Brilliant video. I own a shadow edition M140i in the same estoril blue, however mine is stock save for a Remus axle back exhaust. These cars are absolute weapons!
Thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoyed it, a lot of time goes into putting videos like this out. Please note if you don’t want to win the car, you can Chose a £16k cash alternative which would be a good budget for mods 😉
Thinking of buying this but need a definitive list of specific technical suspension changes required, to make it as much like an M2 handling as much as possible.
M performance lsd, bilstein coilovers, m4 lower control arms, could also go for swaybars, definitely go for solid subframe bushings. Dont forget better brakepads and fluid but the stock discs and calipers will do (theyre almost the same as on the m2). Ah and ofcourse a proper alignment. Power needs little explaining, tons of videos on that, just bm3 or mhd ots stage 1, 2 or 2+ and you're good to go. As long as you have a good tune with the correct octane fuel this b58 will run forever if you don't cheap out on service intervals.
Great car. I had one for 4 years, with a downpipe, map, and XHP3. Brilliant engine, brilliant gearbox, but sadly slightly lacking in other areas (handling). I think these will go the same way as Subaru Impreza Sti's, ie their used prices will drop to nothing, because every man and his dog will buy one and tune it, and they will fall into chav territory. Then, in another 15 years, standard ones will be so rare, they will be worth a fortune, just as standard Impreza Sti's are now. I now have a standard OG M2, it's slower in a straight line, but levels above in every other area.
The whine you hear is the ZF8 gearbox when it's warm, not the engine, and it's normal. The rear end is so sketchy because it has an open diff and stock bushings. Proper coils, subframe bushings and an LSD will make it grip way better. So don't blame the car not gripping due to rwd lol blame the open diff 😁 Don't forget a stock m140i has basically the same chassis and suspension components as a 116i m sport lol. Too bad you only went raving about the power increase and not adress the lacking handling. Not trying to be negative! Good edit though I think your channel has a lot of potential 👍
480bhp stage 2?! Which lottery dyno has that been on 😂😂😂😂 Mate they don’t even make that stage 2+, they run 460bhp absolute max stage2 with an upgraded HPFP, stage 2 your 440bhp absolute max on a realistic dyno.
Maybe you have seen the dyno results, but it’s incorrect. They 100% don’t make 480bhp on stage 2, they will have manipulated the figures to try sell their maps and its false information. Either that or the dyno just reads really high. What’s the 100-200kph times on dragy?

Stage 2+ m140’s do tend to be around 470-480bhp
@@AlexTownsend-hq2dt yeah on a lottery dyno 🤣
@@SebbyShvein1 looks like a lot of tuners have lottery dynos then
