I thought this was a very peaceful and beautiful place. I did find it a little odd that in the most expensive hotel in the Middle East one still is charged for drinks and snacks.

This resort might be better than the Maldives in the winter as it has virtually no rain. However, in August the average high in Umm Lajj is 97°F. Maybe the reason that there are nearly no guests in this video is that it was recorded in August?
This is spectacular, as always. Thank you for taking everyone on a delightful trip. You spare no detail and it is very endearing to travel like this. Can anyone explain what the tall cobra shaped building was? I looked it up while the video played but it only pulls up the Ritz Carlton itself.
Both resorts have these. To the best of my knowledge, When I was there and saw it, it seemed to be a decorative covering for the cell phone towers to match the resorts Arabian vibe.

I would love to have seen some swimming & snorkeling footage. I wish I could stay in a place like this for the rest of my life. Just swimming in turquoise water, eating exotic tasty food, and trying to relax & recover from my incredibly difficult life. I hope that, at least, heaven is something like this for me.

Normally, the transfer from the airport is by car + speedboat, and the transfer fee for the car + speedboat is included. This seaplane transfer is an upgrade from the speedboat, and an additional fee is required for the upgrade.
I would love to have seen some swimming & snorkeling footage. I wish I could stay in a place like this for the rest of my life. Just swimming in turquoise water, eating exotic tasty food, and trying to relax & recover from my incredibly difficult life. I hope that, at least, heaven is something like this for me.
