No soap this week. Here’s why…

I went to Playa del Carmen! A hurricane hit that evening. That night, before it hit, the beach had beautiful, powerful waves and an ominous darkness in the distance. We had to stay in our rooms with the doors and windows shut and locked from 10pm to 10am. I was amazed at the hardworking resort staff who worked tirelessly to have the resort mostly cleaned up the following day. What an experience for this Wisconsinite!
Several days later we sailed to Isla Mujeres and it poured rain on us on the return trip. The sea was rough and it felt like being on a roller coaster. It sounds awful but was so much fun!!
On a less positive note, I woke up sick with Covid the morning after I came home. I’m just happy it didn’t hit before I got home.
So that is why I didn’t make soap this week. Next week TBD. ;)

Yikes, double bummer with the hurricane and covid! I think I see some design inspirations though!! Prayers for a quick recovery.

Triple whammy actually. Security line was so long in Chicago on our return that we missed our connecting flight to Milwaukee. I had to rent a car and drive back from Chicago O’Hare airport to the Milwaukee airport for my car to go home! LOL
