This is the third part for this C24KM build. On this video we deal with the wheels and wheel weights, the steering linkages and the body. I decided to leave the electronics for another video so stay turned for that video which should be the final build video. Next the hill climb!

those rocks are 3d printed. The files are on thingiverse. I had to resize them to make them smaller scale.

For the metal steering linkages, did you go by the C44KM instructions and measure the lengths out by that, or just eyeball the measurement? I think I cracked one of the plastic rod ends so just went back to the plastic linkages since I knew the measurement was made for the C24 dimensions.

I usually eyeball because I have assembled so many of these that I kinda have a feel when things are works right.

Hi. Just bought one of these. Good thing you made these videos. They were very helpful. Instructions are vague.
I did run into a major/ little problem. 2 of the grub screws I installed on the drive shaft yokes stripped out. Do you know if there are better alternatives for these weak parts?

I personally haven't had any issues with them but I think they are m2 grub screws but not 100% sure. They are definitely not the best quality. If you have Facebook someone in the wpl groups should know. I have been lucky with mine. The grub screws they provide only like new hex tools. Even slightly worn tools tend to strip these easily according to some in the groups.

I’ve got mine up and running now but I’m finding it has a tighter cornering radius to the left than the right. By a noticeable amount. I’ve spent an hour adjusting the trim, positioning of the horn on the servo, the screw position on the horn, and how many threads I tighten the plastic ball joint onto the steering rod. It’s better but not equal at all. Do yours have this same issue or do I need to keep tinkering?

all you should have to do is adjust the servo horn by moving it one tooth to the side that gets less steering. Make sure the steering trim is centered. Hope that helps. sometimes you won't get it perfect but should be close.

idk if it’s supposed to but my steering rod isn’t straight like yours. I got the c54-km kit and the metal rod that came with it is angled at the ends. I have a straight plastic one that lines up good. Kinda bummed mine didn’t come like yours? I wanted to use the metal rod

mine came with a angled one but I have several spares and choose to run the straight link. you can bend that link straight if you want.
