From Chadwick Boseman’s tragic passing, to COVID, to the writer’s strike, to Jonathan Majors legal situation. I would say this all has played at least a small role in some of the recent problems for Marvel. Jonathan Major’s “Kang” was supposed to be the next “big bad” in the MCU. And they already featured the villain in Loki and Antman 3. Them having to fire Majors meant they were definitely going to have to make some sudden story changes. Which is probably why it seems like it’s taking too long for some of these new movies to come out.
@@MartinMarsano Kang carried Antman 3: Quantumania. Without him, that movie would have been more of a flop. And he was awesome in both seasons of Loki. Deep down, Marvel honestly didn’t want to have to change the title for an Avengers movie less than two years from its expected release. The biggest reason Kang no longer remains (pun intended 😂) is because of the lawsuits. It’s no coincidence that he got fired directly after the judge’s ruling. Antman 3 was a flop because of the writing (Modok’s goofy character or Cassie being cheesy, etc). Majors was the most interesting part of that movie. If what you are saying is true, they definitely would have recasted. But Marvel didn’t want any association with Majors (or his character) after the judge’s rulings.
Blade (been in development so long, that even if it comes out, it's probably going to be a mess) Brave New World (wasn't a fan of TFATWS show, but I like harisson Ford) Spider-Man 4 FF First Steps Thunderbolts Doomsday Secret Wars
Here’s my ranking of all upcoming MCU films: 1: Spider-Man 4 2: Avengers Secret Wars 3: Avengers Doomsday 4: Fantastic Four: First Steps 5: Captain America Brave New World 6: Thunderbolts 7: Blade
Captain America: They got terrible writers and a terrible director, I’m concerned. Avengers Doomsday: They got the best writers and the best directors, seems desperate - I'm concerned.
@@reallywish212 He has every right to be concerned, considering that they are replacing the big bad of this saga at the last minute and doing one of the most desperate casting choices ever. Just because the Russos did a great job with Infinity war and Endgame it doesn't automatically mean that Doucheday and Secret wars will be good.
Sean, maybe you’ve done this already, but I think it would be fun for you to make your own pitch for the MCU film and tv slates after Endgame in Long-form. I have been playing with ideas on my notes on my iPhone lol
Yeah I have some ideas. This could be fun. I've done one on which projects I would keep, cancel or convert to TV shows. I lcould have a fun FIX pitch. I like to keep them as close as is possible rather than a fully alternative pitch.
@ oh that’s cool. I think a lot of the earlier McU shows on Disney+ I would have converted to films. Even ones I enjoy like Hawkeye. I think that could have been a great superhero Christmas film lol But I also reimagine things without the pandemic, Johnathan majors issues and without the strikes. One early change is having the Black Widow movie follow Civil War. Why did we get a Captain Marvel film before we had a Black Widow solo film anyway? I’ve always been frustrated by that
All I want from marvel is for them to Recast Tchalla son of Tchaka. They recasted Ross after Hurt died so they can recast the real Tchalla. Also Blade shouldn’t be this hard to make. Just recreate Blade 1 with Ali but have a Wesley Snipes cameo so he can have his Logan send off. 2 Blades in 1 movie is $2B at the box office
I'm REALLY sceptical about Doomsday and Secret Wars because they're releasing in 2-3 years. In a vfx heavy movie, the vfx is going to be wonky. And we still don't have an Avengers team yet. There should've been at least one Avengers movie before Doomsday, just to establish a team, going against a normal villain. Doomsday and Dr Doom is the equivalent to Infinity War and Thanos, which took 10 years to build up. That's going to be difficult to build up in 2 years in one movie. And I'm hoping the story doesn't revolve around nostalgic cameos. I just want the multiverse saga to end 😭
Thunderbolts have a great trailer so i hope the whole movie is good. I think marvel will shine again with this new projects. Welcome back Robert Downey jr.
Whooops! Looks like I should have waited a week to release this. haha
In light of the Toadies appearing in Thunderbolts trailer 2, it is my most anticipated.

Hey Sean, who’s your favorite evil movie character who was good all along?
8:43 this part killed me 💀💀
I hope they get FANTASTIC FOUR right, because it is easily one of the most well known Marvel properties, and yet, the movies we've got, have utterly failed to do them justice, but the early 2000s FF films were fine I guess, but they weren't entirely faithful, and don't even get me started on 2015 reboot.... I could go on for hours
My ranking by excitement:
7. Blade
6. Captain America: Brave New World
5. Thunderbolts*
4. The Fantastic Four: First Steps
3. Avengers: Secret Wars

No. Stop pretending Jonathan Majors was the reason Kang was dropped. There's a thing called recasting.
@ recasting works in some cases. But Marvel obviously didn’t think so for Kang’s character.
@@secoopjohnp Yes they did. The actual reason they dropped Kang was because Quantumania flopped.
Daredevil ba is my most fav upcoming project
Blade (been in development so long, that even if it comes out, it's probably going to be a mess)
Brave New World (wasn't a fan of TFATWS show, but I like harisson Ford)
Spider-Man 4
FF First Steps
Thunderbolts
Doomsday
Secret Wars
Guy told his barber “gimme that fury cut”
I have no idea what that means
Guessing they’re referencing the 2014 David Ayer film Fury. Great flick
Gotta say… it’s fantastic
Here’s my ranking of all upcoming MCU films:
1: Spider-Man 4
2: Avengers Secret Wars
3: Avengers Doomsday
4: Fantastic Four: First Steps
5: Captain America Brave New World
6: Thunderbolts
7: Blade
Are you going to do a similar list for the upcoming live action and animated shows?
Captain America: They got terrible writers and a terrible director, I’m concerned.
Avengers Doomsday: They got the best writers and the best directors, seems desperate - I'm concerned.
It’s a fair concern especially since Doomsday hasn’t been built up. He’s brought in out of necessity and desperation.
Yeah, I don't really know what Sean is thinking right now...
I just want a good Fantastic Four movie. That’s all I want
I think that could have been a great superhero Christmas film lol
But I also reimagine things without the pandemic, Johnathan majors issues and without the strikes. One early change is having the Black Widow movie follow Civil War. Why did we get a Captain Marvel film before we had a Black Widow solo film anyway? I’ve always been frustrated by that
Fantastic Four #1
All I want from marvel is for them to Recast Tchalla son of Tchaka. They recasted Ross after Hurt died so they can recast the real Tchalla. Also Blade shouldn’t be this hard to make. Just recreate Blade 1 with Ali but have a Wesley Snipes cameo so he can have his Logan send off. 2 Blades in 1 movie is $2B at the box office
Here my ranking of upcoming mcu movies
1 Avengers 6 Secret Wars 2027
2 Avengers 5 Doomsday 2026
3 Spiderman 4 2026
4 Captain America 4 Brave New World 2025
5 The Fantastic Four First Steps 2025
6 ThunderBolts 2025
7 Marvel Studios Blade
8 Marvel Studios Armor Wars
9 Marvel Studios Shang-Chi 2
If Moon Knight isn't a part of the Avengers, I'm rioting!
probably Spider-Man 4 for me. i just hope it's street-level and not Sony interfering once again
Toms already said this Spider-Man movie will be different, I’d expect some form of street level-mutliverssl hybrid story.
We do know that Tom Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch are Avengers in Doomsday.
Great.
Thunderbolts have a great trailer so i hope the whole movie is good. I think marvel will shine again with this new projects. Welcome back Robert Downey jr.
