Lots of new parts for our 70's camper trailer conversion!

- I had to repost this, didn't realize that the video didn't render correctly, it was skipping quite a bit!
Our Camper/Trailer gets new hubs, brakes, wheels, tires, motorcycle mounts, and an E-track tie down kit!. This was a 1970's camper with the old 4x9.44 hubs, I wanted to get some new wheels and brakes to make this thing a little safer and be able to carry at capacity. I was overheating and exhausted but we got everything done in a day, this video is a little longer so enjoy!

Wish you were closer I would buy an old rim if available I’m converting an old camper trailer into a flatbed myself

Chain only as strong as weakest link. How mounted to trailer is that link. How did you know witch hubs to order?
Hey Jeff, I have an 8000 lbs camper and the bolts/chains are bigger on this than that. The metal on the hitch where the mounting holes are is definitely hardened and almost an 8th inch thick id say it should be good for anything I would be towing. The axles and welded hubs are pretty standard throughout the years but you just have to make sure the new brakes have the same pivot point and square block that actuates the brakes. I know they all have manufacture names but I don't know them off the top of my head. There are links to everything I bought in the description above.
@projectrandomCO I have passed on many trailers cause of old style rims. Didn't know the cost or availability of conversion. Like what you do. Not nit picking. Any project I have done by end I see something I wish I would have done differently. Or someone something my 6yr old (now21) would ask a stupid or annoying question me later to realize we're nether and go "not a bad idea. Life's gets joy was spending time doing projects with my kids
Cost wise it is pretty good, if you can find an old trailer that just needs a new deck and some new hubs you can get it all done for less than $1000 for lumber and parts. I think total I spent about $1500 or so on the whole trailer.
