Well, that IS what he taught Vader to do. A teacher can't fault a student for following orders.
"Just as I once fell so falls the last Skywalker."
-Darth Sidious
I want to hear how Luke freed himself from the Dark Side in Dark Empire
Leia helps him defeat the emperor and turn back.
@@brycekayski9284 Leia = Sith.
Yeah it was like he was hooked on fentanyl and said never mind
@user-cl5vx9em4e
I wonder if Dr. Mario gave him the Fentanyl.
Sidious didn't realise until the very end how much Vader was keeping from him, that Anakin still existed within him. If he had known he would have tortured Vader in order to remove Anakin. While he believed a strong apprentice struggled against his master, hoping one day to defeat his master; Sidious always believed that Vader didn't have that in him any more, which is why the label of 'minor' miracle.
What it boils down to is that over the 22 years of their relationship, Vader and Sidious never really understood each other fully. Yet in the end, it was Sidious' mistake, not Vader. At the moment of his betrayal of his master, Vader proved that he was a true Sith, even as his actions redeemed him as a Jedi.
This was the balance that is so often spoken of; the Sith and the Jedi were reconciled in one of the Force's most powerful creations. This is how Master Skywalker came to be!
thats the thing. i don't think any amount of torture would truely wipe anakin away. palpatine could try, and try, and try... and vader can be made to believe anakin is dead and buried....
but anakin can *never* fade away. he's always there, even if he's forced to sleep.
@@supersmashbro596 well said.
@@supersmashbro596 facts and I don’t think the force would let anakin die before fulfilling the chosen one prophecy, he could lose all of his limbs his own flesh, all his loved ones and friends, yet the force kept him alive for one single goal, to bring balance to the force…it just so happens that Anakin/vader had to go his own path to bring that balance. If u can’t beat em join em, then betray n kill em. Even if he had to become a sith, it was necessary because of the Sith rule of two, he finally realized at the end that killing himself n palpatine would not only save his son and his daughter and everyone in the galaxy, but he destroyed the last 2 of the Sith as well as being restored in the light
Sidious was a fool, thinking Vader was a living corpse and abused him. Just wait until this sleeping lion fights back.
He did this just prior to ROTJ. He literally choked and tore Vader apart because Vader went on a secret mission to find out about Padme.
Dark Empire is one of my all time favorite stories from Legends.
Mine too, I hope it gets covered.
I cant believe that wasn't the sequel trilogy
@@dominickgaramella6431 The Rise of Skywalker was an extremely cheap knock off of the Dark Empire.
“Why Palpatine HATED getting up in the morning.”
A tour of the Dark Empire would be extraordinary. Please do.
One of the biggest boons Palpatine enjoyed that almost all Sith before him didn't get, is that Palpatine could take advantage of hindsight. He had the luxury of not only seeing the failures of past Sith, but his own. And unlike many Sith, he was self aware enough that he could admit when he had made a mistake, so he could later correct it. While I still say Vitiate was the Strogest Dark Side user, even over Palpatine/Sidious, Sidious was the better Sith.
Would you say that maybe he was the smartest Sith?
@@domdellanooch That's hard to say, as different Sith were "smarter" but in different ways.
It is the sith way .
💯
Not in this case. Anakin killed Sidious to defend his son, not to take his place as a Sith Master.
It is the sith way
@@kjhuang the reason doesn't matter. Sith's have different motives to do certain things. Betrayal is betrayal.
@@lorenzor7993 Seriously? Anakin gave his own life to protect the one he loved and that's supposed to be "the Sith way" because it happened to be a betrayal? That's like the least Sith thing he could've done.
With ZEAL!! He is sick and I absolutely love it.
Is Palpatine the most evil villain in cinematic history? I mean he has ZERO redeeming qualities. Just a fantastic character
gotta admit. as monsterous palpatine is. he doesn't hold a grudge.
He did a little bit though. At various points in the Dark Empire Trilogy he mocks Vader and orders statues of him to be torn down.
@@kjhuang Makes sense as to why I saw torn down Vader statues on Vjun in the Jedi Academy game. I thought the Disciples of Ragnos did that, but it was Palpatine who did that.
Yes! Yea! We want a dark empire 1 & 2 video
Betraying your master was a way of the Sith! Papa Palps fell down that chasm thinking "THATS MAH BOI"
Antitrust suits? That's no moon. It's a space station!"
"Why palpatine chose NOT to wear boxer shorts under his robes"
Do a video on all force abilities from legends and cannon and thee different variations of abilities such as force slow has a different variation called force plague. When going over force lightning specifically can you go over different colors, what they mean and do and the different things you can do with it such as lightning grenade, force storm, and force shield.
Great video btw keep up the good work.
Makes sense
I would definitely enjoy a Dark Empire video
Yes, please do that video. I love them all.
Yes, loving this extended universe concert. Hopefully we get this in live action with a faithful adaptation.
I think I'd love a dark empire breakdown
We need a part 2 to this topic 🙏
You make this video every year
I would love to hear about they time in legends when Luke was the apprentice of sidious. Please make that happen
Please do a video covering the Dark Empire in detail.
Sidious, Yoda and Obi-Wan all believed that Vader would never return to the light, but young Luke proved them all wrong. I think this is the moment Luke surpassed them all, not by sheer power, but by his heart, his desire to see through the half-machine that Vader looked like and find one deeply suffering man. And eventually that proved to be stronger than the Emperor's arrogance and Yoda's and Obi-Wan's disbelief of the light that was still present deep down in Vader. And that's the difference that makes Luke the best of the Jedi.
That's why The Last Jedi was so jarring
Yeah, definitely gonna need that dark empire breakdown! 🤘🏻
I love the saying, a new "Vader"
Palpatine: "Eh, I deserved it. HEHEHEH!"
yeah, make a video of luke as sidious aprentice
Integral to the rule of 2, is the fact that the apprentice always attempts to Usurp the Master. It's expected.
I'd love to hear more about dark side Luke.. and as for Sidious.. feels like he took responsibility while simultaneously saying "but it doesn't matter, so its not a blemish on my record" thus not having any fault fall upon him. Kind of like saying "That's old news".
I'd definitely be up for that dark empire video
Hey Stupdenous Wave, if you’re actually paying attention to comments, do you think you can do a video on the Star Wars fighting style known as “Teras Kasi”? In regards to its origins and effectiveness?
Please get full breakdown on the dark Empire series with Luke
I would love to see a breakdown of Palpatine coming back in legends! I just NEED a break from Disney canon.
I would have been surprised if he had been mad at Darth Vader as killing your master to take their place as the Sith master and get your own apprentice is exactly what Darth Vader was supposed to do under the Rule of Two. It is what Sidious himself did so it would have been hypocritical to the extreme to get mad about something you did yourself and what was expected of them.
Great & professional job as always 💪🏿 Yes please continue!
Yes, explore more 👍👍
Do that continuation video
Sidious didn’t think ANY Sith would return from the dark side? I find that hard to believe when theres a few cases throughout history and palp’s loved history he would have known it has happened
I NEED an update on this part
Yes, I would like you to make a full breakdown of what happens, when Luke joins Sidious in The Dark Empire Series.
You know, I bet sid had respected vader a lot more for the betrayal deep down.
After all sid had grown weak himself. Complacency was his downfall.
And in his death vader proved himself a true sith, something sid had believed vader no longer could achieve. Even in redeeming himself and turning back too the light.
What book is this from is very much like to read it
Bravo 👏🏽
Siddious being self-aware enough to see where things when wrong I can believe, but I'll never be convinced that he is willing to take or admit responsibility for it.That doesn't appear to be the Sith way.
Please do the Dark Empire story line!
I think it was later retconned that the emperor was lying about having died before Rotj. That was indeed his first canon (or legends) death. They did this to reconcile the chosen one prophecy after the prequels came out. Why sidious would lie about that is anyone’s guess but it’s just one of those continuity issues that lucasarts tried to reconcile after the prequels.
Please do Dark Empire
I'd deffo like a Dark Empire holocron, please!
Impressive.
Intresting
Palatines underestimated Padme’s physics bending booty
My mentor is like a Jedi.
I would love to know what happened next
I would love to hear more on Luke joining Sidious in the Dark Empire Series also Stupendous I tried to get to the link you send me after I ask about the Status on the Ulic Qel-Droma Bio and Power scaling vid, but everytime I try to do anything with it I get no where. Any chance we could exchange emails to communicate in that regard? Keep being awesome Your friend and Patron Samson
If you scale ulic to the dark ripper which he destroyed by himself before his prime he is probably more powerful than count dooku as the ripper was so powerful that yoda and mace said it could destroyed republic also ulic qel droma spirit taught anakin how to harness its powerful which made anakin even more powerful than he was before that was 2 months after attack of the clones
Exploring Luke's journey thru the dark side would be sick as hell
How about a video on the similarities and differences of Revan, Darth Bane (who was heavily inspired by Revan) and Darth Vader (who has at least 1 thing in common with Revan, maybe 2) all in 1 video?
Of course I wanna hear the rest of the story. You left me hanging bro?
Do Dark Empire!!!! Do it!
I,d like to know what happened to luke, thanks 4 doing this Stupendous, very interesting vid.
“As his lightning spewed everywhere “
Hehe
Interestingly, while GL approved of the Dark Empire trilogy, he also commented that Sidious’ first death was on Death Star II and he was lying to Leia (in DE) about having died before his death at the Battle of Endor. 🤔
Sounds to me like instead of him letting his faults define him, he was taking charge of his failures.
Please do a video about Luke turning to the dark side and coming back!!
Yes please
I placed an order for a holochrome about Luke joining the Dark Side.
How did his essence travel faster than light
Ghost powers 😅 👻👻
Although Darth Vader is often compared to Darth Malgus both in and out of universe, a greater comparison would be Darth Vader and Lord Scourge. Both took orders almost entireley form the emperor and both would ultimately seek to betray their master to the Jedi when they learned of theit masters ultimate goal. Likewise, both ultimately failed as their repsective Emperors would later reserect through the use of essense transfer.
It has been some time since I read the dark empire series.
Even IF Sideous had been angry even momentarily. There's not much he could done about it since he was too busy being dead at the time an all. He WASN'T wrong he shouldn't gotten carried away so much he didn't watch his back an he knew it. Especially FIRST HAND watching Anakin do same thing to Mace some 20 odd years ago.
Wonder if in an event Sideous was forever confined as some kinda evil Sci-fi spirit if he's been content to haunt the Skywalkers an needed some sorta Force Excercism
Palp wrote three books like the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Explore the dark empire plz
Darth Vader was Frankensteines monster 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

“The Sith always betray one another.” -Shaak Ti
@5:46 to me that was the beginning of his end. The fact that Vader sensed Luke on Endor and Sidious did NOT should have caused him more concern than it did.
i imagine Palpy at a Borders or Barnes and Noble with stacks of his books ands no one buying.
i would love to see how luke challenged him in dark empire
As usual the one thing I wanna know is if sidious has succeeded in making luke his apprentice would he teach him all he knew and then let Luke kill him, or cripple him in some way like vader was. After all Luke has the same force potential as his father
When Anakin/Vader loves someone he kills everything that might harm or might have harmed that person, including but not limited children, his Jedi masters, his Sith Lord
bEcAuSe iT wAs HiS pLaN aLL aLoNg-
Yes, make a vid abt luke under palp apprent.
What I genuinely don’t understand is that if essence transfer was possible then why wasn’t anakin cloned and transferred???
I thought it was him being proud that Vader had surpassed him and would continue the legacy. He knew someone may surpass him one day as was the way of the sith
Cool
nnah, i never thought of palpatine as a self reflective person. but wow. why couldnt we get this palpatine
The last question has only one answer. Do it
I would imagine after ray killed palpatine she would be surrounded with darkside users from all over the galaxy mingling on all sides
I wanna know what happens in the side story!!!!
Because they are Sith and that is what they are supposed to do, as soon as Vader thought he was more powerful it was his duty to overthrow Sidious. That is literally the entire Philosophy of the Sith.
Yep I want to know more about dark side double agent Luke skywalker
I want to hear about Luke’s trip to the dark side
Ever get those feelings of " something just isn't right " or that no matter how much you do there seems to be an emptiness, perhaps a part of you is missing.
It's the Force calling to us, it's real! It isn't a story. The secret to everything is that it's all real. If Yoda isn't real then why is he there. If Superman doesn't exist then how is it that we know who he is. Unlearn what you've learned and open your mind to believing. The greatest feeling in the universe is understanding that no matter how hard you try, work, learn, earn, or stuff one accumulates; Because in the end nothing matters, so in retrospect everything we do is for nothing. Which means we're all currently on a path that clouds our feelings and thoughts and cuts us off from the Force. Search inside and you'll understand that everything we're being taught is all just one massive lie to keep us under control.
My question is: why didn't Vader use the Force to snap Palpatine's neck or throw him down the shaft or stab him with a lightsaber? Anything but physically picking him up.
