there were and are multiple folks making Handlebar "lifts" of varying sizes for the Muscle. I have 1 1/8 spacer on mine works great.

I have an '08 myself, I just really wish HD was still making parts for it.

VROD always had a cult following in Germany

You tagged the key problem: the handlebars. I have a VRSCA and a VRSCAW and wouldn’t own a muscle because of those bars. There’s a strong argument the lack of an upright seating position destroyed the Muscles sales and ended VROD series sooner than it should have been. Thank you!

Night rod owner, very solid bikes, and super interchangeable parts in the vrsc family as well. It’s what made me choose it over the muscle

Do you think maybe the V-Rod never took off is because the style for long range trips was not compatible with riders? The weight is about 614lb. wet with a 4.0 fuel tank. The bike itself is more of a city around town short trip type of bike and i always liked the style. Nice video, Peace

I recently bought a VRSCF with 3k miles on it and I just love it, the water cooled engine allows you to drive it in traffic jams all day without being worried about the engine overheating. The riding posture is very comfortable, it is a bit on the heavy side, but once you’re on the move, it feels great. Lots of power.

I have a VROD Muscle and I'm worried over what I can buy when it's finally time to change. Triumph Rocket 3 is just too big with it's weight and 2500cc engine. Sportster S is just too small for me. Ducati Diavel doesn't have the cool factor and I don't want a japanese muscle cruiser. Maybe they'll come up with something or new or maybe the Outbreak. I don't know.

I can honestly say after spending 2 hours on the vmax on the video Saturday. I far prefer the V-Rod the vmax was pure insanity. That just does burnouts at half throttle. And was total overkill. What I think hit the Vmax the most was the throttle was far too abrupt on and off throttle was far too jerky making me keep the bike in fifth gear even in very low speeds to make it more drivable.

The vmax cant do corners, and the Rocket barley weighs more than the vrod while handling much better

@@jimanders9971 You are correct about the weight. I just googled it. How about weight distribution? Seems a lot higher than on a VROD?

@@taffelost6221 the vrod will not corner with the Rocket either, the seat is probably a little higher on the Rocket but the motor is way low. I have never been passed in the twisties by another cruiser.

The vmax and the Ducati you cant ride all day so not true cruisers. The vmax is cant corner as well nor does it have near the power of the Triumph Rocket which is the best muscle cruiser to own.
