An interesting Combo you can do with Assassin is shooting the Mask on an APL2 model and then Charging it. With Stun, it won't be able to Fall Back unless the opponent has some APL bonuses, which makes you very safe.
Duellist works at any time, no matter whether you're a Defender or not. So if you attack, you can basically resolve two dice right away, just one of them has to be a parry.
Situational on the battlefield and highly dependent on combos and team work. I love it! This is going to be a tough team to get to work, and won't win everytime, but that's part of the fun of the game.
I like what they've done with the Voidsmen. It sounds like we'll have a little phalanx of them all shooting the same target, yelling "Vhane! Vhane!" and holding the line. It's awesome. 😎
Keep in mind that Combined Arms only gives relentless for the one attack you use it on. The fact that you can elect to use it after rolling is pretty nice though.
I saw a 40min guide, checked who made it, and immediately clicked. Quit killteam after the reset and learning the new system now since my playgroup has genuine interest. Hated I never got to use the Starstriders back in the day. 🤙🏼 thanks for doing what you do!
Take it from me hotshot capacitor on your 3 lasguns and carapace armor on master and gunner. Take trade skill for extra 6ep and get 3 frag or 2 krak. I recommend frag.
I have a question about duellist. It triggers before the enemy resolves a succesful head. Does that mean, that if I do a fight action I can resolve a hit (from performing the action) and before the enemy resolves do a parry from duellist for a total of 2 dice?
I'm not sure I follow how the Executioner has "functionally 9 Wounds" from her Feel No Pains. Maybe you mean you're likely to roll a 6? But that doesn't seem right since it's entirely dependent on how many hits are being taken. And yeah, I think the Executioner should be able to Charge from Conceal because otherwise her kit doesn't make a lot of sense. The best you could do as far as I can tell is Shoot, Change Order, Charge. So you can potentially impact someone's APL for their next activation, deal very little damage and then tie them up in melee. Which is... fine? I guess? Not sure how often you'd do that instead of just Change Order, Charge, Fight with your far superior melee profile that comes online at longer range.
I know I'm way late to this party, but you have the "Undaunted Explorers" Strategic Ploy described as "halving damage," and that's not quite right. What it actually does is halve the damage from ONE DIE of the first Shooting attack's hits resolved against the target. A small but vital distinction, since it makes the difference between the Strategic Ploy being Great/Good to being Middling/Poor.
Do you mean running Craftoworlds and taking 2 teams of Dire Avengers? I mean it's a great start! You're not going to be topping any tournaments against decent players, but you can do really really well against other compendium teams and a few spec teams too!
@@GlassHalfDead Yes, craftworlds, in general. Because I have Dire Avengers around, else, I could pick up some Rangers. Heard they're not bad. Thanks pal
@@bastich4225 Since Craftworlds were changed in the balance dataslate so every fire team has +1 operative, they are in a really decent position and will take you far!
if Canid uses loyal companion can he charge interupt while he has conceal order or does he have to have engage order same thing with Wyrmblade unqestioning loyalty or Corsair voidscarred deadly ambush thanks for answer
So… if a voidsman or the leader is using a privateer asset do they still get to auto retain / gain balanced? Or not because they are not equipped with that weapon for that shooting attack? Also if your leader uses one - does that count towards the wound damage she needs for her tac op scoring?
Digi laser does an average of 5.33 dmg, pretty much regardless of anything (does indirect do anything here?) and the relic pistol 11.33 with 0.67 crits and 2 hits. Let's not forget about the 51.77% chance of being P1 on the heirloom though. The range change for indirect in the Gallowdark is obviously a biggy, as it does make them the same range if indirect is supposed to apply. Maybe the digi should be usable at engagement range, to make it a true contender?
I think that Digi Laser is that "Fuck You" button when you have an enemy with 2-4 wounds in a cover that you know will make all its saves because of course it will.
Heirloom is 5.43 average against a 3+ save. So Digi Laser is going to be a more for sure way to kill in range due to the lack of modifiers if the target has any sort of benefits to armor at that point. Rerolls, autosaves, etc. it’s just a nice option to have if you want to guarantee damage.
And no, Loyal Companion is definitely an interrupt. You perform Charge immediately after the opponent finishes its move. So you can immediately Charge in and take the Fight from the original target.
Anton, your enthusiasm is great, thank you for all the comments! But just a headsup, when EVERY comment is your version of the correct rules, it's a touch grating. It gives the impression you're just watching to be pedantic and add nothing else. And no, it isn't an interrupt raw as I explained (or if I didn't do it in this one, I did it in the kroot one as they have the same text, can't remember. I recorded all of these a while ago now!)
@@GlassHalfDead Sorry if I sound pedantic. But I try to write comments that actually add to the discussion. I don't like generic comments like "they look great" since it basically means nothing. Pointing out mistakes seems pretty fair to me. Especially those that affect some of the core combos of a team, I don't see how it isn't adding anything to the discussion. Though I admit that the way I'm doing it - in multiple comments, as I'm writing them along with the watching - may not be the best, I should've watched the video wholly and made one longer summed-up comment. And yes, maybe some of my particular comments are indeed overly pedantic (not this one, it's an important matter I believe), I'll try to keep myself from those. And no, it definitely is an interrupt I believe. In Kroot Hounds as well, I didn't pay enough attention to your interpretation then. The ability doesn't say "during your next activation" or whatever, it just goes "enemy finishes a Charge - you can perform a free Charge action". If it was meant to be a free Charge during your activation, the ability would directly say so. As written, the Charge happens immediately as it has no other timing specified.
@@antongrigoryev6381 Not at all, I'm all for multiple comments! I actually prefer them that way! I'm just letting you know, it's a bit of a grind. I understand why. It would be very weird if you left a comment every time I got something corrrect! But it inevitably means that every comment you leave is a negative. I'm just saying, put into the community the energy you want it to have. Fair enough, bud, agree to disagree. Jump into the Discord and hash the interrupt or not issue out in the rules channel, that's how I modify my intial read to what the real rules arguers decide after they bat it around for a few hours :)

We should be talking more about the great injustice done to Aximillion, Emperor's Goodest Boi, who has been demoted to simply "Canid."
This is definitely the strangest change!
@@GlassHalfDead Is it as strange as patently avoiding "Fetch" in both Kroot and Canid data sheets?
