No surprise Deadpool & Wolverine is number 1. If we had to get a year of mid/bad comic book films to get this great one, then it was a worthy sacrifice. Just wish Venom didn't have to join them.
I highly recommend you check out The People’s Joker, which is hands down my favorite CBM of the year (I figure even a Batman parody counts since it’s using the likeness of the characters) Also, have you seen Robert Zemeckis’ Here? That’s also based on a comic/graphic novel. You mostly kept it to super heroes, but since it just said “comic book,” I wanted to make sure to bring it up
I only saw a couple haha 1. Deadpool And Wolverine 4.5/5 2. Joker: Folie A Deux 3.5/5 3. Venom: The Last Dance 1.5/5 Haven't bothered with the rest I also saw The original Crow for the first time this year and I loved it
Horror movies rules this year whereas its completely opposite when it comes to comic book movies which is really sad. I love that we have lots of great horror movies this year.
Yeah she's gotten really good this past year. There's a Dog Man movie coming out next month and my kids have read all the books. If she's interested I have a plan to have her do an even more elaborate review.
Live action: Cells at Work, Twilight of the warriors, Deadpool & Wolverine, Kingdom 4, City hunter & Golden Kamuy Animated: Look Back, Mononoke: The movie, Aot: The last attack, Spy x family code: White, Mha: Your next, TF One, Ultraman: Rising & Haikyuu Ones that I enjoyed.
I love My Hero Academy, by the way, if you ever watch the series, look for the Easter eggs that Horikoshi dropped in the series. Should also check out the MHA movies too.
7. Madame Web-An uninspired at best, unacceptable at worst entry to the comic book movie genre that’s entertainment value exclusively comes from you as the viewer ripping apart every piece of the filmmaking and storytelling processes from beginning to end 6. Kraven the Hunter-Even if it’s nice to see some R Rated violence here and there, every other element of this cobbled together piece of studio trash is just as, if not more incompetent than Catwoman (2004) to make for one of the worst films of 2024 5. The Crow-Although there’s some serviceable action bits here, this re-adaptation of the Eric Draven Crow story falls flat on its face when it comes to telling an inspired narrative and having a relationship between Eric and Shelly to care about 4. Joker: Folie à Deux-A $200,000,000 middle finger towards both Warner Brothers executives and its intended audience with fantastic cinematography and hollow attempts at having something to say 3. Hellboy: The Crooked Man-A Hellboy story that’s not incompetent in its plot mechanics, execution, or acting, but not remotely memorable in its plot mechanics, execution, or acting to make for one of, if not the most forgettable movie on this list for me 2. Venom: The Last Dance-Because this is the third entry in the Venom franchise, I can’t forgive this one for being choppily cut together and poorly written simply because it’s superficial superhero fluff 1. Deadpool & Wolverine-While the actual story here isn’t great in more ways than one, the interactions between Reynolds’ Deadpool and Jackman’s Wolverine, crowd pleasing appearances from characters, and the signature Deadpool ultraviolence and irreverence more than makes up for that to make for the only movie on this list I like Being that I haven’t seen My Hero Academia: You’re Next, I couldn’t include it in the list.

Deadpool & Wolverine (The Best Comic Book Film of 2024) Venom The Last Dance (Mediocre film but satisfying third act and ending and fun performances from Tom Hardy) Kraven The Hunter (Great action and fine acting from Aaron and Alessandro but everything else is mediocre though my theater experience was fun) Madame Web (Terrible and Silly The Crow (Passable third act but I hated the rest of that remake) Didn't see Joker 2 or Hellboy Crooked Man

No surprise Deadpool & Wolverine is number 1. If we had to get a year of mid/bad comic book films to get this great one, then it was a worthy sacrifice. Just wish Venom didn't have to join them.
I highly recommend you check out The People’s Joker, which is hands down my favorite CBM of the year (I figure even a Batman parody counts since it’s using the likeness of the characters)
Also, have you seen Robert Zemeckis’ Here? That’s also based on a comic/graphic novel. You mostly kept it to super heroes, but since it just said “comic book,” I wanted to make sure to bring it up
I only saw a couple haha
1. Deadpool And Wolverine 4.5/5
2. Joker: Folie A Deux 3.5/5
3. Venom: The Last Dance 1.5/5
Haven't bothered with the rest
I also saw The original Crow for the first time this year and I loved it
2024 Theatrical Marvel & DC Films Ranked
1. Deadpool & Wolverine
2. Joker: Folie à Deux
3. Venom: The Last Dance
4. Kraven the Hunter
5. Madame Web
How'd I just now realize that there have been 3 soniverse movies this year...
Spider-Man 2 in Nashville crew🙌🏻🙌🏻
I love Kraven The Hunter it got unnecessary hate
I love Madame Web it got unnecessary hate
Sean is the GOAT!! 🐐
"Also in last place" 😂😂😂
Fight for last place is crazy lol
If Deadpool & Wolverine is number 1, yeah it was a laaaaaame year
Yea this is why I'm glad I got into anime. Mha and deadpool were the only ones I saw lol
1. Deadpool & Wolverine: 9/10
2. Venom III: 7/10
3. Kraven The Hunter: 2/10
4. Joker Folie a Duex: 2/10
5. Madame Web: 1/10
Kravin the hunter was way better then Madame web
100% agree with you!
Sean chandler talks about anime is what we need
Hopefully this leads to less bad comic book movies getting made with high budgets!
Awesome shirt dude!
The Sony universe ending was probably the best thing to happen this year.
But Deadpool and Wolverine was really really good.
Kraven is better than madame web
I'd be shocked if 'Deadpool & Wolverine' doesn't *CLAW* it's way to #1
Same 😬
Horror movies rules this year whereas its completely opposite when it comes to comic book movies which is really sad. I love that we have lots of great horror movies this year.
Your daughter articulated herself so well. Great job, Dad! 😊
Yeah she's gotten really good this past year.
There's a Dog Man movie coming out next month and my kids have read all the books. If she's interested I have a plan to have her do an even more elaborate review.
Live action:
Cells at Work, Twilight of the warriors, Deadpool & Wolverine, Kingdom 4, City hunter & Golden Kamuy
Animated:
Look Back, Mononoke: The movie, Aot: The last attack, Spy x family code: White, Mha: Your next, TF One, Ultraman: Rising & Haikyuu
Ones that I enjoyed.
Ultraman rising was surprisingly good
Kraven at least had gore and decent action, madame web was just a joke
I love My Hero Academy, by the way, if you ever watch the series, look for the Easter eggs that Horikoshi dropped in the series. Should also check out the MHA movies too.
7. Madame Web-An uninspired at best, unacceptable at worst entry to the comic book movie genre that’s entertainment value exclusively comes from you as the viewer ripping apart every piece of the filmmaking and storytelling processes from beginning to end
6. Kraven the Hunter-Even if it’s nice to see some R Rated violence here and there, every other element of this cobbled together piece of studio trash is just as, if not more incompetent than Catwoman (2004) to make for one of the worst films of 2024
5. The Crow-Although there’s some serviceable action bits here, this re-adaptation of the Eric Draven Crow story falls flat on its face when it comes to telling an inspired narrative and having a relationship between Eric and Shelly to care about
4. Joker: Folie à Deux-A $200,000,000 middle finger towards both Warner Brothers executives and its intended audience with fantastic cinematography and hollow attempts at having something to say
3. Hellboy: The Crooked Man-A Hellboy story that’s not incompetent in its plot mechanics, execution, or acting, but not remotely memorable in its plot mechanics, execution, or acting to make for one of, if not the most forgettable movie on this list for me
2. Venom: The Last Dance-Because this is the third entry in the Venom franchise, I can’t forgive this one for being choppily cut together and poorly written simply because it’s superficial superhero fluff
1. Deadpool & Wolverine-While the actual story here isn’t great in more ways than one, the interactions between Reynolds’ Deadpool and Jackman’s Wolverine, crowd pleasing appearances from characters, and the signature Deadpool ultraviolence and irreverence more than makes up for that to make for the only movie on this list I like
Being that I haven’t seen My Hero Academia: You’re Next, I couldn’t include it in the list.
Wow, you have more strength than I do Michael. I only saw Deadpool and Venom.
Good list my man 🔥
@@danielskinner4097Thank you Mr. Skinner. I’ve had the realization over the last year and a half that I have a large amount of endurance for low quality films. I don’t really know if that’s a positive or a negative thing.
@MichaelTomsyckplot for Deadpool and Wolverine is good not perfect. But I like your list
This Garfield snub is cwazy
The Penguin
Deadpool 3
Watchmen pt 1&2
Venom 3
Steep cliff
Kraven
Madame web
Agatha all along
Echo
Hellboy
The crow
Joker 2
Boy what a miserable year for comic book property
Pretty telling that the worst year for comic book movies was the same year that had the most Sony Marvel releases lol
WB, Sony and Disney are setting CBMs back 30 years. I really hope that Superman and Brave New World turn out well, because I'm not interested in anything in the Superhero genre right now outside of The Batman universe
Brave new world looks awful lol. I have more hope for Fantastic 4!
@@Kobiedog31 Brave New World is the only major comic book film I don't think will be that great. I think Superman, Fantastic Four, and Thunderbolts have way more potential and will probably be pretty good films
@ to be completely honest I forgot Thunderbolts was even a thing. I hope it’s good but I don’t have high expectations.
@@Kobiedog31 I have hope for it because the creative team has worked on some amazing shows like The Bear and Beef but we'll have to see.
Damn, I still haven’t seen Kraven.. but no way it can be worse than Madame Webb… which I haven’t seen either 😂
Madame Web: F
Kraven: D-
Joker 2: D-
Crow: D
Venom 3: D
D&W: A-
Superhero fatigue is upon us
I don't know. The issue here seems to be bad writing. The one definitively good film in the list became the highest grossing r rated movie of all-time. People show up for the good ones, but they're tired of the mediocre and bad ones.
1. Deadpool and wolverine
2. Kraven the hunter
3., Venom 3
4. Hellboy crooked man
5. Joker 2
6. Madame web
Deadpool & Wolverine did everything it set out to do, which is more than the other movies can say (I haven't seen the My Hero Academia so I can't speak about that). It was the only one of these I wanted to see in theaters and the only one I didn't have to watch with alcohol
By far the worst year for comic book movies in years
14: Madame Web: 2/10
13: Kraven the hunter: 2/10
12: The crow: 2/10
11: Hellboy: the crooked army 2.5/10
8-10Crisis on infinite earths trilogy: all 5/10
7: Venom: the last dance: 5.5/10
6: Joker: Folie a deux: 5.5/10
5: SPYXFAMILY Code white: I need to rewatch this 7/10
I really like all of these movies
4: Look back: I just watched this today 8.5/10
3: My hero academia: you're next: 9/10
2: Super/man: the Christopher Reeves story 9.5/10
1: Deadpool and wolverine: 9.5/10
Deadpool got the spot it deserved but it being on a list with the rest of these movies feels so wrong 🤨
7. Madame Web
6. The Crow
5. Hellboy The Crooked Man
4. Kraven the Hunter
3. Joker Folie a Deux
2. Venom the Last Dance
1. Deadpool & Wolverine

All 140+ 2024 Movies I Saw Ranked (Livestream) - January 1st
1. Deadpool and Wolverine
2. Venom The Last Dance
3. The other ones
I like to throw manga into my comic book movies, so my ranking would go:
15. Madame Web 2/10
14. Hellboy: The Crooked Man 2/10
13. The Crow 2/10
12. Blue Lock Episode Nagi 4/10
11-9. Crisis on Infinite Earths Trilogy each a 5/10
8. Joker Folie A Deux 5/10
7. Venom The Last Dance 5/10
6. The Concierge 8/10
5. Super/Man The Christopher Reeves Story 8.5/10
4. Look Back 9/10
3. Deadpool and Wolverine 9/10
2. SPYxFAMILY Code White 9/10
1. My Hero Academia You’re Next 9/10
The top 5 carried hard for me
We are probably in the very minority with our lists. Glad that you enjoyed Mha: Your next! Dope film.
@@NinthShinigami Madame Web is such a forgettable movie that you forgot to include it on your list.
@MichaelTomsyck holy… I can’t believe I actually forgot it 🤣
@@peterfrost377 yup. And ofc man, adore My Hero 🔥
This was an awful year for superhero movies. Marvel and DC mostly took the year off aside from Deadpool and Joker and we got three Sony marvel movies. Deadpool was fun and I didn’t hate Venom because of Tom Hardy and Venom’s chemistry but that’s pretty much it for good stuff.
1. Deadpool and Wolverine (6/10)
2. Venom: the last dance (4/10)
3. Joker: folie a deux (3/10)
3. Kraven the Hunter (3/10)
4. Madame Web (2/10)
What there was actually a new Hell Boy movie! 😮
I guess it's an equally balanced year for cbms if only one was good, but it made hand-over-fist way more money than the others combined....
Yeah, the Golden Age of comic book movies is over. But I have hope for the future.
15. Kraven The Hunter
14. Madame Web
13. Hellboy: The Crooked Man
12. The Crow
11. The Price of Money: A Largo Winch Adventure
10. Venom the last dance
9. Deadpool and Wolverine
8. Joker Folie a Deux
7. Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths
6. Here
5. Juliet in Spring
4. You're Next
3. Watchmen: Chapter I
2. Look Back
1. Watchmen: Chapter II
The only ones I saw were Deadpool & Wolverine, Joker 2, Venom 3, and Kraven.
I LOVED Deadpool & Wolverine, easily my favorite film of the whole year.
Joker 2 has gotten worse and worse the more I've thought about it.
Venom 3 I actually didn't mind. It's B movie fun with some heart at the end. RIP Venom ❤️🥺
Kraven the Hunter, the first half bored the crap out of me. The second half, I didn't mind, but overall, the film was not very good when it's all said and done.
1. Deadpool and Wolverine
2. Venom: the Last Dance
3 Joker: Folie A Deux
4 Hellboy: the Crooked Man
5 Madame Webb
Kraven (haven’t seen)
Crow (haven’t seen)
Academia??? Haven’t seen
1) Deadpool and Wolverine
2) Don’t Really Care after that.
I enjoyed Joker 2, The Penguin, Agatha, Deadpool & Wolverine, X-Men 97 & The Boys Season 4.
I thought Kraven was mediocre, but a little overhated.
Hated Venom 3, Madame Web, Hellboy & The Crow.
To me it pretty much felt like yet another regular year for comic book adaptations hahaha
It just sucks that The Boys s4 had to add some unnecessary filler. Like I will never forget the backlash of Hughie being SA'd and Frenchie being gay
Deadpool and Wolverine is the only good one 9/10
In my opinion its
1. Deadpool and Wolverine
2. Transformers one
And then a huge gap
3. Venom the last dance (still bad but i like the venom movies cuz it works)
And then another big gap
4- Everything else
I have only watched 3 conicbook movies, so here it goes:
3 . Joker : Folie a Deux
2 Kraven the Hunter ( I know , I'm crazy )
1 . Deadpool and Wolverine
Didn't see every comic book movie from 2024 but of the few I did see here is my ranking from worst to best.
6. Madame Web
5. Deadpool & Wolverine
4. Sailor Moon Cosmos
3. Golden Kamuy Movie
2. City Hunter
1. My Hero Academia: You're Next
Honestly Joker 2 was absolutely horrible and I absolutely loved the 1st one
Venom last dance was miles better joker 2 in my opinion
Deadpool & Wolverine (The Best Comic Book Film of 2024)
Venom The Last Dance (Mediocre film but satisfying third act and ending and fun performances from Tom Hardy)
Kraven The Hunter (Great action and fine acting from Aaron and Alessandro but everything else is mediocre though my theater experience was fun)
Madame Web (Terrible and Silly
The Crow (Passable third act but I hated the rest of that remake)
Didn't see Joker 2 or Hellboy Crooked Man
Is transformers one not a comic book movie
I didn’t see all the movies, but here’s my list:
1. Deadpool and Wolverine
2. Venom 3
3. Kraven the Hunter
4. Madame Web
5. Joker: Folie à Deux (better made than the three above, but the one I found the most disappointing)
