Yes, its a very popular hotel. I used to go to Grand Iberostar and Iberostar Punta Cana. I prefer the Royalton Bavaro.
We haven't been to the Iberostar nor the Grand yet, hopefully we get to go this year 🙂
I'm sorry but I need to jump in here because honestly this review is terrible. I have been to this resort a few times, the reason is because it is one of the best! You cannot judge and beat on a resort 2 days after a hurricane goes through it. First, you said there was 3 restaurants, that's incorrect. There's actually 5 and you didn't even try the Brazilian BBQ which is absolutely amazing. Every time I have been to this resort it's been super clean, everything has been operational (example lazy river) and there service has been top notch. Throwing videos for review on youtube after a hurricane doesn't help anyone. I understand you had these places booked and are trying to make an honest attempt here, but maybe try again NOT during hurricane season?
Thank you for your comment, Nathan! Since we live here we have to deal with hurricane season for 6 months of the year so it’s life as normal for us. Unfortunately we stayed after the hurricane and it is what we experienced. We mentioned this in the video and we enjoyed our stay at the Royalton! It was not our favorite but we would return. We’ll have to go back to try the Brazilian bbq! It wasn’t open during our stay, nor any other restaurants other than the ones we showed. Our intention is not to “poo poo” on any resort, but rather give our opinion; We trust people understand an opinion is subjective and can differ from person to person. We really appreciate you watching and being part of the conversation! It helps us grow and enriches the community 🙂

Nathan W - thank you I hear nothing but great reviews this was by far the worst one …I feel people want to be pampered so much and if they are not they give bad reviews I heard the buffet and every restaurant was great won’t be using this review

Thank you for your review. We are looking at coming in January to the DR and are torn on best resorts (for the price) to stay at. Bavaro, Chic and Lopesan are on our list. Possible Majestic Mirage. Which do you recommend?
We haven't been to the Mirage out of all four. Between the Royalton Bavaro and Chic and the Lopesan we would chose the Lopesan without thinking it twice! Overall it's a better resort right now. Make sure you watch our review and tour of the Lopesan 😉

We were there on September 24th 2022
We went with family of 6 including an infant and 4 year old on Oct 5.All the 5 restaurants were open ,food truck and BBQ were also great.Beach was clean.Incredible service .Overall had great time with beautiful weather and would highly recommend to others
Just got back. I’ll give it a 4 out of 10. Extremely disappointed. Food, service, cleanliness all seriously lacking. I’ll go back to Live Aqua. Would not recommend
So staying at the Bavaro gave you access to CHIC as well? Does staying at 1 Royalton give you access to all of them?
Hi, Simone 🙂 no, we stayed separately at both of them. The only Royalton that includes access to another is the Royalton Punta Cana to the Royalton Splash
i stayed at royalton bavaro and we walked on the beach to royalton splash waterpark, they allow you to use the park and you can also eat food at the other royalton resorts too
Hi I am planning on going with friends. What was missing for the rate (8/10) ?
Hi! We liked this resort. When we scored it we were comparing it to other resorts as well. The missing points are mainly due to the room, and tastiness of the food. During our stay the lazy river was not working properly either and check in was delayed. Don’t let that discourage you though! As you can see from our review we had a nice time 🙂
Any chance of finding a resort there with a heated pool for Jan or feb😅
Hola! Out of the 23 resorts we've stayed so far, the only one we've seen with heated tubs is the Margaritaville Cap Cana. Hope it helps! 🙂
Is there a swim up bar
Yes, Sharon 🙂 there is one in the infinity pool near the beach and one in the lazy river

The swim up rooms aren’t the best, the rooms with a living room are SOOOOOO much better. And the sewer like smell is just old water leaking from the jacuzzi. The same happened to me but we just switched rooms
