gets off any extra makeup that stuck on that soap didn't get off. Then I put on the lotion, let it soak into the skin, use a hair dryer on medium heat or cool to get it to soak in faster, then primer, foundation, then setting spray. I don't have any other problems after that.

For me and my very oily skin Revlon Colorstay is the best. I tried so many other foundations, including all that you reviewed..But surprisingly my skin likes not the version that is for oily skin. I use the one for dry skin and the shade 200 is also the perfect match because I have pink undertone.

@@stephanieholiday yep, I don’t use primers at all anymore. They never worked for me, even those specifically “formulated for oily skin”. It seems like just a marketing trick and a way to get us consume more products than we really need. Wayne Goss has a video about that, but I saw it only after I already figured it out myself. 😁

Yes! I did come back to the Revlon Colorstay and I love it now! I did do an updated video just so that way I'm updating everyone on my thoughts with these foundations. I found that I like the foundation with no primer and that is the perfect way for me to wear it! 🤗

I have massive and very very deep frown lines, i dont and never will allow needles near my face so botox and fillers is out.I suffer from everything your channel is about, including blemishes, dark/sun spots,acne scars, super oily skin and the deep pores(oh my gosh) i just struggle with make up(everything), im super sensitive to everything and have yet to find anything that can cover up!

I have super oily skin and one of the best foundations iv tried which I love is the huda beauty foux filter I absolutely love it, it lasts all day and looks flawless.
I tried that foundation out a while back and I remember it just not working out for me. I think I remember it being cakey.

I tried the foundation from Nyx (can't stop won't stop) and which i didn't like it. I'm glad my favorite foundation is your top 1!! At nyx I didn't find the shade that suited me. I find that the foundation from maybelline has a lot of light shades and I was able to find my shade

i’ve been using the maybelline matte and poreless since i first started experimenting with makeup and i still just love it maybe even love it more over the years it’s soooo good for the price, i do really love the revlon color stay as well i still wear it in the summer but maybe it just works better for my skin i don’t use primer for it just the foundation and the maybelline matte and poreless pressed powder on top and never had issues it’s actually my go to but i absolutely hated the revlon mousse too was so drying around my mouth and soooo patchy and gross looking i remember i used the neutrogena one before as well and i got it to work really well when i mixed it with the airspun powder to make it a little thicker and it actually looked quite nice i used it like that for a while it was my favorite i also hated the wet and wild because it got patchy too around my nose and really weird around my eyes and mouth

I love to use the L'Oreal Infallible Matte Lock primer under the Fit me foundation, but I'll use the No 7 Airbrush Away primer if I'm feeling a bit dry.

thank you for this great series, the only problem with maybelline fit me for me in india where there is a lot of sunshine, is that it becomes darker by several shades in the sun or even in the shade during the day, so though i am a 128, i have to wear a 120 (which looks weird in the first hour as its so much paler than me), and then that darkens to my shade after an hour. did you find the same in your climate?

I tried the L.A. girl pro primer...I wasn’t really a fan of it, only because it didn’t really help with my large pores & fine lines. If the foundation can help with that, I’ll definitely try that out! 😊
@@stephanieholiday The primer sucks but the foundation is pretty decent. Controls oil, lasts a long time and doesn't settle into fine lines. The only downside is that it clings to dry patches but a good primer will fix that!

I love the wet n wild, but it makes me break out so I had to stop using it. The cover girl matte foundation is one of my boyfriend’s favorites and he has super oily skin. He actually loves the candid foundation from revlon. I’ve actually never tried the fit me so perhaps I’ll have to try that one!

As far as # 7 Elf , I use semi matte in it. I am not completely oily but I am a normal to oily skin that is also mature 54 year YOUNG. (lol)
Maybelline fit me did not work for me. It doesn’t stay on my face very long and I have to use or absorbing strips throughout the day and it transfers on to my mask ☹️😣

Also how do you actually decide which shade to actually pick? I saw in a previous video you got one that was waaay too light but then on your second try you got the right shade for your skin. I’ve always stayed away from drugstore foundations because I’m afraid I’ll pick the wrong color.

Those 2 foundations are definitely my ride or die foundations. I can always trust them for an all day wear (outside or inside) Maybelline gives more of a natural finish while being so longwearing. With Covergirl, it is more versatile! You can go glowy or matte. Also, you don't even need to set it. 🤗
I use Maybelline Fit Me pretty much daily and I have never had it oxidize on me so I actually had to go and look it up to see if it does oxidize and it looks like it does. 🤔
I was reading on how to prevent foundation from oxidizing and it looks like I actually already do most of these steps which could explain why it doesn't oxidize on me lol.

I do agree with you with you about the Wet n Wild, I feel like my pores are much larger now since I made that video lol and I just recently noticed that. I do have to rely on my elf Poreless putty primer when wearing that foundation.
I do believe the NYX is more transfer proof that the Maybelline Fit Me.
Did you also try the L’Oréal infallible 24h fresh wear foundation? I’m very oily too, and I did love the Can’t stop Won’t stop foundation, but I’m almost 40 now and I find that very matte foundation accentuate my wrinkles and just make me look older.
I have not tried the L’Oréal infallible 24 hour fresh wear, I hear so many good things about it and I definitely plan on trying it out. I could definitely understand how matte products can accentuate wrinkles so I do rely on hydrating primers.

I had that loreal one, but it dries out too fast, makes it impossible to blend out (even though I only use a bean-sized amount of foundation and blend in a small area at one time). Is there any thing I can do to fix that? I dont want to buy a new one cuz I ran out of money 😢

Try silicone based primers with silicone or oil based Foundation and water based with water based.silicone is a synthetic oil, silicone/oil and water HATE each other and will naturally not mix chemically.

Did #1 rub off on your nose? So I think I have combination skin so most foundations rub off/fall off but also make me look dry and aged in certain areas hahaha I bought the dewy and smooth and mayne now thinking I shouldve gone with the matte & Poreless
