I was on the high school track team. They needed me for a lot of races, but I wasn’t the fastest. The coach said I could get my times down if I took cross country. I took a form home and watched my parents try to figure out what it was. They thought maybe it involved going places, so they said no. That was the end of my track career.
i ran cross country and swam long distance.. im 60 i can barely walk now.. i was an olympic athlete.. i can barely stand ahahah... i dont know what happenned.. i used to do traithalons into my 50s.. maybe its the congo

I am now at the standing stage ,but then I was always pretty much a standing person , running. Jumping, climbing rocks or now it’s literally wall climbing not for me . There have been times. My husband made me want to climb up a wall ! !!
This is why I stoped doing track after a season our couach could have cared less and running sucks along with shin splints . People should only run to:stay fit,and get away from danger.

I guess I was lucky. Our coaches ran with us and trained for marathons. They were great inspirations.
But that also meant we couldn't slack off during trail runs LOL
