Zanzibar Halwa 'ile yenyewe'. We wrapped those in half-dried palm leaves formed into a cone, then we just devour it. One of the best Halwas in the world. Better had when warm 👌😋
Wonderful. Always find walking in the stone city like having a sauna in a "tandoor". Orientation and way finding is like being in a maze. The afternoon sun heat and the narrow streets is not for the faint hearted. Sadly, the little shops are full of tacky Chinese stuff and therefore lose their old charm of local hand crafted product. Such is the modern outlook.
