It’s impressive how well you match your foundation not just to the color of your neck and décolletage but to the texture and glow as well. It takes knowledge, awareness, and attention to detail that is seen mostly only in makeup done by working MUAs. It’s a delight every time I see one of your videos.
I grabbed the Dior foundation during the Sephora Sale due to your recommendations and it’s stunning. I love that it’s so light weight, skin like, and long wear. Can’t recommend enough
I can't remember if you've tried the Physician's Formula Butter Believe It two in one but I LOVE IT. It has amazing coverage and staying power and every time I wear it people always tell me how amazing my skin looks. Many of those are shocked when I tell them I'm wearing foundation! You're need to use a light hand and buff it out a bit with a foundation brush but if you applying right, it looks like a million bucks. Thanks for another great video! So pleased to see that we agree on all of the drugstore options you highlighted. They're all winners and so affordable!
Girl don’t ever shut up about the Dior foundation. It’s amazing!! I got it because of you going on about it and you were sooo right. I had it on about 17 hours the other night because I worked a very long shift and when I got home I swear it looked the same as when I applied it. I have normal skin so I didn’t get any shine at all and I don’t really notice the fragrance. The Lancôme foundation is amazing as well and I reach for it quite often. I agree the L’Oréal looks similar but every time I’ve worn it I could feel it on my skin. I’ve tried it so many different ways with different primers or no primer and I could always feel it no matter what and it drove me crazy.
I love that Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream! I have normal to dry skin and it looks great all day. It barely feels like I’m wearing anything on the skin when I wear it. Great recommendation.
I just wanted to post that I know you talk about the Dior backstage foundation all the time but I finally bought because of all of your recent videos mentioning it. It is the absolute best foundation I have ever tried I love it so much!! Thank you for continuing to talk about it because it finally pushed me to actual buy it!
Picked up the Dior yesterday (after getting the Armani Luminous Silk during the sale) at Sephora and I am already in love! Thank you so much for your recommendation.
I'm usually a silent viewer but you deserve many, many thanks for your foundation and concealer match lists. I am Mac nc25 and have referenced your very comprehensive lists frequently, thank you for making my life easier!!!
I feel like I’m one of the only people that did not like the Dior backstage foundation 😅 it would separate on me regardless of my skin prep so I had to give up on it. The Laura Mercier Lumière on the other hand is my holy grail. It looks amazing in person and in pictures as well, and it lasts all day on my combo skin.
Hi Rayane no you’re not the only one I don’t get on with the Dior Backstage either it looked dry and patchy when I put it on and I have combination skin so I couldn’t understand it, can’t understand the hype over it. However I love the L’Oreal Infallible Freshwear foundation for a cheaper option it looks lovely on, take care💜
I’m with you I can’t say enough good things about Dior backstage foundation ❤️ I mixed it with the Lancôme skin feels good today with tacha primer oh my word…. FLAWLESS
I went out and purchased the essence pretty natural foundation after watching this top 10 list.. finally, my search for the perfect light weight, medium coverage skin like drugstore brand foundation is over! Thank you!
The La Mer is amazing. And I did just try a big sample. My skin looked even better when I take it off after many hours. But it’s so expensive that I want to make sure that the skin care in it won’t harm my rosacea
I love L E. and have bought many of her products. The foundation is unrivaled as far the shade selection goes, really amazing, but sadly it transfers very very easily and did not last on my skin at all.
Hi Stephanie despite having severely dry skin with both rosacea and eczema, my HG foundation is the lancome teint idole. A little alcohol in foundations doesn't worry me, as it's on top of all the skincare, spf and primer and isn't actually sinking into the skin. I want my foundation to last all day and most moisturising/radiant foundations just don't do that. I also need it to wear under a mask and that means I need a longwear foundation. The other thing is the shade selection/match and shade 008/091 is perfection on my ultra pale cool toned skin. It gives me enough coverage to disguise some of the redness without looking heavy on the skin. I find applying with my fingers and then patting in with a damp sponge works best for me re application - this stops any issues of losing half of it into the sponge or disturbing any slightly flaky patches. I don't need to powder it the majority of the year and only do the t zone in the warmer months, but I could if I want to without it being a cakey mess. A lot of the foundations mentioned I would have liked to try don't go pale enough for me to get a skintone match and if I'm paying high end I don't want to have to mess with a white or blue mixer tbh. Best wishes.
I have been a big fan of the IT CC foundation! After years of buying & trying, when I found it it was amazing.Has 50 sunscreen and leaves my skin with a slight glow and all day wear.
LaMer is the best! And yes I agree, the names of the LaMer foundations are a little challenging to match against the color of my skin tone IMO. It's not a "Sephora" thing. I usually go to Saks or Neiman's to make sure I buy the right color. If you're going to splurge on product, why not get the whole experience, get professionally matched + cool extra useful tester products w/ your purchase?! Xo
Hi, I have the LaMer foundation. I am light medium with neutral undertones and i use color 220. It's the most perfect match for me. I feel this color description is accurate.
I finally ordered that Dior foundation! I’ve been scared of the alcohol LOL but you convinced me, and so many love it. I’m wondering if you would like the new L’Oreal serum foundation because that has alcohol high up in the ingredient list also. Angie hot and flashy loves it, as does Lisa J and Emily Noël, so now I’m curious about that one too.
Lancome teint idole foundation is beautiful and i like the l'oreal infallible, the Dior backstage face and body is so good and i love to mix it with my Nars soft matte just makes my skin look amazing
Hi! I'm not sure what you mean. Are you on desktop or mobile? On desktop, you hit "show more" under the paragraph right under the description. On mobile, you click the title and can see part of the description and hit "more" to see the rest. Everything is working fine. If those things aren't working, your system may need updating or try clearing your cache and cookies and browser history. :)
Thank you as always for the lovely video, one of many great ones that you put out there. I understand that not eveyone's skin suits all products but I wanted to make one comment about the Dior backstage since you seem to really really love it. I would recommend anyone to really try a sample of this before purchasing it. Luckily I did. I have combination skin with some surface dryness and I am 53. I do not think I have tried a worse foundation than the Dior backstage. I was actually shocked. It went on like a dry mask, it was the most unflattering flat matte look ( and I am not one who likes luminous foundations ). I gave it two tries before I threw the sample in the trash. Every time I work it I looked worse and older with it on that with no make up at all. I use the Mac face and body which is a really good foundation even though not ideal for anyone who wants serious coverage. So I fully respect your opinion on the Dior but based on my experience I recommend everyone to try and obtain a sample of any of the foundations before purchasing . It is very impressive how what you may love I may think its the worst and the other way around.
My foundation doesn't have to battle hot summer or humidity but I do have most of the foundations you have mentioned. This shows how versatile these are. I'm missing the La Mer, Dior and L'Oréal but all the rest work so well on my dry/mature skin. I really want to try the Dior - do you think it will be suitable for me? Awesome vid Stephanie, lots and lots of choices and information! WOW 👌 Love ya loads 💗💗💗💗💗
Just got the Dior F and B from the sale and tried it today. Very pleased with the natural coverage and longevity! I'm in N. Fla and it is a little less humid than summer but I can tell this will still work great then! Essence Pretty hydrating is another win for me too!
Love all your videos! I will be attending my daughter's wedding in Mexico in June, I am 50 years old and my skin type is like yours but with more texture, which foundation would you recommend for me for the wedding. Thank you for your time.
So I tried the Dior backstage bc it’s on stephs lists a lot and it’s my fav. I tend to prefer more coverage and you can achieve that w the Dior if you want.
Love your favorites lists Stephanie! I also love the Dior Backstage and the Chanel. Absolute perfection! I would add the Dior Air Flash and Givenchy Prism Libre Skin Caring Glow foundations as winners too! ❤️
Great info! I still love the original Este Lauder double wear but need a daily lighter option. So sad they discontinued the DWL recently 😕.Trying to find a daily dupe and tried Revlon Color Stay and that one seems okay.
The Estée Lauder hydrafurist I think it’s called is really good. It’s a bit lighter coverage but very nice. Doesn’t hold up as well on oily skin though. Personally I love double wear for daily use bc I’m in healthcare and it stays put with long shifts and mask wearing
Stephanie, My skin tone used to be described as medium, medium tan in the summer. With the newer/better expanded shade ranges, I now fit in the light medium to medium category. Perhaps that is why we have seen a change in the color descriptions on products.
Have combo-oily. Usually 40- 99% humidity. Could u put Bobbi Brown on top of other makeup 💄for touch ups. Love idea of powder finish, especially in summer. AND how do ALL the base 💄do under 😷MASKS?
I loved your recommendations, but I watched Gemma at pampered wolf first, she showed how every foundation looked on a video shot, would have liked to have seen yours on each foundation, please don't take this the wrong way, absolutely love you xx
I did show how each foundation looked. I’m not sure how you missed that unless you just skimmed through the video and didn’t fully watch it. Otherwise you would have seen the video clips. If you only halfway watched or just skimmed through, I’m not sure why you’d leave a comment because you’re going to miss things. FYI, I do numerous foundations videos and ALWAYS show how the foundations look on my skin. Just a side note - if you love a youtuber (me or anyone else), the worst thing you can do it skim through or skip around their videos and not watch them fully. TH-cam likes to see videos watched all the way through. If absolutely love someone, you should watch their videos or play them from start to finish as much as possible. 👍🏼
Love the Lancôme Tient Idole, but my normal to dry skin is loving the L’Oréal Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation right now. It has SPF 50, and I’ve been using it since it’s gotten cooler here. We’ve had to have the heat on, and going from hot to cold always aggravates my skin. This serum foundation is keeping it calm and happy.
Stephanie, if you order the Lisa Eldridge Seamless foundation, good matches for you would be "Number 11" or "Number 15", which are Light/Medium with Neutral Golden undertones. You and I are almost skin twins (I wear mostly your summer shades) but I feel you have more of a neutral-to-sunny-warm undertone whereas I'm a bit more neutral-to-green-olive in undertone. (My Lisa Eldridge shade is 16.) It is a fantastic foundation, by the way. Like Dior Backstage, it transforms depending on how you prepare the skin underneath, and it is undetectable. I truly cannot see the edges of my application. It sets and lasts at least 8 hours, even with a mask on. I haven't tried it against humidity, though, and it doesn't say anything about being water- or sweat-proof so that would be something Dior Backstage or Estee Lauder DW would edge this one out.
@@ajh3301 Yes, it would be my pleasure. My "most perfect" match in a brand I can find relatively easily is Estee Lauder Double Wear in 2W2 "Rattan". Also very close, MAC NC30, Make Up Forever Y365, and Bobbi Brown Stick in Beige 3. From the drugstore, I can wear Maybelline SuperStay Full Coverage in 128 Warm Nude just as it comes from the bottle, although I often thin it with a bit of primer or moisturizer to make it less full-cover for everyday use. The following are close, but sometimes a bit too golden, so I mix in a drop of "L.A. Girl Pro-Color Blue Pigment" to push that that warm-yellow into olive-green. L'Oreal True Match W4 Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless 128 Wet n Wild Photo Focus "Golden Beige" IT Cosmetics CC "Medium" Dior Backstage Face and Body 2.N Wet n Wild "Golden Beige" L'Oreal Infallible "Natural Beige" (Pro Matte 105, Pro Glow 205, or Total Cover 305) I hope these are helpful!
Can you please do a review on the Bobbi brown, including your skin prep. I have it and want to love it but I find it hard to use. I apply it the same way you apply Estée Lauder.
I bought the Bobbi Brown off of your recommendation and it is fantastic!! Have to mix two shades as well but it’s worth it cause it’s that good! La Mer….oh La Mer!! I think I have the wrong shade but it’s so pretty it really doesn’t matter lol. The new Lisa Eldridge foundation….that is a good one too!!
Have similar skin to yours, oily combination and dry under eyes in my middle 30s :) love your foundation videos🙏had Chanel but I couldn’t make it work on me by itself 😢the color was too light and it accentuated all my pores and just was like a piece of clay on me…the only way I could use it,was to mix it with my tinted moisturiser, which was dark for me 👍in that case the result was great! Tnx now I wanna try some new ones, especially Dior💋
I think that I'll be trying out the Bobbi Brown and Dior foundations. I love your recommendations. Have you tried anything from Jones Road? I bought one of their eyeshadows and really enjoying it xx
Thank you for recommending the Dior foundation, I bought it during the sale event, I am so happy I bought it, it’s exactly as you described, now it’s my favorite foundation. The next one on my list to try is the La Mer foundation. Love your video and I learned a lot .
Stephanie Marie, You are the bomb today! Gorgeous! I could not see a dif in your foundations! Questions: Have u ever tried Clinique Even Better Fountation and if so, what is your opinion? Also, I have never found a mascara and eyeliner (upper lid only) that doesn't end up in a circle under my eye. I have even used a lash curler and set w power (CT or other). Do you have a video on STAY PUT mascaras and eye liners (any formula)? Thanks!
I never really wore make up and now that I’m 53 I started wearing it. Since then my face is breaking out. Do you have a foundation that is good for acne?
I know someone who had Dior as their holy grail foundation, and it was dethroned by the Maybelline fit me matte and pore less, have you tried that one, I’m just curious your thoughts if you have, and you might want to try it if you haven’t?
GREAT VIDEO! My favorite foundation has been the Bobbi Brown per your first review. I used to wear the newly formulated channel ulta velvet which I can't believe that I don't reach out for anymore! Only thing is that I wish the Bobbi foundation would be more flexible to medium coverage. Do you think if I use the by Terri pressed powder, I can build coverage? Thank you for the recommendation!
Thank you for this list, Stephanie! Have you tried the Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation and if so, how does it compare to the Dior Backstage you love and mention often? I have the Dior Forever Skin Glow and really like it, but am intrigued with the Backstage and curious if you’ve noticed a major difference between the two (worth buying both?) Thanks! 🙏🏼😊
I have both. The coverage is the most notable difference. The Dior Forever Skin Glow has more coverage than the Backstage. The Backstage is buildable and has more of a self setting ability. But, if I had to choose between the two, I personally prefer the Glow because I like more coverage. But, they are both BEAUTIFUL formulas and two of my favorite in my collection.
Oh my gosh! Thanks Steph, this is just what I needed. 🙏❤️🙏 That Essence foundation was a total flop for me. I tried it every way imaginable.. lol good thing it wasn’t expensive. Because I was so mad at it I threw it in the garage lol
So I bought the Bobbi Brown foundation on your recommendation and I love it! Except now it's being discontinued it looks like...and the places that still have it don't seem to have my shade N052 Natural...have you tried the new BB skin tint? I was wondering if that was similar in any way. I'm so sad.
I meant to also say I was sooooo stuck on the Pat McGrath until I got the Dior backstage… Dior totally moved into my #1 spot.. is is crazy that just a normal makeup loving person has a top 10 too?!? 😂😂 I totally do!
Pat McGrath is my favorite foundation. I also like the L’Oréal Infallible Freshwear. I just bought the Essence Pretty Natural so no thoughts on that yet. I’d like to try the Dior Backstage foundation and I wonder how it would work with my Dior Powder no Powder?? ☀️☀️☀️
Would you be able to recommend a color for the dior foundation if I am 3n1 in Estée Lauder double wear? Does it cover as well as double wear and does it keep that oil at bay? Thanks so much !!
It’s impressive how well you match your foundation not just to the color of your neck and décolletage but to the texture and glow as well. It takes knowledge, awareness, and attention to detail that is seen mostly only in makeup done by working MUAs. It’s a delight every time I see one of your videos.
Thank you so much! 💗
I was thinking exactly the same! I’m only slightly jealous 👍🏻
that revlon candid foundation doesn’t get enough love. it’s SO skin-like and seamless to blend. will definitely be trying the infallible fresh wear
I grabbed the Dior foundation during the Sephora Sale due to your recommendations and it’s stunning. I love that it’s so light weight, skin like, and long wear. Can’t recommend enough
I'm so glad you love it too!
I’ll have to try that!! Thank you! I love Physician’s Formula!
Girl don’t ever shut up about the Dior foundation. It’s amazing!! I got it because of you going on about it and you were sooo right. Chanel and Dior are my favorite ones ever!!! They are worth every penny IMO
I love that Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream! I have normal to dry skin and it looks great all day. It barely feels like I’m wearing anything on the skin when I wear it. Great recommendation.

Oh wow! I'm so glad you like it!
I tried a sample of the Dior and absolutely loved it. Will absolutely buy it at some point. Maybe for black friday sales.
Thanks for giving a detailed and realistic description of these foundations. You covered different skin types price points etc. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Picked up the Dior yesterday (after getting the Armani Luminous Silk during the sale) at Sephora and I am already in love! Thank you so much for your recommendation.
Your fur baby is adorable!🥰
I'm usually a silent viewer but you deserve many, many thanks for your foundation and concealer match lists.
I am Mac nc25 and have referenced your very comprehensive lists frequently, thank you for making my life easier!!!
Thank you for breaking your silence and sharing that with me! I'm so glad it helps you! 🥰

Does it cover good and is it good also with problem skin
Shiseido Synchro Skin Self-Refreshing Foundation for the WIN. This stuff really does what it claims it does and it is stunning!!
Great video. Your descriptions were so clear and precise that I felt as if I was trying them on!
Lisa eldridge foundation is also self setting, long wear and still looks natural and undetectable. I def noted some of your faves
I love L E. and have bought many of her products. The foundation is unrivaled as far the shade selection goes, really amazing, but sadly it transfers very very easily and did not last on my skin at all.
I just got the Pat McGrath foundation. I am normal to dry. This foundation makes my skin look so nice. I'm loving it so far!!
My La Mer is pretty spot on…I’m Dune and Neutral, 200 and 220. It is the most amazing foundation!! Thanks for the video!
I really did enjoy this so much, Stephanie. I will admit I am so curious about some of these!!! Take care and have a wonderful weekend. xox
Agree with you 100% on the Bobbi Brown foundation. If you’re combo/oily and it’s humid where you live this is hands down the best!
Do you have to set this with powder?
I love your foundation reviews! I’m sure you’ve done this, but I’d love to see a medium to full coverage foundation round up
This makeup look is one of your best! Love the eyes
I am 2 shades darker than la mers foundation. I drop a couple of drops of burberry bronzer
CHANEL NO1 HANDS DOWN! Great review!
Love love love the video. Thanks a million.
Trying to match foundation is my biggest problem can you do a short to help explain the undertone and warm/ cool
I just got color matched at Sephora & my undertone is neutral not pink/red (warm). I’ve been buying the wrong colors for years.🥹
I will never be without my Estée Lauder double wear! Great suggestions, maybe I’ll try the Dior backstage. thank you 🙏 ❤️
Lancome teint idole foundation is beautiful and i like the l'oreal infallible, the Dior backstage face and body is so good and i love to mix it with my Nars soft matte just makes my skin look amazing
do you have oily skin ? if you do do you think the dior backstage comtrols your oils ?
I'm having trouble clicking on the title for your links of the products mentioned. FABULOUS video!!!! About to look at your tinted moisturizer one!

I like the Dior too! The 'Garnier Skinactive skin naturals oily skin bb cream light' is a very good dupe.
Love all your videos!

The struggle is real, I keep shining on…😩 in Texas
Such an amazing video! So informative and comprehensive. I truly trust your recommendations and have love ur channel❤️❤️❤️
Perfect timing for the holidays! Thank u!
Love your favorites lists Stephanie! I also love the Dior Backstage and the Chanel. Absolute perfection! I would add the Dior Air Flash and Givenchy Prism Libre Skin Caring Glow foundations as winners too! ❤️
I wish they still made the Air flash foundation 😩

You are my shade twin Stephanie. I need you to try the KVD apple concealer!
I've tried it! It was in my last concealer roundup very recently :)
Ty, going to watch it now 😃
Thoughts on Koh Gen Do?
Love the Lancôme Tient Idole, but my normal to dry skin is loving the L’Oréal Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation right now. It has SPF 50, and I’ve been using it since it’s gotten cooler here.
Irai, I also match Stephanie’s summer tone but leaning olive/green. So hard to find! Would you be willing to list some shades you use in other brands?
L'Oreal True Match W4
Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless 128
Wet n Wild Photo Focus "Golden Beige"
IT Cosmetics CC "Medium"
Dior Backstage Face and Body 2.N
Wet n Wild "Golden Beige"
L'Oreal Infallible "Natural Beige" (Pro Matte 105, Pro Glow 205, or Total Cover 305)
I hope these are helpful!
Enjoyed the reviews thank you for sharing 🌹🥀🌺🌸
Can you please do a review on the Bobbi brown, including your skin prep. I have it and want to love it but I find it hard to use. I apply it the same way you apply Estée Lauder.
I use to love Dior Forever but now in mid forties it sits in my forehead wrinkles. Any suggestions? I love the smell
Stephanie - which primer do you recommend under the Dior Face and Body foundation or any of these foundations? Thank you!!
The new Lisa Eldridge foundation is beautiful on the skin and very versatile in regard to coverage and finish, depending on what you use it with.
Would you review Covergirl TruBlend Matte Made Liquid Foundation? I really enjoyed this video!
Thank you Stephanie🌞
True Match drug store by Loreal, I always go back to it and their Lumi too.
Thank you for sharing. Have you tried the Very Valintino foundation?
Great video, Thankyou!
I need to try those Dior foundations. This is helpful! x
Now I want to try that Dior.
~Thank You~ 🌿🕊️💕🌍
Loved this video
Love u foundation reviews🥰
Really enjoyed this vid thanks💕
I think that I'll be trying out the Bobbi Brown and Dior foundations. I love your recommendations. Have you tried anything from Jones Road? I bought one of their eyeshadows and really enjoying it xx
Not yet. Thanks Hazel!
Yes 🙌 I LOVED THIS!!!!!!!!
So, if you could keep only one, which would it be?
I have dry skin, and am on tretinoin. And dior backstage foundation is my most favorite foundation. The alcohol doesn't dry my skin out!
I love Dior backstage. You should try the new Lisa Eldridge foundation .I think you would like it
Thank you for recommending the Dior foundation, I bought it during the sale event, I am so happy I bought it, it’s exactly as you described, now it’s my favorite foundation. The next one on my list to try is the La Mer foundation. Love your video and I learned a lot .
Happy you enjoy it!
The video was great, love your foundation vids, its how i discovered Dior F&B. Equally as appreciative to see Luke!!! 🥰💜🐕
Thanks!
I like Thrive mascara
I never really wore make up and now that I’m 53 I started wearing it. Since then my face is breaking out. Do you have a foundation that is good for acne?
I know someone who had Dior as their holy grail foundation, and it was dethroned by the Maybelline fit me matte and pore less, have you tried that one, I’m just curious your thoughts if you have, and you might want to try it if you haven’t?
Yes, it’s in my foundation lists often as well
GREAT VIDEO!
@@skittlejack562 good to know - thank you! 🙏🏼😊
I’ve got to try the Dior!!! 😃
I'm so sad.
Ty for your reviews!! Do you find the Dior Backstage oxidizes much?
u made me to buy this bobbi brown foundation
I always love your suggestions! Do you use a primer or sunscreen under these? If so can you share those as well? ❤️
I meant to also say I was sooooo stuck on the Pat McGrath until I got the Dior backstage… Dior totally moved into my #1 spot.. is is crazy that just a normal makeup loving person has a top 10 too?!? 😂😂 I totally do!
I'm wondering if you have video in regards to brush and applicators?
Now that Bobbie Brown has discontinued the SKin long wear fluid powder foundation, what is your replacement of this product?
A good list Stephanie :-)) Im passed the thick foundation look of years gone by lol oxoxo
This was really helpful, thank you. Which drugstore option would you choose for wearing under a mask - ie the most transfer resistant? Thank you
Pat McGrath is my favorite foundation. I also like the L’Oréal Infallible Freshwear. I just bought the Essence Pretty Natural so no thoughts on that yet. I’d like to try the Dior Backstage foundation and I wonder how it would work with my Dior Powder no Powder?? ☀️☀️☀️
I have a new fabulous one for you!!! The Lisa Eldridge! (We are shade 11 by the way haha!) I’m the same as you xxx
Would you be able to recommend a color for the dior foundation if I am 3n1 in Estée Lauder double wear? Does it cover as well as double wear and does it keep that oil at bay? Thanks so much !!
Have you ever tired Osmosis Satin Foundation or Oxygenetix Foundation? I'm curious of your thoughts on those
