Altaf, thank you so much ! Incase you don't realize your videos mean so much to people who have lived there but cannot visit Dar now. There is so much nostalgia. We are less interested in new big hotels but more interested in the Dsm and East Africa, current but in relation to how it was in the older times. This documentary only you can provide unlike other East African videos by people who have no roots there. Thank you. Keep up with the good work. We appreciate it !

I actually started 3 years ago when during my visit, one of my friends asked me to record the street they were living on....for his parents who were not going to be able to visit Dar again due to poor health. From there, it went viral and I started getting requests to record other locations. In the process, I realised what Dar means to people and how they missed their old days & life. It makes me so happy to know that I could add that little joy to their lives. I hope to visit Dar sometime again this year and do a few more videos.
Really enjoying all your videos Altaf .Any chance of showing my parents shop on msimbazi street opposite the police station in kariakoo.The store was in Walji Ramji building with wachama ,Daya and then us Bagamoyo produce shop and the neighborhood?
