    Vader hated them because they wouldn't obey him, they wouldn't obey him because they were loyal to the emperor, because they were loyal to the emperor they wouldn't obey Vader so Vader hated them because they wouldn't obey him because they were loyal to the emperor, their loyalty to the emperor is why they wouldn't obey Vader and he hated them for it etc. You truly have a gift for talking in circles without saying much.

    Damn.. And killing a guard would mean that he directly challanged Palpatine with death being the only outcome for either one of them. I can understand that Vader took his time all up until empire when he openly stated his plans for dominion to another person for the first time in the act of trying to recruit Luke.

      @@DaveXYZ369 Incorrect. An emperor is no less royalty than a king, there's nothing inherently false about the title of emperor that is true for the title king, they're essentially the same thing. Maybe you meant Emperor Palpatine, specifically, was false royalty, but that's also not true. An emperor is royalty, even if he walking into the throne room of the previous ruler and cut his head off in front of all of the generals of that time, as long as he then started an empire and is the ruler of said empire, he's a royal. The history of the world is filled with bloodlines taking, trading, or losing power amongst themselves and those that would usurp them, how many generations ago does a bloodline need to have sat on the throne before it is no longer false? All great houses gained their power by taking it from others.

      Although, I think having your old 'Master' slice of your remaining limbs just to leave you alive to helplessly (I don't understand why he didnt use the force, cant he use it without hands, or just crawl his bitch ass up with that metal claw for a hand... if he can do it after being burned alive, he can do it prior to the 'Anakin barbecue') slide into a lava river to catch fire causing all your skin and dick to be burned off, like its the forgotten hotdog at the very back of the grill that was never flipped... That kind of tops the anger and pain Padme instills in Vader, atleast in my book... People wonder why he's so angry, he's short a dick... He can't even rub one out using the force through his suit, thats brutal. Its all her fault too, she just had to be selfish and go die right after he sacrificed every thing in his life, including his friends, sanity, limbs, and dick (and a few younglings) all for her and the baby, but noooooo, thats not enough for Padme Amadola, no sir.... She's so inconsiderate. Bitches, am I right??

    I wonder if it would have been possible for Vader to use that hatred of the Royal Guard to grow his connection with the Dark-Side? Even when in his tank, to see them there could have been a chance to use it as a focal point while meditating, effectively getting him closer to his goal, without providing them with anything to report to Palpatine! Just a thought! :)

    I wish Vader had been brave enough to figure out a way to upgrade his suit and cybernetics that would have made him more resistant to force lightning without Palpatine’s help and without the risk of dying. He sorely needed the upgrade. Without it he was doomed to be under Palpatine’s thumb forever. Vader was a shadow of his former self. Yet he was still very powerful. He was powerful enough to survive everything Palpatine threw at him and survive yet not powerful enough to overthrow and replace his master. What a frustrating place to be. A more powerful apprentice would have bold enough to keep on killing the guards and dared Palpatine to do something about it.

      Vader didn't upgrade his cybernetics nor his suit because he was afraid that it would rob him of the pain and suffering he needed to maintain his connection to the dark side. His cybernetics were outdated and his suit was uncomfortable to wear which frustrated him to no end, but provided an endless wellspring of pain for him to draw on and fuel his connection to the dark side of the Force, as a Sith Lord, he couldn't afford to lose that.

      Vader could kill the guards, he did often. A lot of times Palpatine would have Vader fight the strongest royal guard just as an example for the others. But they would be able to put up a fight, giving Palpatine time to stop his apprentice. They pretty much were a chaperone between Vader and the emperor in case Vader ever decided to "try something,” and of course they could easily protect Palpatine against anyone else.

Because they weren't loyal to Lord Vader, they Only loyal to the Emperor And they were always around, So Vader could never get any time for himself, because he was always surrounded by the guards who weren't really protecting him because they weren't loyal to him, because they were only loyal to the Emperor.

Vader's complete obidience was actually one of the things Palpatine disliked about him. To him Vader had no vision or personality , he was mearly a tool. So if Vader showed character for once , Palpatine would probably like "Oh i did not think it was bothering you my friend, *brief sith lesson*, have it your way Vader", something like that. It would not be the first time lol. I mean for a mear tool, Palpatine was sure going way out of his hand to cator to Vader when he needed it, because he needs him. Palpatine used the guards to protect himself against Vader for the same reason he gave him a subpar suit: to make it more difficult for his apprentice to defeat him. The Rule of two says it best: "...one to embody the power, the other to crave it." And if the master must teach, it is not his responsability to give his power away. It is the apprentice's job to seize it when the time comes. Vader would know that.

    The amount of training, and patrioticism embedded in the royal guard is crazy. They're skill level is like that of a jedi knight though without the force they're obviously still not a match to a Jedi. They also are almost brainwashed into going to ant means to protect Palpatine and to lose value for their own lives. Surprisingly, even Palpatine respects his guards for what they've gone through Judy to serve him. Literally around 40 of the best Impetial will try out for the Guard in each group and only 2 will actually move on while the rest die throughout the training period.

    This video doesn't feel accurate. Vader is seen without the Royal Guard, constantly. They are rarely seen in the movies, he's gone to planets by himself etc. Not only that but in a previous video you stated that Vader didn't kill Palpatine because he "needed him".

      @@postsniper-7532 vader was the Supreme commander of the military 2nd only to Palpatine. Tarkin had favor with the emperor but was not 2nd in line. Palpatine was a sith 1st and foremost. • @Corristo89

    A great irony that the man who despised being ordered around by others could not tolerate those who wouldn't be ordered around by him. For the very same reasons. Vader was only second to Palpatine, meaning that no Moff, Admiral, General or whoever held power over him. The Royal Guards were themselves bound directly to Palpatine and no one held power over them except their master, similar to the Adeptus Custodes in Warhammer 40K, which directly server the God Emperor of Mankind and can't be commanded by any Chapter Master, Primarch, Inquisitor or Highlord.

    • @JohnGeorgeBauerBuis
      @JohnGeorgeBauerBuis 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A difference is that Vader could order them around to a degree, like other Stormtroopers, but they were much more loyal to the Emperor than the average Stormtrooper and much more likely to disobey an order if they believed Vader was trying to get rid of them or otherwise act disloyally.

    This is why the Empire fell, he refused to except the fact. That as he grew older, he was going to become a liability to the Empire. If you look at most Dark Side users who were human. Needed to be taken out at roughly 57 for things to continue forward. In a healthy way so that younger stronger Sith would continue forward. Palpatine got too power hungry and it killed the Sith and Empire.
