    You need more views dude! I love your vibe and you're not one of those annoying screaming Florida kids catshing fish. Love from sweden

      Thankyou so much!!! We love making these videos so there's definitely more on the way!
      One of the reasons we started the channel! We love watching wild fish trapping content but as you said sometimes they can be very loud videos haha!

      Not very well known in the aquarium trade either!

    Heya. Enjoying your vids, and the much more laid back Australian vibe than our highly excitable Florida cousins :)
    I've managed to catch a few different gudgeons here in Sydney in the last couple of weeks, but i'm having problems figuring out exactly what they are. I know you said you're no expert, but do you know of any way to differentiate between Striped and Cox's? I'm leaning towards these being the latter because they're sticking themselves to the sides of the tank.

      Cheers for the comment dude! Glad your enjoying the videos we love making them! As for the gudgeons they look nealry the same the little buggers! I think cox's like to climb a little more then stripped and they are bit darker with more yellow! The stripped has a bit more silver (carp looking) and looks closer to a spotted! But geez they look the same haha!

    Are these waters primarily silty? I’m try to recreate my aquarium as closely to their natural habit to attempt to breed them(I know it’s basically impossible but I like a challenge lol)

      Not normally! This was right after I big rain and heaps of storm water was around! Usually this spot is clear with usual level of silt! But I've found adding driftwood to tennon up the water seem to make them happy! But yer I've had no luck with empires!

    Nice one mate. I keep empires, crimson spotted rainbows, and Pacific Blue eyes, all beautiful fish as you say!

      You got all the best ones! 👌
      Was so good to see all those natives! And no invasive fish! Definitely going back when the weather is better! It's normally crystal clear!

      Random question but have either of you heard of anyone doing a hybrid breed between two types? I have a dam full of northern spotted and was curious if they have ever been crossed with empire of peacock ones

    • @footagemissing
      @footagemissing 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@justfnqlife empire, peacock, purple spotted gudgeons are all from a different genus

      @justfnqlife 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@footagemissing does that mean they can't cross breed? I'm not that savey

      I've heard of rainbows cross breeding in tanks! But never any gudgeons but doesn't mean it can't be done! I'd live to see a purple spot and an empire crossed!

      Luckily for us there's no crocs! Still about 8hrs away from any swamp puppies!
