Does anyone else wish that Toni lived just down the street, or was that girlfriend you could just hang out with? Thanks for all the yarn inspiration, instruction, and your calm voice and witty videos!
Who knew Siri was the real genius behind the color sequences. Those colors are like a modern painting, and those shawls are found only in posh boutiques for the rich and shameless to purchase. Kudos girl! Your talents coupled with Siri are inspiring.
As always Toni's vibes are immaculate! I love seeing how proud she is of her gorgeous new scarf. I also appreciate that she didn't needlessly stress out about following the rules she set, and instead focused on the joy of creating this personal project. 10/10
Can you PLEASE do a shawl for the other two boxes of colors? It would be so cool to see a three part series. This project looks like so much fun and I wanna try it myself
- I'm sixtythree and I have some healthproblems, so I also laughed a little... The scarf/shawl is absolutely stunning! I love the colours. I don't know how to make tunusian "on an angle" like you do. Have to figure it out... /Lisbeth from Sweden 🇸🇪
@@lisbethsjostrand5397 Start from one stitch. Increase on both edges until you reach the desired width. Then increase on one edge and make a corresponding decrease on the other edge until you reach the desired height. Then decrease on both edges
I loved it when your cat got playful while you were working. So cute! Reminds me of my kitty helper when I'm crocheting. I'm loving the color combo you have going!
I'm so amazed how you charged right through and broke your own rules to make something so unique and beautiful. Well done you! Your videos are always such a peaceful and joyful part of my day. I appreciate the care you put into them so much. 💜
Can you make another one with all the left over yarn in that box? I would love to see how another one turns out. Mostly because I found this very entertaining (:
Thank you, algorithm, for guiding me here. What a pleasant 20 minutes I just spent being talked to by a radiant, friendly person about her craft. I love seeing other peoples' talents, skills, crafts, and passion! Thank you for sharing your time and talent!
I’m obsessed. It looks amazing. Yeah, if you looked too closely you wouldn’t necessarily get it, but the whole thing is absolute perfection. Don’t mind me while I sit at work on a quiet day, knitting and binge watching missed TLYC videos...
I am SO in love with everything about this project!! I’ve fallen out of the Tunisian project rotation because I had forgotten the hooks you recommended a few months back. Those colors are amazing together what a brilliant idea to use Siri!! I know you think those colors aren’t your thing, and as I’m looking at things behind you, the plants, planter, wall art, and even the food on your plate...all colors in that palette but in your environment colors you subconsciously enjoy but in a different way. Love when that happens! You’re amazing, always inspire me. BTW that scarf is everything and looks fabulous on you!!! XO, Mimi
Mimi, I was thinking the same exact thing. This scarf is so gorgeous and I agree she made a good call throwing out those other colors. I haven't Tunisian crocheted before but have been an experience crocheted for years so I think I could do something like this. It's stunning!
I love how you go through the whole project and not just the crocheting of. The ups and downs of the color selection, the coffee making, the finishing, your thoughts/reactions, just such a wonderful mix. I normally don't like to watch crochet videos (I prefer written instructions) but your vibe is perfect. Love it
It really is perfect. The random placement of colors makes the mood shift, but the fact that it stays within a color scheme makes it cohesive! Really great project!
I love love love the process. Like temperature blankets regardless of the amount of planning you do there is still an element of surprise. It is about the journey, truly. Thanks Toni!
You are the most natural presenter I have seen in a long time. I love listening to you and seeing your beautiful smile as you speak. I’m so glad to have found you on TH-cam! Thank you for being yourself and not putting on a persona. Wish I could meet you in person. If you ever come down to Australia, give a shout and I’ll treat you to coffee!!! ❤️❤️❤️
That "ugliness" is the beauty of this scarf and I am in love with it. Me as a green and blue girl(and red is my favorite color too but alas), i am in love with the scarf❤
Thank you for taking us on this adventure with you. I think it was a great idea and it was a fun experience. Watching your joy was infectious. It turned out absolutely stunning. And your fur baby helping you just sealed the deal. 😍
I don't know if you'll see this - but you never know! I know I'm late in watching this video, but so glad I've discovered it! I had to end my nursing career due to sudden permanent disability, and I learned how to crochet from YT. I worked in Maternity/NICU and miss my patients SO much, so I decided to challenge myself. So far, everything I have made has been donated to hospital nurseries, hospice, or various missions. I've since needed to relocate and feel I'm ready for a new challenge. When I discovered Tunisian crochet, I said 'Why not?!?'. I was just starting my research re: supplies (proper hooks - a long afghan one, as well as cabled), when I came across your video. I prefer a bit sharper hooks as well! I had to tell you that you've inspired me to go outside of my comfort zone re: yarn color choices!! THANK YOU!! What a great idea you've had. I honestly really like the color choices in this project! Good for you and thanks for sharing! If you (or any viewers) have suggestions for nice Tunisian hooks like I've mentioned (without breaking the bank!) ....I'd appreciate any input. I like the idea of the lightness of wood, but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks so much. 💞
Just wait until you're 55 and sit in a "comfortable position" for 45 minutes - then you'll know what you can't do anymore, lol. The scarf came out beautiful.
I've watched this 3 times now, and I'm inspired to use my bright mini skeins in a random order on a project. I've never wanted to mix them before, but this showed me how beautiful random is.
Why am I smiling this entire video. Like omg. Im not even doing it but it makes me so happy to watch it. Gives me so much inspiration to expand my crocheting knowledge! Like *screams in crochet*
I know I am 8 months late but I love your tutorials. You are so happy and smiling and natural. I love the scarf the scarf and love how you do you. You encourage me to do me. (and get out of my comfort zone.)
Girl, I love your smile! My 8 year old son and I were watching your video, and just as it was nearing the end, he grabs my phone and snaps a picture of the scarf. I asked him, "what are you doing?!?" To which he responded, "I just HAD to get a picture! I love this scarf SO MUCH!" (Looks like a tunisian diagonal scarf is what I will be working on next, lol!)
Toni that came out stunning love the whole idea and Happy that towards the end you allowed yourself the right to put aside some of the ones that you really didn't want to go into your project
I don’t even know where to start with my comments on all of this PERFECTION !! Just like you, I’m loving everything about this 💕 I look at those little samples and wonder “what do you make?” And now I know. Beyond Beautiful … the scarf and you 🤗
Toni, I love you and everything about you and your channel! And I don’t even crochet … I’m a knitter!!! You don’t drag things out but you are and do give us the real deal when it comes to instruction, reviews, and your own opinion and what we need to know! MANY Kudos and please keep doing what you do. please come live next door to me! We wouldn’t get anything else done but we could sure have fun playing with some “sticks and string”! Ahhhh, it’s the simple things that keep me happy! Now if they were only free!
I think I’ve watched/put this video on as background noise, at least 3 times… Well 4 now. Her voice is just so enthusiastic and soothing. Not to mention how dang cool the scarf turns out! This video also convinced me to buy that same mini sampler…
Absolutely stunning and I love the way you had Siri help you to pick the colors which came together beautifully in the finished project! I crochet, but I am mostly a knitter. As you showed your progress, I kept thinking about making one of these with knitting, employing the same method. I am definitely going to try it. You made me giggle when you threw out the colors you decided not to use. Thanks very much, Toni!
Wow, that scarf is gorgeous! What a great idea. The colors look so great together, and they look great on you. You’ve shown me I need to step out of my comfort zone, too. It might bring my cro-jo back.
Toni, you are such a joy! Thank you for all your videos and smiles and wonderful, calming voice. For the Palette, if you have a single moth in your house, I strongly recommend keeping your scarf in something airtight and moth-proof (maybe a 2.5 gallon Hefty Jumbo Slider bag). Same for the leftover Palette yarn. I had Palette yarn, and it was ruined. Moths love it.
Toni throwing out the colors she didn’t want to use halfway through was so funny to me… good call, the finished product looks amazing!
Yes definitely.
I was thinking just the same!
Yes I was wishing so also
Oh my goodness!!! I'd have her over for coffee!

Kudos girl! Your talents coupled with Siri are inspiring.
Honestly, the scarf is beautiful. But THE CAT is the real star in this video. He looks gorgeous! 😍😍
I know you said you’re not a blue and green person, but you look fantastic with your new shawl! The plants and you smile just really make it pop.
As always Toni's vibes are immaculate! I love seeing how proud she is of her gorgeous new scarf. I also appreciate that she didn't needlessly stress out about following the rules she set, and instead focused on the joy of creating this personal project. 10/10

This is such an interesting idea!! Thanks for the recommendation 😀
The scarf is fabulous but you are MORE fabulous
Had to laugh. The kitty was excited to see all the minis, "its yarn time", made kitty's day.
Cats and yarns: to felines, it’s the perfect combo. To us, it’s a bit more cat-astrophic! 😂😂😂
😂 @ cat-astrophic.
The kitty jumped up on the couch totally thinking about getting into mischief.
My kitty loves the Tunisian hook cables
Toni, what is the name of your beautiful, nosy cat?
"This is the most royal of royal blues.
... NOT A FAN" *toss*
i loved this video!!
LOL! "I'm 34, so there's things I just can't do anymore". I wish I could do the things I did when I was 34❤️
I giggled at that comment also because I'm 64 and would love to be 34 again!
- I'm sixtythree and I have some healthproblems, so I also laughed a little...
The scarf/shawl is absolutely stunning! I love the colours.

Lol at 54 two hours in that desk chair means my leg falling asleep from sciatica and the heating pad awaits 🤣
I love that the cat started playing with the yarn 😂😂😂😂😂 so cute. Also these colors are gorgeous!
I loved it when your cat got playful while you were working. So cute! Reminds me of my kitty helper when I'm crocheting. I'm loving the color combo you have going!
My kitty will watch, but he's learned--mostly--not to play with it. I still owe him a "fun kitty toy" though.
I'm so amazed how you charged right through and broke your own rules to make something so unique and beautiful. Well done you! Your videos are always such a peaceful and joyful part of my day. I appreciate the care you put into them so much. 💜
Your ability to alert my Siri is amazing. Also I utterly adore this project.

the way you tend to go for brown and nature tones... i always go for mild pink tones! i really need to try a color palette like this
And I always go for blues and greens lol! This excited me more than it should have😂

All the colors go well together because the yarn company grouped them together ❤️ they are drop dead gorgeous 😍 ✨️ ♥️ 👌

You are just too precious! I was feeling down in the dumps but you made me smile and took the dumps away. Thank you , darling lady.

When you put all the yarn balls in the box it's actually obvious that the palette is very well combined, so all colors complement each other.

For having Siri pick random numbers, I’m amazed how lovely the colors look together. The shawl is beautiful.
High pressure... you handled it well! This project has a temperature blanket feel to it but with even less control. I want to do it!
I know she said those aren’t her usual colors to work with, but this is absolutely freaking stunning and looks sooo fabulous on her. Just wow!
When you were working on it I wasn't sure about the color combos, but the finish project is BEAUTIFUL.

You are now my go-to for Tunisian crochet - for the inspiration and the joy. Thank you x
