But me holding my elderly dog tomorrow just before noon, that I have spent more than a decade with, as she takes her last breath. It will hurt. I will miss her. Period. That's life. We're eating steaks tonight. Think about the suffering that happened to bring me and my dog such joy and nourishment. Life is pain and loss. You can say what you want. Actions are what is important. How you handle pain is what's important.

I have to disagree. Understanding reality and meaning doesn't cause suffering it destroys it, needless suffering at least. The biggest cause of suffering is other people imposing their meaning into others. Things like government, religion, and monetary systems do this and they are the biggest contributors to needless human suffering in history bar none. The ultimate defense against this is coming to a correct understanding of what it means to be an objectively good person so evil people and organizations can't manipulate you into supporting evil and causing suffering unto others.

I don’t post negative comments - especially against individuals. So I need to be really careful. Your message is to stop putting meaning on things and just accept them, just consume and experience without questioning the mechanics. I guess the only redeeming thing about what you are saying is that hopefully as you get older (I’m 50), life will show you, school you (Earth is a school) and you’ll start to understand - meaning that this utterly and completely incorrect take you have here now in your youth will be turned around 180 degrees.
