I LOVE the Wet and Wild tinted hydrator. I wear it over mineral sunscreen, which acts as a primer. I'm 60, with dry-ish smooth skin. I'm a teacher, and the coverage lasts from 7:30am to 4:00pm with minimal fading.

Drugstore makeup was so terrible in the 90s…these days it’s so competitive it’s like a different world. I’m in love with so many affordable items from brands I never thought I’d like, including that Wet n Wild. With all these big companies buying out all these luxury brands the line between luxury and drugstore is blurring. Exciting times.

Amen to that Andrea ! Although I must say the brands like Wet and Wild, etc still make me cautious because of the quality back in the day. I need to go for broke and give em a whirl.. my nervousness of how sensitive my skin has become from 17 to 52 has me a little wonky. Especially since I just got over a horrible eye infection I got from a new mascara in my Allure beauty box🤦🏽‍♀️ omg girl the pain was ridiculous and it was supposed to be a "clean brand" (Blinc.. buyer beware!)

I know, I wore cover girl on middle
School because that’s what everyone else was wearing and I could afford it on my allowance. It was so terrible for your skin back then, but cover girl seems like it’s stepped up their game since the early 90s.

I completely agree with you. I would be devastated if they discontinue the tinted hydrator by wet and wild but I am falling in love with the L'Oreal tinted serum as well. They both on my two top tinted moisturizer and serums but I do wear because it gives me a sheer coverage, which I love and more of a natural look. I absolutely love the L'oreal serum foundation. I've been using it for weeks now. I use my fingers to apply, I find that works best. I have super super oily skin, but it works for me. I agree about the bottle and dropper, I bet they change it soon, because everyone I know loves the foundation but hates the bottle.

Came out even better and more melted in my skin. So overall I like it. It's a go-to. If you're in a quick hurry or like me, I love a share coverage because my skin really isn't that bad. I had given up on finding a drugstore tinted moisturizer/shear coverage foundation that didn't age me by 10 years 😂 i absolutely love the Wet & Wild Tinted Hydrator. It doesn't make my wrinkles look worse and i get around 12 hours of wear. I will get a bit of shine in my T zone around 3 but i use blotting paper and that is all i need. I really like it. Now, i'm currently writing this in February and i live in humid Houston so i have no idea how much i will like it during our summers, i might try and find a powder foundation for summer but for now it's been great!

  • @melaniemeeyah5755

I love the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator. I'm 42, I live in a climate with hot/humid summers and cold/dry winters. I started using it in July, and on my dry/normal skin it wore like a dream! Now that dryer and cooler fall air is here, it is still wearing well. I like the light coverage, I just spot conceal as needed. The $5 price tag makes it a no brainer.
When I want more coverage, I typically reach for the Pacifica alight foundation. It is medium/full coverage. Makes my skin look amazing. It has been on clearance on their website...don't know if they are discontinuing it so I bought 2 backups just in case! I have super fair skin and it is one of the only full-ish coverage foundations that is a good shade/undertone match for me.

I've got dry skin but I don't want a glowy foundation. Why .... because I also have pores 😂😂. Seriously though, give me luminous, semi matte or soft matte and I'm happy. Gone are the days when the glowy stuff looked good.
I ordered the Catrice foundation online yesterday, so I'll have to see what I think of it. Fingers crossed it's as good as everyone says. I hate ordering foundation online, trying to find the correct shade is hit or miss (which is why I usually buy two bottles). I wish they could make the images true to colour.

I wear your summer shades (ELDW Rattan and MAC NC30) and for the Catrice True Skin, I chose "Neutral Macchiato" and it's perfect. Perhaps it is because I have more of a cool (olive) base than the warmth/golden undertones that peek through your skin? In any case, I'm thrilled you tried it and liked it. I was one of the people who suggested you would find it flattering.

I was at CVS today, getting my Covid booster shot, and while I waited the 15 minutes one has to stay nearby after the vaccine to make sure there isn't a reaction, I couldn't resist but picking up some new makeup to try...I am currently wearing the L’Oreal True Nude Serum in Shade 3-4. It looks really pretty. It evened out my skin without masking it or making it flat. It's only been 7 hours since I applied, but right now it looks like a contender for "casual" days, especially in winter, when I prefer something a bit more hydrating. I also picked up the Essence Volume Stylist 18h Lash Extension mascara and I'm impressed. Two for two, woohoo! (EDITED to add: I hate the dropper in the L'Oreal foundation. I think I will transfer it to a squeeze applicator.)

You would love it I think :D natural light to medium finish and lasts so long and looks so beautiful. Try!!! XO

That loreal water tint thing is attrocious! lol 😂
I did end up using it to mix with the missha bb cream which has a spf of about 42 I think. I had shade 21 of the missha and it was too light and kind of greyish...and thick....so neither was any good.
On a whim i mixed them together and now I have a really nice consistancy and long wearing med coverage skin something......it worked anyway.
If it wasnt for that happy occurance of chance....the loreal would have ended up in the bin!

I love the Loreal True Match Nude in 3-4. For years my go to has been Lancome Renergie, not anymore. I do think the dropper is too messy.

Have you tried the LYS triple serum foundation from Sephora yet? I just received my first bottle and applied it once, so far, so good. It's medium coverage. Even though it's sold at Sephora, it only costs $22. I'm not sure how to classify it.

I just bought the L’Oreal serum foundation and think the colors run dark. I’m usually a light neutral and had to mix the ‘light 2-3’ with the ‘very light’ for my best color match.

I would love to see how the serum foundation compares to Bobbi Brown serum foundation - save a lot of money. Are any of these similar to Urban Decay Naked Skin original?

The L’Oréal tinted serum is my new favorite complexion product. And I have oily skin. I won’t use anything else on my skin anymore. Haha the wet n wild tinted hydrator I actually did NOT like. It felt extremely heavy on my skin. It made me so oily. And all the colors in my range were orange on my skin. Such a disappointment for me!

Your skin doesn't look mid 40s! Congrats! I'm late 50s, but lost almost 200lbs from late 40s to early 50s! My face collapsed (doctor's words). My dentist, unprompted said I look like I ran into a brick wall! He's my former dentist! When I went back to have my procedure finished after his comment, I had on the Raquel Welch wig Editor's Pick. It's a pretty, shoulder length beachy wave type style. He commented on how bad my hair looked! He's in his 70s and gruff, but how dare he! I live in Arkansas, his wife owns a salon in LA that she travels back and forth to. I assume she's not a fan of beachy waves because his reason for "hating" my hair was "you need to decide if you want it curly or straight!" I don't know who named an 70+ year old dentist in Fort Smith, Arkansas the women's hair style guru title to him, but...they forgot to impart on him an ounce of couth!

Fantastic video! I appreciate your drugstore videos. I have the wet and wild tinted hydrator and although I do like it, I must be too oily for it because it looks to dewey and I have oil breakthrough quickly. I'm thinking of trying the Catrice, is it more matte? Otherwise do you have another inexpensive recommendation?

I’ve been wanting to try the L’Oréal true nude serum foundation forever and this convinced me.
Move been using the Dior air flash for about a year which I LOVE. But the only reason I bought an over 90 dollar foundation was that I had a macy’s gift card. I have to admit, it’s one of the best, most easy and convenient, perfect skin match products I’ve ever used. Plus it can be easily built from medium to high coverage… God I love it. But it’s almost gone and I can’t afford to get it again. Looking for something to replace it when it’s gone.

I think the Wet and Wild was 100% most flattering on your skin in the daylight. The first 2 seems slightly blotchy and the 3rd gave your upper lip zero color and didn't have the same glow as the rest of your face.. weird. Reminded me of an Este Lauder brand🤔

Hi Stephanie, I am 64 w very dry skin, redness which continues to increase, seemingly daily, some fairly large dark spots on both sides below my cheeks(the areas that I use a contour). I’m in NC which gets hot and humid, but nothing like N.O. but I sweat a lot and comfortable temperature outside if I’m doing any kind of yard work or walking is 65-70. We keep our house temp year round at 67-68 so I don’t sweat and get so red in the face (the redness in my face is so prominent and lasts for hours). I’m also fair skinned and usually require the lightest shades, so I listen carefully to your descriptions for who would probably do best w a certain concealer and/or foundation. I wonder if you would have suggestions for a CC cream or tint for daily use (I’m retired and mostly wear a complete makeup look only 1-2 days/week. I have tried IT CC cream and hated it bc I think it totally STINKS and feels too heavy, but maybe I’ve used too much trying to make it cover ALL REDNESS AND AGESPOTS. I NEVER HAD ACNE BUT I AM CURSED W THIS UNEVEN SKIN TONE/PIGMENTATION IN MY SENIOR YEARS!
I love your videos bc you provide so much good information in each one-thank you for all your work and knowledge!
Lastly, where is your daughter? I haven’t seen her in videos for a while now. Last time I saw her I think maybe she was about 12. She is a beautiful girl and seems to be a sweetheart!
Thanks again for all you do!

I've never had success with a Maybelline foundation. I may try it with a coupon & on a sale, as I do like radiance and my skin is dry. Though my weather here is hot and humid May - October. I want to try the Loreal True Nude Lumi, because I love the other Lumi products, but I don't feel like it will match my fair skin.
