Can you do Koh Samet or Samed as the locals call it i believe. I went in 2012 loved it but didn't explore far past our hotel right on the rocks 5 steps from the ocean and to the main beach. I did find an amazing pristine beach in a national park just south of the main jetty, with a jetty in the center of the beach that is epic for taking photos. And a hidden 30 or 40 foot high white and gold budda on a hill east of the main road of shops. Was really chill being so unknown back then and a hot spot for Thai people to holiday. Wasn't many Ferang's back then would love to see how it has evolved. Cheers Paddy, Joel.
This is ABOSLUTELY AWESOME!! I love this “24 HOURS IN” series. I am sure plenty of your viewers are loving this too.😍 THANK YOU❣️ for giving us an in- depth look of the different neighborhoods/enclaves in Bangkok. This is so helpful for people like us who are planning to retire in Thailand or make it a home base in Asia. Maybe you could also do this same series in Chang Mai, and Huahin, etc. Thanks again!!😊
Lived in Tokyo for 7 years and exploring it never got boring. Baffles me when people visit and stay on the beaten path because there’s so much to discover and explore which is the real side of the city.
After watching your channel for the last year and a half (originally researching Vietnam) we finally booked flights to Bangkok early 2025! We will have three months to visit Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. I have your e-books downloaded and we are so excited to finally get there. It's like a dream come true. Thank you for all of your awesome information!
Paddy: we have watched all of your Bangkok series - they have been wonderful. And they’ve motivated me to want to go to Thailand - we are scheduled to go in February/March. Thanks for your great content
Love the Standard ❤ My husband and myself stayed there last year & had a blast! This video makes us miss Bangkok so much and cannot wait to head back there! Love their all you can eat breakfast and my goodness the rooftop bar was amazing!!! Thanks for posting this video Paddy😊

I stayed at the Ascot next to Saint Louis BTS for a week. It's also a few stops near the river with that big fancy Icon Siam mall. It was also nice to get a banana roti from the famous Roti Lady near the Silom BTS. When I arrived back home I found out that the famous Robot building was just next door,....
Hi Im from Bangkok originally, and have been worked also travel back there and stay at Silom and Sathorn quite often. I have watched your video till the end. Love the whole things, your views , pics, explanation are fantastic.!!
Paddy Doyle, once bright on the screen, Chasing adventures, living the dream. Now the fame's faded, his light grown dim, But the memories linger, of journeys with him.
I love that Brioche! I stayed at the hotel directly across from it a couple of years ago and I ended up up at Brioche many times, even my Thai girlfriend who doesn’t do much sweet stuff enjoyed it.
I am definitely loving this series Patty. I have visited this area often as my son used to work there but it was so fun to see it again but thru your eyes. ..and a big treat to go places way beyond my budget ( the standard etc.) and others I have been to often (shenanigans etc.). Looking forward to where you take us next! Cheers
Well, that is the type of noise I love: trains passing by. I need to go to that rooftop bar or any similar places in Bangkok. I don't know how in Bangkok, but here in the island of Java, Indonesia, it can be raining all night long. It can be cloudy the whole day, for a few days, or a week, with only a very limited sun rays. Yes, Paddy. We love this 24-hours series.
Great video like usual. I love walking around lumphini and the then the ‘so called’ Green mile to Benjakitti and walking round that. Such a wonderful city
First video of yours I've seen and just, wow! You've really captured how exhilarating a city Bangkok is in this video, amazing work! You've increased the excitement about my long overdue return to Thailand by a great margin. Looking forward to gorging on your content. Cheers
When we were there in Feb we passed through Pat Pong market. And yes the doors were open and let me tell you. A game of Ping pong will never seem the same to me again.
@@rickmuc089 Have you ever been in both cities? Maybe Singapore is more developed and clean. But Bangkok has so much more to offer in terms of culture, food and nightlife. After spending 1-2 weeks in Singapore you can explore everything. In Bangkok you can live for years and explore everyday something new. This city is one of the most visited in the world for a good reason.
The hotel room has a very "Jetsons" vibe. I half-expected Rosie the Robot to pop out to clean the floors and for you to step outside to walk Astro haha
You convinced me to move to Thon buri. I'm moving there this next year. I've done my research and got even more excited. Thank you for turning me onto it.
On my next trip to Bangkok I want to explore the neighborhoods I haven't been to. I'm fine with the water monitor lizards. It's the pythons and vipers that scare me to death. I was in Bangkok during the first rain of this year. There was a light drizzle continuing at lunch time. Humid, but the temperature was very pleasant. The rain will pass, except for my last night in Singapore when it rained for 3 hours.
24 hours near the airport.. for people that are stuck on layovers or flights get cancelled.. what are the best bars, views, temples and foods just outside of the airport accessible quickly... Practical solution, sometimes people even have 6-`10 hours in morning or night etc
It’s great you do these videos on expensive posh stuff aswell as there are plenty of people who love roughing it and living it up too like me for example! Some many channels focus on cheap and budget and they could offer so much more. That $470 NZD so yes it’s expensive!
We stayed in "I-Residence Hotel Silom" & from our room's big glass window, we saw the Mahanakhon Tower and the room was bigger than this (enough for a couple) & was affordable with included breakfast & the hotel had rooftop swimming pool as well & a 7/11 at the basement. Thanks!
Love the W. They had my scotch! You were much more relaxed on the skywalk compared to your reaction when you went there with Gary. All that travel and adventure has taken the edge off that fear of heights eh? Beautiful place Paddy. I think the nicest place I have stayed in BK is the Erawan Grand Hyatt. Also worth a visit sometime! And you are right that hallway has a very "Here's Johnny" ala Stephen King vibe. But the room was really nice and views fantastic. Always a pleasure to see Miss P. Catch up with you all soon!
Fab video 👌. We loved this area Paddy. So much to see and do. Please keep up the 24 hour series 🙏. Would love to see you do one in Old Town to show that the misconception that it's all about Khaosan is so wrong. It is also a place to hit on ground level and walk the arse off it ❤
I was in Bangkok for the month of April, earlier this year. I normally stay in Ao Nang, Krabi, but I was visiting friends. I found Bangkok to be very expensive compared to Ao Nang
Great VDO Paddy! I live in Bangkok and away for work currently but back soon. Enjoying seeing other parts of the city where like yourself travel through many times but never ventured! Will be definitely take my wife to this hotel and the W and the roof! You mentioned that temples in Thailand are magical and yes they are, so enjoy visiting them. Here is one special one for you that you may or may not have visited. It’s on the way to Hua Hin but highly recommend Tham Khao Luang Cave Temple. Look forward to your next installment. Cheers 🍻
There are plenty of nice hotels in Silom area that run around 1500-2300 baht. Not 5 star but one can spend their money on nice restaurants in Silom and the nightlife. Easy to hop on the Skytrain and get to Thaksin pier or go to Siam for shopping.

@PaadyDoyle Did you took the drone shots of the Mahanakhon? From where did you took off the drone? Im going to bangkok and want to take some drone shots of the tower
Hi Paddy I love this video. Just a note if you go to Lumphini Park early in the morning you can see lots of Thai Chinese doing Tai Chi (I have done this with my Children a few times and they liked it). Also Lumphini Park Stadium has amazing Thai Boxing (I did this over 20 years ago before Children). Really love this video's approach). Best Regards Ivan
That price tag is unjustified imo. I stayed there once in the "smaller penthouse" and my eyes watered at my final bill. The Sofitel still remains my favourite hotel in BKK. The Opera Suite, sound proof Bose Sub Woofer system, coffee machine- best place to party.
