Austen Salcedo wrote, _"Moral of the story..."_
Do not try and extract a moral from the story. That`s impossible. Instead only try to realise the truth: *there is no story.* Then you will see it is not the story that offers a moral; it is only ourselves.

You don't wish for a new iPhone or drugs my friend, nonsense. Every chemical you require is within you so wish for your health and the health of other's if you wish for anything at all. As for materials, you can't take them with you either after the physical body turns to dust and you really don't know when that will be, tomorrow or the next day so to speak. You take the life experience and information collected when disembodiment happens. You yourself are the phone or radio and that's all you really need. Wake up and God bless..

That’s wishful thinking, my friend. You already have what you want. That’s why you are here, where you are. Your conscious is not guiding you. It’s the unconscious that steers the ship. That’s what you don’t realize, because we cannot know ourselves. We just do. Go with the flow, and everything works. That means letting go. The ship guides itself. If you fight it, you invite suffering. That’s what we are trying to avoid. Let go. I’ve seen it, very recently. The universe is truly magical, glorious.

When I was eight, I realized for the first time I wasn't going to live forever and that life is just another terminal illness. No matter how perfect or imperfect one lives, it will all be the same in the end. This realization filled me with deep sorrow and hit me with a depression from which I still haven't truly recovered from. I would even say a part of that exuberant kid died that day. What's worse than the pain and suffering from the slings and arrows of the world, is the inability to feel them. The numbness that grows over time when you realize nothing has any meaning.
Even though I pushed that thought away and tried suppressing it so I can live like a normal human being, I always end up questioning my existence and never actually lived, just hanging on and getting by. There is no moral to my story, no silver lining. I wish I could say I had found God or a purpose, but it just wouldn't be true, and that's something I have to accept. You just go on breathing until you don't. I do have a lot of admiration for people who continue to go strong despite facing the same dilemma.

    • @GillAgainsIsland12
      @GillAgainsIsland12 2 ปีที่แล้ว +229

Without God there is no meaning. That’s something to be depressed about. And yet we’re here. Is it all just a big accident? How can that be? Seek and find. The universe reveals itself to those who don’t stop seeking. Depression is a dead end.

I also, have had a cynical and almost nihilistic view point of existence. I truly understand.
At some point however, it finally clicked for me...that life brings on the meaning I assign to it, and I have to strive and work for that meaning. Also, that maybe I have been wrong, this entire time. Maybe, just maybe there is some inherent meaning and truth. Maybe, just maybe, life does not have to be just suffering and sadness.
Yes, we start dying the minute we are conceived...but the flip-side to that coin is that there is time in between those two events, and that I am responsible for what I do in that time. I didn't appear in this life to waste it. I didn't appear in this life to just suffer. I am here to live, to the best of my ability at any given moment, in order to help, live, learn, and love. It may come off as cliche, but there is a lot of truth in that for me.
Hang in there. I believe you can find meaning. You just might have to let go of some attachments to things.

@@28happenstance The truth is not to live for your self, but for humanity. In all of its monotony, you being here is for the life of others. Kind of like the mindset of Star Trek. Living and working to have "stuff" is pointless. In all of its horrors, when humanity was approaching the industrial revolution, it soared because it was striving to be more. Now humanity just wants a house, a sports car, and a permanent vacation. That is not what we are here for. The stars kiddo. Our mission is the stars.

Power of life can only shine in the darkness of being aware of death. The fact that we desire to live knowing that our body keeps aging, our bonds with people will all be broken, is fascinating. Our intelligence is so delicately balanced, no creature could ever hold the burden of consciousness without something as powerful to balance it: love, curiosity

I went through shock, grief and so on and at one moment while sitting by the kitchen table, I thought to myself that if I were to feel even worse than I did right then and there I would cease to exist. Just after that thought everything turned into love. Everything was love. I mean absolutely everything like all the material things around me, every cell in my body, the action of putting a knife on the table earlier, everything was pure love. It is unexplainable and it was not a feeling, it was a condition. I call it my spiritual moment. I it was a wow moment and I felt harmony times a million.

Repent doesn't mean confess your sins, but to stop doing them entirely. God doesn't want people that are going to be causing problems in His kingdom. You wouldn't either if you were a ruler. Get right now especially since doom is hovering over all humanity. The mark of the beast is almost here. Sweden is testing out that RFID microchip that they are using to buy and sell goods with. Elon Musk's neuralink is in the works and IDK what is going to happen with the quantum dot tattoos. Denying Jesus would be denying the last 3000 years of recorded history. We have identified the beast from Revelation 13 as The "Holy" Roman Empire, it got split up into ten parts etc. Israel was reborn in 1948 and Russia and Iran are currently allied and on track to cause armageddon.

Its even easier to just start a relationship with God and have Him carry you and establish your plans. If you make a serious attempt you can get a response. Pray for him to intervene in your life and listen for His voice and look for the motion of His hand. Revelation 3:20. if you dont understand biblical prophecy i would educate yourself as soon as possible. In the name of Allah, all praise for Allah Who has honored man and has created him in the best of forms.
All praise for Allah Who has endowed man with the ability to speak with his tongue as one of His greatest bounties. I bear witness that there is no God, no Creator, no Sustainer, no all-capable and no all-knowing but Allah, the only God Who has no partner and I bear witness that Muhammed p.b.u is the last and final messenger to mankind, the seal of prophethood until the last day the day of judgment. I bear witness O Allah that you have sent down the last revelation the Quran and through your selected messenger Muhammed p.b.u we mankind have received the message.
God has clearly stated our purpose being here, some will except it and others will arrogantly laugh it off as though it be petty matter.
Allah the All-mighty says in the Quran: And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength. And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me. And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. 51:56-60
Are you from the ones who can hear, see, contemplate and reflect or from the ones who will leave this world to an eternal hereafter of regret, once our soul leaves our body I swear by Allah there is no return. Its eternal Paradise or eternal Hell may Allah guide us all. Allah says: Every soul will taste death, and you will only be given your [full] compensation on the Day of Resurrection. So he who is drawn away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has attained [his desire]. And what is the life of this world except the enjoyment of delusion. Quran 3.185
I bear witness O Allah that I have delivered the message here and everyone who has read this is now responsible for their actions. No one here can say to you O Allah on the day of judgment they did not know. May Allah guide all the lost souls who are marching blindly towards their death with no purpose, ameer. How sad..

Relaying on hope is hopeless, it's just another tweak of the mind to look for something else, a rejection of what is. Believing and hoping are mental escape mechanism, the minds inability to comprehend and accept of what is. There is a meaning and a message in all we encounter and experience. When ones heart is open to what ever happens, there is never any hopelessness or need to create a believe.
The mind works in mysterious ways to find some conceptual key to see fleeting glimpses of our true nature. When you are home, their is no need to create anything anymore. Hope and believe are not needed anymore once we leave the plane of mental delusion. Everything will be clear from the illumination from one's true nature of mind.

As someone who has a very creative mind that sometimes causes stress, as it does for all of us to a greater or lesser degree, I ultimately must remember that we humans are no different (at a fundamental level) than all other forms of life. We adapt to survive. The human mind adapted (or was given) the ability to think introspectively for example. We can process the idea of the future and thus prepare and predict with reason in order to safely navigate. The human mind is always curious. We crave stimulation and for those with more creative minds we tend to think about the meaning of life when in fact it is simply to survive and procreate. Our brain evolved to crave serotonin. We release Serotonin when we feel superior, have achieved something, figured it out or love. The world does not need "meaning", our human brain is a survival tool and when something is not understood (which can pose an existential threat to our being) we "worry" about it, or dwell on it seeking meaning or understanding so we can tame it. Our creativity which is a survival mechanism can carry us beyond the need to simply survive and thus lead to the ultimate question of why we are here. In fact it is quite simple; we were a creation of the coming together of two people (male and female) who conceived you. In order to survive our brains crave serotonin which effects your mood and thus how well you survive. Some people feel they must find the meaning of life in order to justify their existence. No you don't. Your mind may tell you that and crave the "answer", yet that craving is due to our advanced brain seeking knowledge as a survival mechanism. We are gifted with creative minds, some more than others, yet seek happiness in what you do understand and stop trying to give meaning to life beyond what is given. Your truth may be quite different than another's truth. So who is right? Learn to be content. Stop struggling for meaning to the most difficult of questions. Learn to accept while at the same time learning to enjoy the experience of not understanding it all. It's OK. Start to focus on what you see. Enjoy the fact that your eyes have adapted to see a flower within the visible light spectrum rather than in, for example, the rather bland infra-red or ultra-violet. Marvel that your brain has evolved to see the rainbow of colors instead of trying to understand why they do. It ultimately comes down to survival mechanisms that have taken millions of years of evolution. If you believe you can find the "meaning of life" you will still see a flower in the same visible light spectrum, you will still smell its fragrance with the same olfactory receptors........Do I believe in "God"? I believe in a Creator. With that, I do not need to understand it all as I never will. Yes, I have a very creative mind and have used it creating music. I also have a very analytical mind having been a career research scientist. I will never stop thinking about the "why" or "how", yet I will not allow that to be a stumbling block to relish the present. Life is a gift. Stop questioning its ultimate meaning. It simply is..........Your flaws are no greater than any other. You just believe it is because it dwells within your mind. Just .....be.
