My simple water to flour ratio for chapati is half a cup of water for every cup of flour added. This works for Atta. If you add oil, factor that in the water volume itself. I got this from a Punjabi friend. 😄

Your narration and preparation was clear and easy. I followed your method and made 13 pcs of Chapatis which were very soft and tasty. I kept 6 pcs of Chapatis in plastic ZipBags and placed it in the refrigerator for about 1 week and after the period I sprinkled water on the Chapatis and heated it in the pan and they were still soft and tasty.
