    Exclusively breastfed means only breastmilk. Pumping is breastfeeding ♡

    Girl, I oversupply on purpose for my baby to have enough milk for daycare and hoping she will only have breast milk for as long as I can provide a good amount. Honestly, after watching your first video, I’ve been eating about a sleeve of double stuff Oreos a day and my supply has just been ridiculous since then! So thank you so much for that tip! So glad to find a working mama still pumping for her baby. Gives me motivation!

    Thankyou so much for explaining how you "pumped" with the haakas, i have them too but I've just been using them the normal way, but when you explained that you put them on and repeatedly squeeze them, (like how you do when pumping at work) I grabbed one of my haakas and started doing the same thing while watching this and milk came out (baby us sleep). . This is something i could have been doing in between feeds and getting extra milk to make a stash with also, but i didn't do enough research while pregnant so i never made a stash i hated waking up overnight to nurse and let my husband use formula and my then my supply plummeted... And now I exclusively pump (with my Medela). I'm a new mom and made this all harder than it should be, and now I'm already about to go back to work.. I have 2 weeks to go. But thanks. My baby is 2 months and on my first morning pump on full boobs i only get 4.5 Ounces combined and that's exactly how much she drinks right now, so there's nothing left to stash away after a pump

    • @used-x4j

      Try pumping more frequently even if not a lot of milk comes out at first. Eventually your body will produce more milk bc it’ll assume your baby is demanding more

    I use the hakaas too but instead of holding them you can use the rubber band hack and just loop two bands together and loop the rubber band around the hakaa and hook the other end in your nursing bra clip. Works for me 🙂 even with the bigger bulky haakaa (I have one small and one large one).

    If I may ask because I am struggling with that to figure: 1. How old was your son when you have started your extra pumping? 2.How does it looks like if baby need to empty both breasts for one session.. you attach him to first breast and Haaka to the other and when he is finished with first.. is there still enough milk in the second to feed him ? Or Haaka is emptying second breast and there is nothing to latch him for ?

    I think more jobs should offer “mother room”. I work with children, and you would think they would be more helpful for breastfeeding (working) moms in my field but they are not. I have to wait to be sent on break, and my break times are limited. We have no private rooms. The only space for employees is our general break room where people are walking in and out of...

      As long as baby is fed, don’t feel bad! Just do the best you can and forget the rest! I have low supply and it’s a constant effort to stay positive. My newborn is a month old and I just purchased the Haakaa about a week ago and started using it. I didn’t know about them until watching your videos. Is it too late to really get my supply going with the haakaa? Is it too late to trick my body into increasing my supply with the haakaa? Today was the first time trying pumping with it and I got 2oz instead of my usual .5oz. So I’m hoping that I have began to up my supply but I’m just so unsure.

      Hi! If you are in the United States you actually have a right as an employer to have adequate break times and a designated, private area (not a bathroom) to pump throughout the wor day. If they deny this you have a VERY easy lawsuit. Talk to your HR department about your needs because they legally cannot deny you that right in the USA

      I'm no expert (I only have a 4 month old) but I didn't get much pumping when all I had was colostrum. Hand expressing worked better for me. Plus, you don't need a ton of colostrum since little one's stomach is still pretty small. Best of luck! 💕

    I’ve watched multiple of your pumping videos, just to learn some new things as we are ttc.... I’ll definitely be watching them over once we do conceive. I feel like this is a silly question, but were you at all nervous about breastfeeding before having a baby? I have friends who stopped because of how bad it hurt, I feel like they were just having a hard time latching correctly...

      I had flat nipples and had to use shields until 5 months pp. I had quite a bit of discomfort in the beginning even with the shield but it went away. We just hit 1 year between breastfeeding and pumping and I have weaned off of the pump. We still breastfeed first thing in the morning and right before bed. Just keep your head up no matter what and make yourself aware of possible obstacles like lip and tongue ties and whatnot.

      If it hurts you are doing something wrong. Breastfeeding isn’t supposed to hurt. If that happens you should contact a lactation consultant. I’m still pregnant but I’ve been going to breastfeeding support groups and I’ve learned a lot. ❤️ keep getting more info, I did the same when we were TTC’ing and I was a life saver during this pregnancy.

    When you started nursing on one side with the haaka on the other where you “pumping” the haaka? Or did you just let it sit and catch the extra by itself while you nursed on the other side. I want to use the spectra to actually pump and the haaka to catch the milk from the other side while nursing.

      Freshly pumped breast milk will last 4 hours outside the fridge, 6 days in the fridge, 6 months in the freezer

    • @yarig9531
      @yarig9531 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Congrats! I'm a first time mom too!
      So according to the CDC freshly expressed milk left at room temperature can be good up to 4 hours, in the refrigerator up to 4 days, and in the freezer 6-12 months.
      If you're giving your baby the bottle and they don't finish it all, you have up to 2 hours to use it again.
      Also if you're taking your milk out of the freezer, once it's completely thawed (meaning no ice at all) it will last you 1-2 hours at room temperature and 24hrs while in the fridge.
      And you can never refreeze milk. You should also never mix freshly pumped milk with refrigerated milk! Whenever you mix it they should both be at the same temperature!
      Oh another tip I read, if you do decide to freeze your milk never store it on the freezer doors!
      Here's the link to the CDC where I got all the info: www.cdc.gov/breastfeeding/recommendations/handling_breastmilk.htm
      Good luck!

    I've been breastfeeding ever since my baby boy was born. He is now 4 weeks old. I breastfeed every 2-3 hrs and when I pump, I pump about 3-4 ounces each time sometimes 5 or 6 when they are super engorged. Is that good or should I be having more milk supply?

    • @MissNaniPoo
      @MissNaniPoo 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Soy Lopez07 hi, for some reason I wanted to give you my 2 cents. Your considered to be making enough milk if your baby is full when done eating and sleeping for 2-3 hours in between. And also most 4 week old babies don’t eat 3-4 oz every 2-3 hours. Sounds like you are making enough! And I bet you could pump more to be able to freeze it.

    My daughter is 4 months, for the first 2 and half months, she couldn't latch. I was expressing ( left side only) I persevered, and she can now latch on my left. I feel like my right side has 'dried up', but there is a tiny bit there.. like 2ml 🤦‍♀️, could I use the haakaa for that side? When I express with a pump, I feel like it's a waste of time...

    • @margaritadelarosa338
      @margaritadelarosa338 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe try using the haakaa on your right side while you feed your baby. But I'd say try pumping instead (your right side while feeding) cause a pump has more suction than this and maybe it'll stimulate your breast better! I'm mot an expert lol but I have a 7 week old and I was struggling with the whole "supply and demand " thing and my milk started decreasing but for a couple of days I was pumping right after feeding for 5-10 mins on each side and it increased my milk by tons! Oh and eat LOTS of granola, oats, oatmeal and drink lots of fluids, this helped a lot too Good luck!

      Fold the “collar” part back, squeeze the bottom, place onto your breast, fold the collar onto the breast and release the squeeze on the bottom. It will help suction it on.
