    In this video we explored the beautiful town of Sapa in northern Vietnam. We went on a 3-4 hour hike in the Muong Hoa valley and even though it was cloudy and rainy the scenery was still breathtaking. We can definitely see why Sapa is one of Vietnam's top destinations

    Stunningly beautiful rice paddies! And such a surprise to see the town lit up like Las Vegas (but Sapa is much more tasteful).

    Great video! It's amazing how the terraces go up the hills. Very neat to see how they cultivate the rice fields! The architecture is also amazing to see in such a remote place.

      I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed the terraces going up the hills. They decorate the country side very well. What' amazing is how these architectures reminded in pristine condition after the Vietnam War!!!

    I was in Sapa for only a day or two, and it rained constantly. The roads were flooded. I did the valley hike myself, and my shoes and socks were soaked with water. I kept reminding myself that it's about the journey and not the destination. After a very long day I got to "the end" of the trail and had difficulty securing a scooter ride back into town because most required or highly recommended local guides. This video very much reminded me of my time there. Wished I could have stayed longer and explored a bit more.

    I've always wanted to go to Vietnam ever since my first time watching Full Metal Jacket. The country looks stunning, even with terrible weather. Did you go during the off season? Anyway, Vietnam was once a French colony, so it doesn't surprise me to see European buildings.

    You should do a Monsoon travel time in Southeast Asia to show what it would be like during the rainy season as a traveler. I have done it many times...sucks ass.
    Then next year travel around Asia during the dry season November to June.

    • @JumpingPlaces
      @JumpingPlaces  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I already got plans to leave south east asia in about 2 weeks now so wont be here for the worst of it. But i do plan to come back during the cooler dry season though :D

    • @JumpingPlaces
      @JumpingPlaces  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks man, so the air is cool because the image quality is better and also the size is amazing. As you saw in this vid it even fit in a 5 Liter wet bag which is nuts.. But it is noisy as hell (thinking of getting low noise propellers to make that better) but the major issue really is the signal.. I flew it today and it totally disconnected on me and it was right above me, it is going to be a serious issue because it seems i can only fly with no problem if i am completely in the middle of nowhere.. Many times i am in a city but fly over a field or ocean and stuff so the wifi issue will screw me over

    • @dejanjordan
      @dejanjordan 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Chris Nguyen There are many types of cristianity(protestant,anglican...), what I meant was roman catholic as is a mayor religion in France,Germany,Italy, my country Slovenia ,especialy Spain and Portugal...UK has its own church but Ireland is one of the oldest roman catholic countries out there...

    • @dejanjordan
      @dejanjordan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well history can be tricky because as they say history is written by the victors. To my knowledge and to my understanding of history it was almost always because of the power struggles between the powerful wealthy people. For instance the Roman Catholic pope had immense power in the beginning, even the european kings we're under him... a man named Martin Luther for instance started Lutheranism because he believed that the church had become corrupted so he started his own thing, as for England is concerned I'm pretty sure Chris can give you the best story and so on, basically the teachings differ some but that main principal is basically the same... it was all just political power struggle if you ask me. I was brought up in Roman Catholic beliefs went to Sunday school and had been baptized and so on but I forgot almost everything as I personally do not believe in any religion.
