I started using dry Rapashy as fry food. (Heard it from Cory) It's being fed to tiny goldfish fry, and nothing else.. It works like a charm, and is sooooooo easy.
If you are curious, you can send in some fish poop to certain labs to see if there are parasite issues. Also not very difficult to do on your own if you have a microscope. In many countries you'd need a prescription for dewroming meds, anyway.

From reading I've done, erythromycin is considered by biologists to be mostly useless in aquarium fish. Here's a quote from a paper I found published by the University of Florida -- "Use of Antibiotics in Ornamental Fish Aquaculture by Roy P. E. Yanong -- Erythromycin is most effective against gram-positive bacteria... [But] The vast majority of bacteria that cause disease in fish are gram-negative, so erythromycin should only be used after culture and sensitivity test results confirm it will be effective." Isn't it better to treat for common diseases, not rare ones, during quarantine? The hobby is filled with unjustified trends. I think erythromycin use during quarantine is one of them. My two and half cents.
Is it working for you? Rare diseases are rare, so how would you know? Erythromycin is popular on TH-cam because Cory made it trendy, IMO. I wouldn't be saying so if it weren't for the fact that erythromycin cost over $100 for the large jar. You made a helpful video about bad advice -- like the "1-inch-per-gallon rule," so I thought you'd appreciate help in return. And you should see a doctor about your cough, or a witch doctor... whatever works for you.
Would be very interested to inquire or know, the lowest temperatures, you and/or others have been able to raise Guppies at comfortably. In about 12 generations (from fish originating out of Singapore, raised in over 80degF water), I have a few strains that grow comfortably in average 60degF. As to your note on more males generating from warmer water,... I find I seem to produce more males in my colonies by having only 2 adult males to 10 or 20 adult females. The ratio seems to trigger the young into developing more males, which I also remove to another tub or tank just before they mature. This way I consistently keep many more females to males in my breeding colonies, resulting with young maturing into a higher ratio of males (which get separated and sold, growing out in male only tanks). I also find keeping less males in with the colony, that their fins don't get nipped or damaged, I feel the females get tired of being harassed to breed too much and nip back at males, damaging fins, and when there are so many males vying for dominance and breeding they nip each-other more too. Whereas if you keep the temptation(females) away, and raise all male groups they don't worry about hierarchy as much either, and keep their fins nice.... Anyhow, apologies for run-on sentences. Thanks for sharing your insights and I'd be interested what others might think about what I myself see with my colonies. I've got various separate colonies of yellow tuxedos, Magenta genes, black and blues (I bred from Neon blue males, and Feeder guppy females), and some fun Lyretail/Endler type crosses (one I call my Christmas or Clown guppies [Gold body Endler with red, white and green spots and red Lyre tail], and another strain I call Green Arrows[Green and black striping, with green lyre tail]).
