Based on the success of the NS500 two-stroke 500cc Grand Prix racer, Honda decided to produce a smaller roadgoing version - the MVX250F. The MVX250F was Honda's first two-stroke road bike, and featured a V3 engine, like the NS500. Unlike the NS500, the cylinder arrangement was the opposite, with the two outer cylinders laying forward horizontally and the middle cylinder standing vertically. The engine produced 40bhp and the MVX250F weighed 150 kgs. Another unusual feature was the enclosed disc brakes, which gave better stopping, but at the expense of extra weight and poor handling. The connecting rod for the vertical cylinder was made thicker and heavier to eliminate engine vibration, but it became a weak point, often resulting in catastrophic engine detonations. The MVX250F was only imported into Australia and New Zealand, and the model was discontinued after just 12 months of production.
A simple wheel-swap and re-paint, bubble fairing - you've got an awesome replica of the JAWA TYPE 673, famous as the bike BILL IVY died while racing - I'd love to see a "MVX400F BILL IVY REPLICA" - which of course would utilize an NS400R engine and a "faux-leading-shoe" front hub rendered from a PC800 Pacific Coast shrouded disc brake - waaaay better than the CBX550F conversion to wire-spokes, as it'd have full-sized discs either 276mm stock or 296mm using VF1000F/CB1100F rear discs on the front hub - THAT could really be something, don't you think?

えらく懐かしいバイクにお目にかかりました。
2スト3気筒の独特のサウンドいいですねーって昔僕も乗ってました。ノーマルですけど。
オイル馬鹿食い、煙吐きまくり、そんなこいつが大好きでした。
インボードディスクじゃないし相当いじくってますね。

昔、MVXにはNS400Rのエンジンが無加工で載ると聞きました。
自分は現在、そのNS400のエンジンを載せた幻のMVX400仕様を所有していますが無加工では載らないようです。
自分が知っている範囲でNS400のエンジンを載せたMVXは自分のを含め3台確認していますがATACがフレームに干渉するのでその部分はフレームを削っています。
他のMVXではATACを外している物も有ると聞きました。
Stop revving it like that not good to do that to an unloaded engine..do it when your riding it
