Thank you very much for this useful video. I have been running the Triton 300 (2020) since November and my CPU was peaking at 92'C while GPU was peaking at 83'C which was worrying. I've tried a cooling pad and other things but nothing worked properly. Now, using Throttlestop after watching this video, I undervolted by only -100volts and my temp is now 75'C both CPU and GPU without any affect in performance whatsoever. On the contrary, I would say the cool atmosphere sustains performance far better.
my Throttle stop settings are greyed out, tried updating bios but nothing still. it's an i7 11800h. CPU thermal throttles way too often and its really annoying. I've tried raising it off my desk to provide more airspace even.
@@arrangreenwood4142 I eventually found the solution with a video called "Unlock undervolting in any laptop with a 10th or 11th gen Intel cpu!! | Locked BIOS no problem!" by channel Laptop Tweaking Tips. Video shows you how to unlock your undervolting options in Throttlestop. It looks a bit scary but overall quite easy to do. Mine works great now because of it
The turbo boost ratio limiting is VERY IMPORTANT, for some reason if you like me didnt have any major issues with your cpu and then low and behold your cpu started going wack, I suspect its to do with intel chipset driver updates as well as possible windows updates has been making our CPUs unreasonably turbo boost at the most basic things, limiting turbo ratios has helped me more than anything and its important people understand that there is something not functioning right with intel chips or drivers.
Thanks mate. I had configured base on akaddict's configuaration that u shared on previous video. My Triton 300 encounter few restart at -150V, so I tuned it to -145V and it is all good for a month til now. Do you notice sometimes on your bottom right, just below the PKG Power, the [Limit] will show red color "POWER" signal, what is that mean actually?
i heard running fans at max kills the overall lifespan of the fans. Any engine or mechanical tool, its never ideal to run it at max for extended periods of times. They themselves will overheat when the oil and lube wear off. Exploits minor damages or imbalances will be extra strained and more vulnerable. Get external coolers and take breaks. I did the same as you show, except didnt touch the turbo ratio limit. It indeed lower my cpu temp from 89 - 93 degrees to under 75 degrees, but the fps didnt seem vary that much.. Should the fps go higher after undervolt or what?
*Not a pro* Undervolting correctly sometimes gives you better thermals and also performance. It all depends how you undervolt. Maybe due to good thermals, you get a boost of performance.
Due to the undervolt, the CPU is much cooler and won't thermal throttle, like it would on those high temps. The reason your frames are smoother and not varying is because of that.

Hi, is your triton 300 the one with i5-9300H variant?
Sameeee, I also used the exact way and it works great, with my fans at max, the cpu and system never hit 85
(when I'm gaming lah)

Yeah except anything was than 100 doesn’t allow turbo boost so you lost power you paid for.
I encountered a lot of restart on - 150mv at - 145mv. Same laptop but lower GPU (GTX 1650).
Try -120 and then limit your turbo ratio
Is it working

people say that Acer lock the Undervolt setting in the new Bios, is it true ?
From what I know its only true if you use the intel app but throttlestop can kinda bypass that

Hey can you elaborate what you are trying to do?
Why turbo boost short power max set to 24? Any reason?
Zack Ralph i dont totally understand either but it works. I think it shortens the time it goes into turbo
Raphael Lim so that means 24 is better than default 56?
U set the power who procesor use from a maximum 45 to 24 so o make it 2 times slower
What to do my laptop keeps crashing and lagging?
Blue screen of death?
