Saw it yesterday. Thought it was a fun Christmas movie for my family to go see. Probably will be playing at my house every Christmas. I enjoyed it enough.
That clip of the rock talking about Oppenheimer in imax actually had crying with laughter yesterday, and the fact that this wasn't even shot with imax cameras just makes it even funnier.
I just got out of the theater I enjoyed it I'll probably throw it into the Christmas rotation it's not memorable but its fun also your oldest daughter talking about movies she shouldn't have seen is exactly what my younger sister would have said a few years ago, in 21-22 she watched a lot of mature movies with me
Good way to describe it 🙂Red one had fun action, nice music and a cool design for Krampus but the 3D for the elves and goblins is ugly; the giant bear is not memorable, Jack and Cal friendship is not well developped. There's only two calm scenes where they talked about their pasts; one in the car and one in prison, that's it! If there was one before the big battle; that would be cool!
I love that you're not afraid to show off all the free crap they gave you and still basically say "This is a sign they don't have confidence in their product"! 😂
Leading up to this movie I always felt like I was on a different plain than everyone else or something, because all I kept hearing from the people I watch is “This movie looks terrible” But something about it just looks fun to me, I was always very much looking forward to this movie, and it just has me wondering if this is just 1 of those movies where for some reason critics aren’t willing to just fall back into what a movie is going for, this movie obviously isn’t aiming to be high art, it’s meant to be a big fun Christmas action movie, and so it really confuses me when I hear people say it looks terrible because it sounds like they’re expecting something more out of it, and so it has me wondering why people can’t just lean back and have fun with the ridiculousness

Sean your a amazing dad I have been watching your content since 2019 your one of my favorite reviewers im trying to make a animated movie and your content kind of inspired me
There's a small group of us who used to attend church together all going to see it on Thursday, a "boys night out" if you will. Me, a dad from my old church, two of his three boys (one is too young to go to a theater and has a disability that makes it difficult to participate in these type of activities) another mutual friend (who can't go because he's working) is allowing me to take his son and his best friend. In all me, another adult and 4 boys ranging from 10 to 12 years old. I'm looking forward to it, not our first time doing this, same group went and saw Black Adam, iron Giant and frequent group dinners together
I had to look up the budget and.....omfg. 250 million?! what?! I havent heard a thing about this movie. I suppose coming out this early gives it a month and half to make a lot of money with families, just like Jumanji did. But damn, thats a huge budget, and even if it somehow cracks 500 million, itll just be making its money back. I cant imagine this makes 3/4 of a million
We need to bring physics back to big budget action movies. It's (a small part of) the reason why the action in Furiosa is so engaging; it follows the laws of physics.

I went to it with my 14 year old daughter, and we both had a blast. And the fact they mentioned that this Santa is the same Nicholas of Myra 2K years later, along with the redemption message, does pick up on the Christian theme
I wasn’t expecting much, I know it was never going to be an instant Christmas classic but I was hoping to enjoy it more than I did. To be honest there’s a good chunk of positives in this, the cast is pretty solid for this particular film, Chris & the Rock do have great chemistry and J.K Simmons does play a very interesting and unique Santa. Each Santa Claus film does tend to have a unique style regarding the North Pole & Santa himself and this one was a really interesting take and probably a more realistic one too. It was definitely a more enjoyable part of the film. This film does have a good amount of potential, not enough to be a Christmas classic but enough to get some enjoyment out it and it does but it’s really let down by the script & story. I was hoping for more of a comedic film but either the jokes just don’t land or they’re just not there. There’s a good portion of jokes spread in the film but not enough to make a decent impression. And aside from the basic plot, the direction isn’t something I was too enthusiastic about, especially the villain who didn’t make much of an impact I went into this knowing it wouldn’t an instant classic or a top tier film but I was hoping for something more. It’s not a bad film, it’s fairly entertaining but certain aspects do let it down.
