Jun Imai made the coolest HotWheels castings ever. It's really cool that he even has a lot of really awesome 1/1 cars as well!

One of my favorite cars was the early 260z some guy traded me straight for my gutless Datsun pickup cause his wife couldn't see over the hood.. circa 1987. To see what they are and can be now is nuts. I paid $700 for that pickup, ha. Love this one!

I hit this man up on instagram years ago when I first saw this car, and he mailed me a sticker! Definitely one of the coolest guys in the car community.
I have several thousand cars some still in the boxes, some not. Those are raced with my boys...

exactly- this build is fully low budget, it's totally possible.
Had to pull this up while I was cleaning my Hot Wheels display up! Right after I wiped this beautiful casting off! And Larry you hit the nail on the head man! IRL I’ll never own 5 Mazda 787b’s or 2 Liberty Walk RX3s or the 100s of Porsche’s in my collection... oh and 3 HKS GTRs.... I’ve got basically every car I’ve ever dreamed about in my collection....

I have the hotweels version of this car (DTW89). Hotwheels called it a 240Z though

People drill the rivets on Hotwheels and repaint, wheel swap, customize etc. Someone could easily replicate your RX7 or even yourself

Fuck yeah my buddy had a 71/240z L28 swapped Flat Tops with 394 4brll Holley Carb and single 2.5 Flowmaster , 10 point roll cage , 15" enkei racing / bbs style with red mesh with a chrome lip on a white car with a Porsche 🐋 Tail molded to the trunk lid seamlessly...lol they would say pump #1 is on for the white porche at the gas station 😅

On the subject of Hot Wheels, that is what made me permanently like cars, especially in the line of fantasy designs. As cool as real cars are, they never really clicked with me unlike the fantasy ones. And I'm not talking about the real wacky cartoony cars, but the ones that are more biased to realistic looking concept cars. Barring that, this guy's Fairlady Z designs are definitely one of my favorite real car based releases from Hot Wheels for a while now. They're pretty great for customizing too since you can swap parts and things from one another (with some slight cutting) due to being relatively similar.
Man that car is awesome, they so expensive now, im happy with my e30 but man Z are on high level

With regards to the tyres just because they look new doesn't mean they are, always check the dates and dont run old tyres.

As much as I love these vids, they do hit me in the ol' heartstrings a bit as I find myself pining for a lot of the cars I had in my youth. I'm glad I have the memories of decade-long ownerships for most of them, some were taken from me by idiot drivers or thieves, but they will sustain me as prices soar for these cars in the wake of our electrified futures.

Bro I legit found a handful of my original HotWheels from when I was a kid last year and decided to try and find them brand new in the package. Well a year later and I'm about 5000 cars deep and ran outta space a while ago lmao HotWheels for life 👍🧡🧡🧡

I’d beg my mum for money every time we went to the shops just so I could get a hot wheels car, they were what really started my passion for cars and I certainly wasn’t the most caring with them and destroyed most of them but there’s that special few that mean the absolute world to me. I even made my uncle buy me one when he went to America just so I could say I had a hot wheels car from America. I’d love to build up my collection again, I handed most of mine onto my brothers or cousins when I was “too cool” to play with hot wheels cars and I regret it. They were such an excellent starting point for so many people and so many people still have that special hot wheels car that means the world to them.
Sadly I now own a Datsun 120y (also known as a b210 in America and a Sunny Gl in Asia) that’s never been made into a hot wheels car

The Z car industry needs some COMPETITION in the widebody kit world. I personally don't like the RocketBunny kits for Z cars but unfortunately there's no variety to choose from.
Do they sell nose lift kits that you can install in any lowered car? What’s the correct term used? I don’t want to lose the performance from coil overs and airbags are out of the question for me personally.
