@@sgtcreasegrease thaxx I never did get the recognition for that, the music biz was a real cut throat biz in 1984, Will socolov who owned sleeping bag didn't like to pay, and Kurtis mantronix who worked with me at downtown records on 6th Ave., Moved to the UK where his career took off, I stood in NYC mixing in clubs and for WBLS at that time, I got into the house music which was getting real popular by 1985.

@@anthonyortiz1387 That's a shame man. There's so many stories of people not getting proper compensation for their work from back in the day.
Wonder if there's any rips of your mix shows floating around on the net. Hope you're doing alright a good 36 years later.

10:27 "Without the accent, it wouldn't be so amazing." 😂😂😂 Your Italian accent make the videos enjoyable, too! You are such a great person to watch making music. This video makes me want to buy an 808 right away... But since DinSync pretty much announced the RE-808 project, I keep saving and wait for that project to come alive::..

G'day mate, I just read your comment to say hi, just want to thank you for your show and enthusiasm, but most of all Thankyou for your idea on arrangement and storage of the various cables, power supplies etc you have near the window in your studio tour video. I have been really struggling with them.. I realise its a small thing, but its made a huge difference to my sanity to be able to find stuff quickly to realise my idea. I'm a drummer of 35+ years and as a teenager was anti electronic music. If you saw my studio now you'd laugh. so hearing your comments whilst demonstrating how to DJ was a relief to hear. Still prefer a piece of hardware and analogue gear, but by embracing the best both worlds have to offer it is easier to realise my musical and visual ideas. Take it easy Doc.

You're not imagining the difference for accented steps. The trigger and accent circuits in the 808 combine to deliver between 4-14 volts to the voice circuits (7-14 volts, for CB, CY, OH and CH) and the voice circuits respond differently depending on the voltage received (source: service manual p6)
