  • A high potassium diet can prevent high blood pressure and many other age-related conditions. Yet most people get only half the 4,700 mg they need each day. And what's crazy is that less than 1% of us reach the levels needed to avoid disease and extend life. In this video I head down to the kitchen to show you how to get a whopping 5,300 mg of potassium in one day! Even better, it's only 2,300 calories and I do it all for under $20!

Some feedback. Watch video a week back and adopted my diet a bit. Already good but i still had BP at 144/92 mean over a month with medication.
After adding potassium rich things the level last week went to 122/79. Good. Today the mean value is some 113/74. Decided to pause medication. So far so good.

Thanks for another helpful video. Your frittata looks good. A high potassium food is plantain. Almost 900 mg. I think people don't know how to cook them. They need to be very soft & almost black before they are ready to be cooked. Then you can slice & fry them, or just bake with a little oil & cinnamon until brown.

Plantains can be eaten in different ways for different needs. Unripe (green) plantains are recommended for increasing your protein intake and lowering blood sugars. They can be boiled , grilled or blended into a paste and cooked after removing the skin. The Ripe plantains (yellow) can be boiled , fried, grilled, baked or made into a pottage. You don’t have to wait till they are soft or almost black before eating them .

Don't wait for the doctor to answer you, my friend! Either cut out the potassium for a few days and see how your body reacts, or see a doctor - especially if the palpitations aren't abating. You don't want to mess with your heart. 👍

Definitely talk to your doctor about your individual health concerns. It's unlikely that getting a total of 4,700 mg daily from food and/or supplements is harmful to your health, but it's hard to make recommendations on an individual level. Hope you check out okay!
