Thanks for giving the Corsairs some love. I totally agree with 40, they're a strong team and if played well can secure you consistent wins; but pulling several rabbits out of your hat during a game leaving your opponent impressed/shocked/flabbergasted is what makes them SO MUCH FUN!
Personally I’ve needed this video. Corsairs are on my build pile of potential and they’re secretly the one team I’m desperate to paint and the play as I’ve always had a soft spot for Eldar. Much needed advice and insight, thank you!!
I think it’s important for corsairs to understand that they are a very balanced team. against space marines you cant go blow for blow so you have to play slow and methodical; and against guard teams you have to move up the board fast and force engagements early
I played against my friends Warpcoven and they just shred the Corsairs with the raw damage output of the attacks, over 4 turns I did like maybe 9 wounds cuz he 1 shot all my operatives. Being 8 wound squishies is rough.

Just bought some Corsairs, this video is a saving grace Update: Found a really cool play. Spend 1 CP in strategy phase on aeldari agility, giving an additional black to all my movement Make my shade runner concealed, shoot his throwing blades into somebody, slicing attack through an operative (basically a normal move, but when I move through an enemy operative I do melee attack, that basically autohits because of ceaseless) into an objective, pay 1CP to pick it up for free, and then run away with a free dash into cover, all while concealed and being unable to be shot at.
I know this is old, but I'm just seeing it, so for any other new Corsair Players, you can not use the extra 1"(Triangle) of movement and shoot or charge in the same turning point, per operative. Even with out it, like he was saying in the video, you can use the Way Seeker to slingshot him across the board which ends up being 4" more movement than two Triangles from move and dash. It's a splendid way to deliver a grenade into a group, if you find the opportunity.

I still can’t figure out how to play this team. I’m just getting wiped off the board immediately. I either alpha strike, never do enough damage to kill a single marine even when sending my duelist, then get killed. Or I wait till they expose their units, but when I pop out to attack I get chopped up from the enemy being in the guard position. I’ve lost every game with them against marines. I’ve only played Hive Fleet besides and always won, but was usually down to one or two models at the end of the game. Only winning cause I scored tac ops better.
How do you get a 24 inch move? 3 inch dash from recon option, plundered dash, regular dash, followed by normal move of 6 inches and then 3 extra inch from aeldari agility? That's 18 inches. Where's the next 6 coming from?

I love the mention of using TP1 as a set up for a strong TP2. Ive felt pressured into trying to play aggressive TP1 to try and get an early lead.

Swapping places with the psyker if it is 6" away.
On top of that, you also have your 6" indirect reach if you equip a grenade. Or the Square for your fusion pistol.
Nice insights but the terrible sound levels really detracted from this episode.
