i know right i just wanna see the man build something epic! lol it feels like hes holding out for later tiers or something but its just gunna make it harder later on by not automating things.
You got me hooked on this game! What cracks me up is I settled in the spot you are putting miners on...there is also copper there and limestone. Quartz isn't too far away. Coal is a long way, but almost right next to SAM. For me it is weird seeing it unmodified and you cutting down trees I left up...amazing!
I ripped up my entire beginning setup. I have dozens of storage crates filled with all of those resources that were reclaimed. Also, that factory platform looks like 'Shapez' from the sky, in a top-down view.
Regarding the hypertube cannons, you can use that setup just to increase the speed you move through the hypertube, and build a regular tube tunnel that goes directly where you want it.
With regards to the floating train network, you can always just do pillars from the platform to the ground periodically to give it an appearance of structure
Quick and Dirty Motor factory using alternate recipes: 1 Assembler set to motors at 50% produces 2.5 Motors/Min and requires 5 Stators / Min and 5 Rotors / Min, 1 Assembler making Stators at 5/min requires 15 Steel Pipe/min and 40 Wire/min, 1 Assembler making Steel Rotors (Alternate) at 5/min requires 10 Steel Pipe/min and 30 Wire/min, 1 Constructor making Iron Pipe (Alternate) makes 25 Steel Pipe /min for 100 Iron Ingots/min, 2 Constructors set to 200% making Iron Wire (Alternate) total to 90 Wire/Min for 50 Iron Ingots. That's 150 Iron Ingots total for 2.5 Motors and 20 Wire per minute. With the normal smelter recipe that's 5 smelters and you can get enough iron for that with a Mk2 Miner on a Normal Iron node running at 125% (or double it at 250% and run the motors at 5/min but honestly, that's overkill). If you have a couple spare mercer spheres, you can set all that up in 10-20 minutes in some random spot and have it all going into dimensional depot for use as needed. If you set up buffers intermittently between each step with a splitter going off to a dimensional depot, you can also have stators/rotors/pipe in your cloud storage along with the motors/wire. You can do similar setups using Stitched Iron Plate and/or Steeled Frame to get Reinforced Plates or Modular Frames, and if the Iron node has a convenient Limestone source nearby you can also go use Encased Industrial Pipe and/or Heavy Encased Frames to get Encased Industrial Beams or Heavy Modular Frames using just Iron and Limestone (this pairs well with Molded Steel Beams and Basic Iron Ingots, too but the former requires adding in coal to make actual steel and the latter is less resource efficient than pure iron ingots recipe for refineries). I've found it's way more time efficient to build tiny factories (out of the way and using inferior nodes) like that to get you the resources you need for the big stuff than either trying to manually craft or have a bunch of one off hand-fed machines.
I've been watching you play this entire series of videos. I just bought the game last night and played just over 2 hours. Loving it so far. I have to say, you make it look easy.
You say we don't wanna watch factory building, but at least for my case that's not true. Sure it's fun with exploring and such, but I wanna see everything. And if that's hmm-ing over a factory, I'm ok with that. I know the factory building leads to more fun stuff. It's a nice little cycle that.
You can hold left click on the object scanner to get a selection wheel of the scannable options so you don't need to right click through them one at a time.
I’ve been playing along with you as this is my first playthrough. I played a bit more than you between episodes and made a motor factory on a whim. Well I’m sure glad I did after seeing the struggle for motors you went through
Spam the scan harddrive button when there is no harddrive available in the MAM for a fun little easter egg. Once you get the special text keep pressing and it will cycle through more.
1:30:30 bring up Task Manager (CTRL-SHIFT-ESC) and keep it on another monitor. When that happens, tell us what, if any, is at 100%. Also, take a picture. I understand not streaming Task Manager to twitch, but TH-cam can help
Haven't watched this yet, leaving that for tonight, but I noticed in the past few episodes many people commenting on you wearing glasses! BUT I didn't see anyone commenting on the fact that you were wearing a giant turkey on your head. 😆🤣😂😛🥰 ALL the best.
Someone please tell me how Tanog splits stacks, and how he snaps the conveyorbelt so neatly without holding R, I must know! I can't find anything about it.
@tangotek2 have you opened up your gpu and replaced the thermal paste, I have the same gpu as you (it used to run hot) and after replacing the crusty factory paste it works way better
Doggos are, unfortunately, a complete waste of time and effort. They fall through foundations. And when you delete the foundation they fell through, they just fall through the world mesh. You must ALWAYS stay relatively close to them. If the world mesh unloads, they just fall through it.
I get why he's annoyed that there isn't a setting, but I have never played a game that auto saves on quitting that I haven't hated that feature on. Sometimes you need an undo
Since Tango is a streamer, I'm surprised he doesn't have a simple dedicated machine with a capture card. That way he can also just restart the recorded computer and still capture everything.
Tango if you want to do factory stuff just do it, the game is about making factories, I want to watch you make factories.
i know right i just wanna see the man build something epic! lol it feels like hes holding out for later tiers or something but its just gunna make it harder later on by not automating things.
however im only halfway through this VOD so hoping ill eat my words and he starts a big factory :)
Me too. He keeps saying we don’t want to watch. But no we do that’s what this game is
Loved the "here hold this will you?" boom!

They do not warn you! the popup is "are you sure you want to go back to main menu". Nothing about unsaved progress being lost.
I'm not addicted to this game, not at all. I think the kids can make dinner before football... I'm just gonna make that steel factories
I think you should do the weapons factory for the sole reason that you'd definitely make it look cool and I'd really enjoy watching you design it
Thank you for the upload tango!
Absolutely loving this play through!

Theres not enough doors for this iron factory to be optimal;) only OGs know

That baby getting yeeted off the cliff though

Personally i prefer zooping from front to back instead of left to right or right to left. Less trouble with aiming 2:37:32
Don’t know what this game is but I give like for support.

Awesome!

Regarding your freezer outlet tripping. Check to see if the GFCI is also an AFCI (arc fault). AFCI's don't play nice with the electric motors

pleas less exploration and more factory building!!!

There was like 6 or 7 pixels off in the distance, on a monitor that has 3.6 million pixels(1440p). How did you not see that?
@tangotek2 have you opened up your gpu and replaced the thermal paste, I have the same gpu as you (it used to run hot) and after replacing the crusty factory paste it works way better
(also this affects most 20series cards but the most powerful (2080TI) is affected the most)
Also if you are scared of damaging it I'm sure you can find a professional that will do it

Satisfacturday Part 2 for those unaware

My game does not lag like that. I have never seen anything like that before, in 102 hours of play.
Need enough dogs you can name them all one or skizzs dogs name lol
I'm fully expecting that the next stream will be delayed from tryptophan overdose
consume our blood must be DNA consumption :/

jetpack is so much less fun than riding the wire 😕
you know its Nobel sticks as in Alfred Nobel, as in the prize for science and peace, as in the inventor of dynamite. @tangoTek @TangoTek2
