    Thank you for this video. I memorized the steps and was able to fix my mom's 1998 ML320 windshield wiper unit! The plastic cog you cleaned and lubed was cracked on my mom's car so I ended up buying an aftermarket motor unit from Autozone because it was in stock. While it was plug and play, I had to re-align and adjust the wiper rod assembly because I attached it to the motor with the blade rotation starting on the wrong side of the motor. I removed the rod assembly from the motor, and re-aligned the assembly to have the rotation start at the bottom of the motor rotation vs. from the top and it was fixed. Unfortunately I found this out after I put it back together, so I quickly unassembled and re-assembled after the adjustment. Your video made it easy, but saved us lots of money vs having to take it to a mechanic.

    Nice work fubabox much as I love my 17 year old Merc C200 I just hate the one bouncing around wiper, just wished they had put two normal ones on it lol as in Scotland we get more than our share of rain. Good to see your videos Thanks.

    Really good instruction.
    I will need to do this also since mine have the same issue and not goes back into park position and have to do it manual. But not sure if I go for a new wiper motor instead of this repair.

    Okay, great video. But what is the name/part number of the clamp that you use for for pulling the wiper arms off? I have broken 2 pulley-pullers trying to do this...

    Thanks for the vid. Really helped out in my repair of my cousins car. Question: after the repair I noticed at the initial start of operation the wipers go in reverse for 2 inches and goes back to normal operation. I had to reposition the wipers so they didn't hit the cowl at the start. He said it was normal. I'm not so sure. Do you have any comments?

      the relationship between the motor and the big white gear wheel with the contacts on it has slipped somehow...as far as I know it can be popped up and turned a notch or 2 in either direction so the motor park position is matched with the wipers down position

      @XtremeNaqvi 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried to popping up cover by flat screw driver I lift the wiper then tried to popping up the bolt cover but it so fragile the plastic broke down. So what is the proper way to popping out the plastic cover ?

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      XtremeNaqvi the part of the bolt cover that is furthest from the arm pops up first and then swivels up

      I sprayed electric cleaner put the die Electronic grease . I did exactly whatever you have done on your video. The motor is running the linkage arms moving after reinstalling back everything still wipers are not running. The only thing I didn't put die electric grease on linkage bolt joint. The wipers are not working. Do I have to put grease on linkage boltjoint? ?

    It really would have helped if you showed where to clean out the debris that would cause the water to get in the cabin passenger foot well area. All that work and you missed a critical procedure that many, many people need. Wet passenger floor is a major issue with these vehicles. Although your video is really great . THank you very much
