I've seen so much info from vets and techs saying not to do crocheted/knitted pet toys. They talked about instances of swallowing the yarn and fibers, and then the items were getting stuck in their bowels. So that's probably the only thing I could do without making on the list.
Your TH-cam videos are one of the best companies for a crocheter like me, that is a single mom and her kid is in school. It's just you, me and my three cats ❤🎉

This is my favorite part about crocheting. I’m 22 and I’ve been doing it for 2 and a half years and used to work at Joann. It was so incredible meeting so many people who share the same hobby ranging from 10 to 100 years old. Especially because there’s kind of sub-categories within it. Some people make mostly blankets, or wearables, or decor, or accessories, or just fun trinkets. Personally I like wearables and accessories but I really want to get into decor for my home especially because it is so expensive to decorate
I really love the idea of making a few things from this list as a set. Like a home decor set with the bag saver, coasters, and nesting tray. Or maybe a “spa day” set with scrubbies, soap savers, and wash cloths.
So smart!!
I have been trying to figure out Christmas gifts that wouldn’t take till next Christmas to get finished. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Right on time.
Another idea is to make simple crochet ornaments. I'm doing that this year for all the ladies. I'm making a collection of bells, wreaths, snowflakes and angels
You are so smart for that. I promised my Mom a tree skirt last year. Started on Oct 1 and finished on Christmas eve at like 3 am lol
@@nene00760075 I did that for my Mom's assisted living staff this year. I made mini-Christmas trees and slapped a star-shaped hook on the top for Christmas tree, Christmas tree ornaments.

When I have a lot of leftover yarn and odd skeins (I usually work with acrylic) I double it up and make scrap rugs. I mix different color yarns together and when one runs out I just add another color and keep going. I makes for an interesting rug and it washes well.
I'm only a VERY beginner crocheter, but I loved this video. The ideas really opened my eyes to what I can do when I get better. Please make some more like this and please make some videos on how to make some of those wonderful ideas you presented. Oh yeah. And please make some just for us beginners falling in love with crocheting. Luv from Australia 🇦🇺

Thank you. This video is a great find. Because, as you said "people may have gifted a single skein of yarn". That is me. I have a lot of gifted yarns. I am bookmarking this so that I can find it when I am ready for a new idea to clear my stash.
I made a pint-ice cream holder. Literally made a circle the size of the bottom of the carton and brought it up like a bucket shape - no more cold hands 😅
Ive always had a problem with not drinking enough water at school because i didn’t like holding onto the water-bottle, so that holder is a super cool idea! ❤
I have been buying small baskets and bowls and bags like crazy to organize all my stuff. Feeling a bit silly for not making my own, and putting crochet flowers on all of them :P But now I have lots ideas :) Love this!!
I love how much crochet is coming back into style for home decor! It's a very seventies aesthetic and it's so fun. I also adore those big fat flower keychains-they're going on the fiber art bucket list for sure.

When I started crocheting when I lost my job when the big C hit, then Breast cancer came along so with all the time I have learned so much about the crochet and sewing and I’m loving my new hobbies and it got me through some rough times during my chemotherapy treatments and of course all my friends I have met here in the TH-cam streets. Great ideas! I'd be careful with pet toys though. Like if you have a heavy chewer for a pet. And the small stuffed animals are a huge trend in Japan called Amigurumi and there are a TON of super cute patterns online!

All the accessories. The charger vine and mesh vest, door openers for my teens, seasonal place mats, organizers, so many great ideas. Thank you for this video. My niece is a teacher 2nd grade and every year I make scrunchies with my left over yarn for the girls in her class ( she buys for her boys ) …I love all of your ideas ..I am going to make the dog & cat toys gifts for Christmas !!!! Love your channel & you !!!!!
Just a warning- if your pet is a heavy chewer, don’t let them have access to a knit or crocheted toy unsupervised. They can swallow lengths of yarn and cause serious internal injury.

Aaaah! The crochet scrunchies just took me way back! My granny taught me the simple chain a d single crochet, and in no time, i was making beaded scrunchies and actually sold some. Taught my best friend to make them too 😊 i hope shes still crocheting too!

I found so many of these would be so great for using up my little balls or scraps! Thank you so much! I want to make the garland, but that means adding to my stash because I don't have much green that would suffice for vines and leaves! I have a thing for collecting all the stuff I can find at my Goodwill Buy the Pound, and I hit the motherload yesterday with baby yarns, boutique yarns and even some Bernat blanket yarn (one skein of baby LOL). Now I have to figure out what to make with all the beautiful yarns. I even found some that was baby alpaca yarn!
As for what I'd never make, that would be a cat toy or a cat hat. Haha, my cat would Cut you if you tried to put a hat on her. Unless a cat toy can be made so their nails won't catch, my old girls are super allergic to having nails trimmed, so there's that.

I also made a yoga mat strap (pattern by Carlie Flo) with a less than a full skein of cotton yarn! Super easy to do with just yarn & some bamboo or metal rings.
