You've got a wonderful channel. Just been watching your latest videos, plus your video on how you got started. Just wanted to encourage you to keep going... I am in the process of collecting equipment (slowly) to eventually build a fish room. Your content is always super helpful! Thanks. T4
I started with bigbox guppies. they had babies. Now I have 2 tanks and a fry box. The bebies grew stronger and they live longer. I must say I researched for 3 month before starting.
I just got into the hobby a couple months ago. Already have multiple tanks. I was just at my local aquarium group and we did a zoom meeting with you! You're videos are awesome and you're 100% the same person on your channel as you are in person and It's awesome! I plan to get some of your guppies when the weather clears up!
I still remember the first fry that came from my black mollies in my 15 gallon when I was 9 or 10 years old. Obsessed over mollies back in the day. Now thinking back to where we had that 15 gallon tank.... on a tv stand directly above a t.v. - probably not the best spot... haha... still, lifetime hobby
Appreciate the videos I’m experienced hobbiest but love to see you explaining it I’m new to guppies although I’ve kept all the other live bearers over the years
The first Endler guppy male I ever bred was absolutely not at all good looking stock. My daughter kept my bent tails or culls. This guy had a fat body and a bent tail. For some reason he survived every calminaris outbreak, my daughter finding out you put the Prime in before you change the water not after. I have had a nightmare getting any guppies that live. Finally when I was down to 2 females I looked at him and said well I might as well see if I can get this longevity gene he has and cull. That male was 5 years old when he died and he must have been bent during birth because his offspring is hardy as heck and never a bent tail. Just leaving a tribute to my favorite mutt ever. Never lost a guppy who made me cry before.
Hi Michael, love your channel, got a question, been reading online that some people based on temperature or hardness of water they get more male than female, whats your experience on this matter? Thanks
I fell in love with platy to go with my goldfish. I wanna breed platy for different colors.... is advice for any live bearer gonna be good for platy? I see guppy breeding guppy breeding guppy breeding but not a lot about platy. Probably due to guppy$$$. Can I apply guppy info to platy?
Yes, breeding platies and guppies are the same. But you shouldn't put a platy and goldfish together. The goldfish will eat it and the water requirements are different.
If I buy my kid a tank for xmas, should I hang it off the edge of his dresser like you do with the tanks in your fishroom racks? Do the fish enjoy looking down through the glass overhang at the floor, or are they confused that there is air both above and below them?
Hey Michael i have three display tanks but wanted to try breeding guppies, will the guppies breed to overpopulate a tank? and is there a way to stop guppies from over breeding?
Hey Michael I'm just wondering what are some online stores you would recommend for starter breeding colonies of 6 or so guppies (2 males/4 females). I see that you only sell pairs and I want to start out with that small colony of more females to males.
Instructions should be : Steps as follows………. 1. Get a tank 2. Put water into tank 3. Put a male and a female guppy into the tank 💥 Try not to blink you will miss when you go from 2 to a million

Though I know all of that information due to the fact that I am breeding Guppies. But your explanation is so well. Thank you.
Thanks. I like to keep it simple.
Great video! I always love the bloopers haha
Glad you like them!
Thank you for the information. However, I could not focus because your flowerhorn buddy behind you was spazzing out. I loved every second! Peace.
Taco is the man!
Yes, I have bas leer! 😊 the breeding goes a little too fast sometimes. I get so much guppies.
That’s good though!
I like the uncensored Michael version better , let's see some vids
like that. Keep up the good work.
I’ll try!
Hi Peter. Really cool video you got here. I love you!

I love hob filters and put the sponge on the intake cause then it still has good sucking power and doesn’t suck up fry
Nice
😂 you surprise me you forgot the most important detail turning the lights off and put it on a Barry White album
No need! LOL

Awesome video dude. My guppies feed on algea and newly hatched snails believe it or not.
That is awesome!
Mutt guppies are the S#%!. Got mine from you...and the are still going strong
Noice!
May I just say also applicable to breeding Platies.
Really most live bearers.
any idea when the black panda guppies will be back in stock?
Yes! Next week, they are growing out! Make sure to sign up for notifications on them!

I notice you never mention Tetra feed. Do you not like the brand.
Nope. I mention the brands I use and like.
If I buy my kid a tank for xmas, should I hang it off the edge of his dresser like you do with the tanks in your fishroom racks? Do the fish enjoy looking down through the glass overhang at the floor, or are they confused that there is air both above and below them?
They don’t care.
If you could pick any guppy on your site for a breeding for profit tank, which would you pick?
Red Dragon
@@MichaelsFishRoom Yea, that's what i was thinking.
Can I keep a Betta w guppies?
You can do what ever you want! (I wouldn’t though)
Hey Michael i have three display tanks but wanted to try breeding guppies, will the guppies breed to overpopulate a tank? and is there a way to stop guppies from over breeding?
Depends on the set up and your goal.
They love live micro worms.
Cool

The only fish store here in Vicksburg, MS (Petsence) only sells MALE guppies...dammit
But you can order pairs at www.michaelsfishroom.com
Lol. Play some Barry White
LOL
❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
👍👍👍
1 quality male +2 quality females + Dr. Bassleer = OMG! where do I put all these fry?
Send them to me!
I like guppies and all...but they just breed too slow
Oh, yeah…..said no breeder ever.
Fish do not eat a lot - The price of high end foods imo is mute . Buy the best and your fish will do much better.
yup
The problem with breeding guppies is to stop them from doing so ! 😂
Lol
you sound a bit like peter griffin :)
I get that a lot.
Having that flowerhorn in that small ass tank is a tragedy, you dont deserve that fish.
Tell me you have no idea what you are talking about, without telling me.
Instructions should be :
Steps as follows……….
1. Get a tank
2. Put water into tank
3. Put a male and a female guppy into the tank

Try not to blink you will miss when you go from 2 to a million

Very brief haha

Winner!
Haha.
