@djacobs7632 I have not. I only try balls when I find them on the course and I have never come across one yet. One ball that I have been finding is the Vice Pro Plus. I purchased 2 boxes of Cut Red off Amazon based primarily on your review. 2 balls literally cracked in half while I was playing them -- brand new, out of the box, not even a whole round with either one. CUT agreed to send me another box of balls (Gray, this time). But I don't have a lot of confidence in the brand or the product.
I've heard that from other people as well. It's such a shame. That wasn't the case for years, but now I'm not really sure where cut is headed in the future. I know the blue has always had serious issues, but I never had any with the cut red when I was doing extensive testing a couple years ago on it. It would definitely make me weary to use them. I hope they can find a way to fix them
Same happened with me. I cracked four brand new Cut Red balls in a single round. One blew into about a dozen pieces when I hit it with my driver, and I have an average swing speed, at best.
Would love to see the Wilson Chaos tested, which runs about $1 a ball for a 24-pack and can be had for even less when on sale. I've found a couple of these out on the course, put them into play, and was surprised at how well they performed for me.
Wilson is pretty amazing when it comes to their two-piece golf balls. I have had a few requests for the chaos so I will definitely get it tested as soon as I can
I'm still a big fan of the Vice Pro as it appeared to me a very consistent ball. But for a cheaper ball the zip was not far off. I've mentioned before, have you tried the Piper balls which they recommend fit based on handicap? Which does not make sense as you could be a 20handicap and have a 110mph swing speed. I tried the Blue(sub $30 3piece) and they worked great for me on course versus a pricier Callaway. I literally watched the ball straighten in the air.
Precept used to have the Lady. Dudes started using it due to the softness, so they rebranded a few years later as the Laddie - the Precept Lady for lads.
I got a box of Nitros. Was expecting to lose them all by now, still have around 20 after a year. I only use them at one course that has a high probability of me losing balls. Nothing like having a forced carry with OB behind the green, or OB behind the green, or just forced carry. Sounds like a redesign is in order...lol The ones I play most are Srixon Soft Feel. I've got some Volvik Vivid, which is like hitting a chunk of ice and 2 boxes of Bridgestone X (red). I have a few TayloMade stripes for putting practice.
Good stuff. Good call on the taylormades for putting practice. They really help. I've only tested one volvik ball but my goodness it was awful. I share your sentiment there lol
Would love to you get and review some Seed balls. They are an Irish company running between $29-$34 a dozen depending on amount you buy. I saw a club champion video where they had Max Boucher hitting them and there was minimal difference with Pro V1s. I finally ordered some and I have a local simulator place with a Trackman. I have seen no difference in my numbers from Chrome Softs to the Seeds (other than the price)
I just got done doing a review of the legato finally. Absolutely amazing golf ball with tremendous value. Be on the lookout when I do 2024s video you'll probably see it on there
Been about 20 years since I last played as a kid and picked up the game again this past year. Bought a hodge podge of used balls to see what I liked, always noticed I wasn’t losing Wilsons at the same rate as the “best” brands. Didn’t know if it was just a placebo effect like trying to not f*ck up w the “good balls” (Titleist, Callaway, etc) or if the Wilsons were actually legit. Thought I was crazy for noticing till I saw the Todays Golfer robot video and your reviews. Thanks for confirming bro
I push to people all the time how important a good for giving golf ball is. Even myself, I've been using tour balls lately, mainly the pro V1 since my work provides them for free and I have so many of them. The other day I was struggling hitting the irons pure and man every time I miss hit it I lost about 15-20 yards. When the round was over I realized my mistake. Having that forgiveness is such a big key for so many golfers
I am a 75 year old +1 handicap with a driver speed of around 97 Mph and I play the Maxfli Tour X golf ball. I did some very thorough testing against the Titleist Pro V1 and couldn’t find any difference (except the price).
Some of us go to the two courses in my area, walk the course and pick up lost balls clean them up and give them to our buddies. Of course I keep my share of performance balls! Thanks
That's awesome if they let you do that. A lot of courses down here don't allow it because the course is always full. Some of the cheaper local courses will though. Definitely the cheapest route though😆
Would be interested in comparative distances off the tee for the value balls. The big golf ball testers focus on the tour-level balls and most amateurs play the value balls. I'd switch if I could get a few yards more from another ball that tested better.
@GolfBallAddict I think premium balls were hovering still at $30 even in the 90s, so yeah, pro v1 charging 55 is low considering inflation due to a lot more competition.
Love that ball. However it's priced at 23 dollars per dozen, which is only average when it comes to pricing tiers. Value is just ok. However performance was very good. ⛳🏌️♂️👍
Maxfli StraightFli... $15/dozen. Slightly harder than a Callaway, slightly softer than a ProV1. More roll than spin, so good tee balls, but they still work around the greens. You just can't beat them for the price.
So I do love the Bridgestone e6. However when it comes to value it's actually on the higher end price point wise. I believe for 2024 a dozen of them is around $25. Most golf balls that I give a really good value score that are two pieces are more in the 15 to $20 per dozen range. Don't get me wrong though, like I said the e6 is a great golf ball and I really enjoy it
@@GolfBallAddict Amazon has them for 20 a dozen and rock bottom has them for 14 a dozen but the shipping is $11. Still not terrible for $2 a ball that's urethane.
If precept put a little work into there, logo or and brand marketing, they could be a top ball, but they are basically what Pinnacle is to Titleist as they are made by Bridgestone or vice versa
Definitely needs a new logo for sure. Even when I find one of these on the course I still roll my eyes. Even knowing that it's a great golf ball. It just looks and feels cheap
Have you tried the HONMA TW-S and TW-X balls? Three piece golf balls. One ionomeer the other urethane, marketed at 85mph driver speed and 95mph+ driver speed.
@golfballaddict Thanks for your reviews and list. I don’t know if other subscribers would be interested or not but I’d be interested if you had a rating system based on price. Top five $1 balls, top 5 $2 balls, $3, $4 and $5 balls. Then potentially as you see or hear about sales do a quick video or seasonal video on “time to stock up on this $3 ball that you can get for $2”. It may also increase your subscriber activity as we’re writing in on deals we’ve found. Just a thought. Thanks again for the in depth reviews!
This comment couldn't have come at a better time. I was actually just getting ready to make a short and talk about potential top five golf ball list coming up.
I did but it needs to be retested. My numbers weren't that good but I've had many people tell me they've had much success with it. Could have been a lemon
I have played the Cut Red some and found its performance to be good. It’s cover durability I found to be excellent which is interesting as the Cut Blue and Cut Grey cover durability is very poor. Then, I too had a Cut Red cover actually crack on me. When I noticed the first crack, I also noticed the second crack on the same ball. I never noticed a crack on other Cut Reds, but it might be possible to overlook these cracks if you do not check your ball over carefully on the green or the next tee. The cracks were about an inch long and about twice the width of a human hair. I could definitely see, feel, and get the tip of a fingernail into it a bit. Disappointing, but not a deal breaker if it only happens to say, one ball out of a couple dozen? Hopefully Cut corrects this, but they have never corrected the awful cover durability on the Blue and Grey and that’s been the case for probably four years or more. Nick, check over your Cut Red at every tee. I don’t hit it that hard and I cracked one in two places and I can only reach the shortest par fives in two once in a while, so I am not a powerful golfer.
Thank you very much for the feedback. I think I agree that with the value, even if a couple of the cut reds are cracked, you're still getting them for a dollar a golf ball. Some people would be willing to lose a couple of golf balls in exchange for what you get with the cut red
I'm just about to start my 3rd year so about to change from second chance balls as I'm losing alot less balls. Thanks to Graeme at lanark golf course for that in his lesson. What do you recommend for a faster swing
If you want a two-piece golf ball that is more forgiving and doesn't have as much side spin, I would try the Titleist velocity. If you are looking to go something three piece for more green sign spin, I would definitely try the vice line. The vice pro would probably be perfect for you. You can also try the vice tour if you don't want to spend quite that much money yet. Also the encore elixir is a fantastic golf ball for that swing speed as well. They are direct to consumer but you can get them for 30 a dozen.
The potential value for oncore is insane. If you join their membership program, you can get I think up to like 20% off every golf ball order. That makes them even cheaper if you're someone who buys them frequently throughout the year. Loyal customers are definitely rewarded
I really like the new speedsoft by taylormade...I like the TP5 but just can't see the value and get great results for the speedsoft at half the price at 24 per dozen.
It feels like every single comment I'm responding to is about the speed soft. Not that that's a bad thing, because it isn't. I love that so many people are enjoying the golf ball. I also love that Taylor made is making strides in the right direction. I completely agree with you, if I had the choice between the two I would play the speed soft
Honestly I would rather people just play a cheaper golf ball. There are a lot of direct to consumer golf balls you can get for $30 a dozen for a three-piece or $15 a dozen for a two-piece. All that perform really well. My issue with the second handball websites is you don't know what's happened to the golf ball. How many rounds has it been played? Has it been sitting in water? Also a lot of the time they end up being fake.
I’ve only been golfing for about 5 months so I lose a ton of golf balls unfortunately. I know my horrible shots are just me not knowing what I’m doing but I don’t want to use a horrible ball that’s going to make me worse than I already am Lol. I’ve used a lot of Nitro bc they are so cheap. You can get a box of 45 for like $27 or a box of 25 for $17. I was just curious why I haven’t heard you mention anything about them. Are they that bad?
Keeping in the theme of budget, id love to see you review some recycled premium golf balls. This is what i usually do to save money. Kinda curious to see those results.
I second this. I was going to recommend this. To expand on it, maybe test the same ball as recycled, 5A used, and 3A used to see the performance differences. I buy pretty much all my premium balls 5A used. I usually can find a 30-40% discount from their original price.
That would be awesome. I get excited to load up on 4As. If saw mixed results, id be watching some of your other vids again to see which brand new balls i should buy haha.
I have had quite a few people tell me this. I've looked around for years looking for this ball. It always feels like it's out of stock. I would love to get my hands on one
Purchase? I haven't bought a golf ball in over 50 years! I find so many and I've been given some on the high school golf team and in scramble tournaments!
I played a local par 3 last week and the lakes were almost empty of water but if I had a lengthy retriever I could have gained about 300 balls from each of about 5 lakes
@@GolfBallAddict oh i thought you meant that literally, that makes sense. i got some nitros in bulk as practice balls and they're actually really good value, beats top flite imo. lookin forward to the review.
I have a vendor that gives me Pro-V1xs. You can't beat free, but I know it isn't the best ball for me. I play them anyway most of the time. I only use maybe 3 per round, so i have like 5 dozen piled up. I should sell them and buy a more appropriate ball for an old guy like me.
They are made for tour players who can shape their shots. If your not a low single digit hcp, they will just magnify your unintended fad and draw. I pretty much stopped playing tour balls for that reason and I am a 9hcp.
I play with a guy that plays expensive balls. Every time he puts one OB he says there goes $4. So when I lose a ball I started saying there goes 95 cents.
It's a huge difference. I'll never forget the time I had just bought a pack of TP5 golf balls when they first launch. I spent $50 and at the time I definitely couldn't afford it. I lost six balls that day and my soul left my body
At $27 per a dozen. That's an amazing deal. If you're someone who loves the max fly tour golf balls, I can't imagine finding too many better deals than that. Awesome insight! :-)
Kirkland actually just took the number 1 spot in my "most overrated golf balls" list. After testing the V2 and the V3 last year, I got mediocre results with both.
Needed: PV1 spin/drop and stop/wedge check/distance off the tee…..for $20. Played the Cut Blue, but it did exactly what they say: it cut, scarred, and was otherwise ruined within 3 holes. Kirkland: highly overrated and 10-15 yards shorter off the tee than PV1.
Seriously, how good of a player do you have to be to feel/know the difference? I mean when your swing is so inconsistent, how do you know if it is the ball or you? I'm currently a 14-HC and I'm eligible for social security. I almost never buy new balls. I do like Titleist, Srixon, Bridgestone and Callaway (striped). I typically buy them on e-Bay (AAAA - don't buy AAAAA, they are the same balls.) I buy 3 or 4 dozen at a time and rarely pay more than $1 a ball. I was buying new Vice balls (discounted at 5 dozen, but their prices shot up). I did buy the cheapest version of the Vice balls and played some crap rounds - again -- me or the ball? I found a Maxfli TriFli (Shamrock on the ball) recently and played well with it. I bought 2 dozen at GG for $35. Been playing some solid golf recently with them.
Good question. So I would say most mid handicappers and lower can tell the feel of different golf balls. The thing is, there have been a few people lately who come on this channel and assume I am saying that by playing a better golf ball it will make you better. I can promise you that has never been said. The reason someone would still want to play a golf ball suited to their game, is because it can indeed shave strokes off. For example, every single round I play with a Wilson zip or a snell get some, I always shoot three to four shots better than I do with a pro v1. Why? Because I get forgiveness on the Miss hits with the other two. Instead of pitching into the green by losing 20 yards off of a miss hit, I only lost five and I'm still putting. Big difference. There are a lot of other little factors in there as well, they don't make you a better golfer if they can definitely help limit some of the issues you have. Another example would be side spin with the driver. I knew a guy who had a tremendous slice, so I always made him play with two piece golf balls to limit the amount of side spin. Yes either way he was terrible at keeping the ball straight, but one golf ball allowed him to still stay and play while the other one was out of bounds.
right now in Canada the Precept Laddie is 25.97 for 2 dozen ( Canadian ) 19.00 ( USD ) great springtime ball and late fall WILSON ZIP ? really ? interesting cheers all
My 8 year old hits the Laddie Extreme better than anything else- I think they're 35 compression, if I recall correctly. I had loved the 50 elites for years, at 24 bucks cad for 24 balls- however, I swing the driver way too fast for it, and the simulator proved that for me. I've used the Bridgestone Tour RS, and recently found the titleist tour speed to be great for me.
It's definitely on my list to review the new model. I'm thinking about doing a side-by-side with it and the x model since I've never tested the pro V1X.
I'm not super upset overall, I guess the reason I'm not as mad at the lesser models is because they can still be had for great value compared to other golf balls in their market. Two for 30 is one of the cheapest you can get around. The tryfly as well. However with the tour balls going up $5 every single year for the last 3 years. Does that mean next year they'll go up again? Is it going to be two for $75 or two for $80? Because at that point there will be multiple golf balls that are less expensive than that that offer the same performance if not better.
@@GolfBallAddict I used them exclusively when I started playing. At that time it came out to .50/ball. So if I hit one too far offline I just left it and dropped another further up the fairway and kept going. I still use them occasionally when I’m having a bad rnd. Although they’ve gone up in price since then, they’re still the most affordable option. Yes it’s a hard ball, but it’s not like it produces extra slice or anything. I think they’re the perfect affordable ball for someone starting out that’s gonna lose a lot of balls. 🤷♂️
If you take a pinnacle rush and put a titliest label on it, suddenly the ball become fantastic. If take a pinnacle core and put a urethane cover around it,, man we can sell for $7 per ball..
I'm disappointed to see that you list Cut Red to be the #1 ball. Not sure whether you have actually played it. I had the worst experience with Cut red. 4 balls out of one box cracked on impact (my club head speed is 90 - 95 mph). Quality is just unacceptable. I have never seen any other golf ball crack like this, and of course, I swear I will never play the Cut balls even if they are given to me for free.
Thank you for your comment. Please allow me to give a timeline of the cut red from my channel's perspective. April 6 2022: I do a full length review on the cut red. The numbers tested are some of the best I've ever had on the channel. With an amazing value score as well. Quickly becomes a number one favorite of mine as well as others on the channel. August 2023: I start receiving feedback from multiple subscribers and viewers that the cut read is cracking and breaking after one hit. I test a few of the leftovers i saved, but cannot replicate any cracking. December 2023. I still put cut red on this video. But I've still received tons of feedback the newer balls are cracking. I tried to reach out to cut for comment. No response. February 2024. I purchase new cut reds and the durability is horrible. Due to the drop in performance, the cut red is left out of my top 15 of my top 100 countdown. Going forward, there will be a re test with full review done. If they can't figure out the disability issue, it most likely will receive a negative review.
@@GolfBallAddictcrazy thing happened, I had a scuff on one out of the box. Brand new, you could tell it was a manufacturing defect on a few of the balls. I emailed them, and cut said we aren’t offering any help. Won’t be buying those again haha
I typically just shoot whatever I find, and hopefully I find more than I lose. Recently, my stockpile has shrunk to only a few left, so I found on Amazon 75 Kirkland Signature (recovered), which is basically just pond balls cleaned up, for $25. Here' my thing. Let's say I go out and shoot some bargain ball ball and shoot 100. If I had a Pro-V1 instead of the bargain ball, can I expect less strokes, and how many? I'm not convinced that spending $3 a ball will get me under 100. Maybe a pro can take advantage of the performance of a nice ball, but I know I can't. Was it the ball's fault I 3 putted? Was it the ball's fault I shanked one off the tee box and had to hit a provisional? I'm losing strokes because I still blow my swing like I just learned to play yesterday. Until I can hit more consistently, the last thing I am spending any serious money on is balls. These Kirklands are going to be just fine for me, I'm sure.
You are on the right track. I would say half correct. One of the biggest values we have on the channel is how most golfers need a two piece forgiving golf ball, and not these unforgiving tour balls everyone seems to think you "have" to play. So you are 100 percent correct in that part of the analysis. Shanks and three puts are the golfers fault. However, what about the shots you DO hit well? Are they forgiving? Are they compressing? That is the question. My advice for most golfers is to play a very well made 2 piece with forgiveness on miss hits and side spin. The problem i have with the Kirklands, is that they tested horribly. I lost 30 yards with the driver and they spun waaay too much. My advice, once you burn through those, check out my top 10 golf ball list. There are golf balls on there that are an amazing value and could probably shave strokes off your game.
@@GolfBallAddict Cool - I live in NJ but am of of Irish heritage. X points not meant for you - Sorry - bought a lot of the balls you recommended and will be trying some in 2 hours..... Thx and God Bless

As a 9 the most important thing is hitting the fairway. Nice job.

Looks like the Cut site is fully stocked and operating. Also, have you tried the Legato balls? Thanks and best of luck in the new job
Thank you very much. I haven't tried the legato balls but I have seen them. I will test them next year.
I couldn't find a review of the Noodle from you. What do you think of that one?
I do have a review of a noodle. Go to my channel and just search for it it should come up
I had the Srixon soft feel as number 1.
Especially at 15 per dozen. That's an incredible value
Well done! I need this vid LOL
Why no Bridgestone E6 on the list? I like them, they are my fav...
So I do love the Bridgestone e6. However when it comes to value it's actually on the higher end price point wise. I believe for 2024 a dozen of them is around $25. Most golf balls that I give a really good value score that are two pieces are more in the 15 to $20 per dozen range.
Don't get me wrong though, like I said the e6 is a great golf ball and I really enjoy it
Gotta try the Spalding tour. Cheap, durable and feels great.
I've heard that as well. I just had trouble getting a hold of them
@@GolfBallAddict Amazon has them for 20 a dozen and rock bottom has them for 14 a dozen but the shipping is $11. Still not terrible for $2 a ball that's urethane.
Sam’s had the Vice Pro this weekend for $39.98 a 2 dozen pack!!!
That's an incredible deal
Happy to see a new video! Hope the new job is going great!
Thank you. Honestly it's incredible. The culture and people are amazing and the courses are straight out of a painting.
Another ball to try is the Chaos. I believe it is a Wilson product but seems to be a good 2 piece ball at a cheap price.
I will keep that in mind. I've seen those chaoses all over the place so maybe they're worth a review
9:28 if Taylor made put the stripe, they use on the tour response on the soft response ball it would triple their sales I think. It is a great ball
This is an amazing take. I need to reach out to TaylorMade and make it happen.
Have you tried the HONMA TW-S and TW-X balls? Three piece golf balls.
One ionomeer the other urethane, marketed at 85mph driver speed and 95mph+ driver speed.
I haven't tried that yet. I do have one available for testing though I might move it up the list
My local Sam’s Club currently has two dozen Vice Pro balls for $29.91.
That is an amazing deal. Keep in mind those are the 2020 versions, but they still go in the cup all the same.
I’ve been trying to keep that on the down low crazy low price
Vice pro are $39 for TWO dozen at Sam's Club. I've stocked up.
They are. Keep in mind that is the older generation
He just 💩 on your parade
Did you do one on the wilson triad ball? I love that ball. Great video as always.
I did but it needs to be retested. My numbers weren't that good but I've had many people tell me they've had much success with it. Could have been a lemon
The 48 pack of Maxfli Tour (reg or X) for $109.00 plus tax ($2.29 each) is still a really great deal for a really good ball.
It's an incredible deal for a golf ball. I can't wait to test the new 2024 models with my new launch monitor. I hope it does really well
I have played the Cut Red some and found its performance to be good.
What specifically is your swing speed?
@@GolfBallAddict 87 mph on a 7 iron
If you want a two-piece golf ball that is more forgiving and doesn't have as much side spin, I would try the Titleist velocity. If you are looking to go something three piece for more green sign spin, I would definitely try the vice line. The vice pro would probably be perfect for you. You can also try the vice tour if you don't want to spend quite that much money yet.
Also the encore elixir is a fantastic golf ball for that swing speed as well. They are direct to consumer but you can get them for 30 a dozen.
@@GolfBallAddict thank you. 😊
I appreciate you taking the time to help me. Have a great weekend
OnCore elixr and VERO 1x!!!! These are the best value balls I use!!
The potential value for oncore is insane. If you join their membership program, you can get I think up to like 20% off every golf ball order. That makes them even cheaper if you're someone who buys them frequently throughout the year. Loyal customers are definitely rewarded
I am a part of the program. If you have not tried these yet, try them. They are awesome!!!!!
where does kirklands fit into this list? i get them from my costco for 27.99 24ct
I am getting ready to drop a video in the next day or so that will explain why in pretty good detail.
The Srixon Z Star 24 pack for $64.99 is a great deal.
That's an amazing deal. Where did you see that at?
This was interesting and useful. Thank you.
Thank you sir! Always appreciate the love 😃
Which performs better, Cut Red vs. Maxfli Straightfli vs Kirkland?
Cut red wins out in performance, straight fli has better durability, and honestly the Kirkland ball tested terrible for me
I really like the new speedsoft by taylormade...I like the TP5 but just can't see the value and get great results for the speedsoft at half the price at 24 per dozen.
Been waiting on these!!
More to come also. I filmed like three or four already.
@@GolfBallAddict litttttt
What are your thoughts on second hand ball websites? Any value there?
Honestly I would rather people just play a cheaper golf ball. There are a lot of direct to consumer golf balls you can get for $30 a dozen for a three-piece or $15 a dozen for a two-piece. All that perform really well.
My issue with the second handball websites is you don't know what's happened to the golf ball. How many rounds has it been played? Has it been sitting in water? Also a lot of the time they end up being fake.
How about the cut orange?
I haven't had a chance to test the cut matte balls yet. It will be coming soon. I've heard some good things
MAXFLI TRIFLI. I like it better than the tour line or the softfli/straightfli
I heard they made improvements to the 2023 version. I tested the 2022 and wasn't super impressed
Got two dozen for Father's Day - as good as anything else I've been playing.
Haven't tested them yet. Soon though
Anytime I can save money on equipment that can go to greens fees or lessons. But I still like good stuff.
Keeping in the theme of budget, id love to see you review some recycled premium golf balls. This is what i usually do to save money. Kinda curious to see those results.
That's a pretty good idea. I've heard a mixed results so I would love to do an in-depth analysis.
Great video as always !! Thanks !
As always, thank you so much for watching and for the love. 😃
Kirkland Golf Balls are Top 3 Value Golf Balls.. Get 24 Balls for $27.95 at Costco. Very close to the fell of ProV1.
I want to love the Kirkland, however it just tested so bad for me. 😢
Surprised you haven’t tried encore elixir $30 a dozen direct to consumer three-piece urethane cover great golf ball.
I have done two reviews on the oncore elixir. It's a good value, it just didn't test well for me
I think the Spalding SD Tour and Tour X needs more love. Cheap 3 piece balls that have helped improve my game a lot.
I have had quite a few people tell me this. I've looked around for years looking for this ball. It always feels like it's out of stock. I would love to get my hands on one
@@GolfBallAddict they are available via Amazon and other websites. For some reason, they are not available thru Spalding themselves.
They are in stock on Amazon. Could also grab RZN for comparison
just curious........do you maintain a handicap?
Kinda. I have an app on my phone that tells me what it is based on my scores. I'm in the high single digits
Purchase? I haven't bought a golf ball in over 50 years! I find so many and I've been given some on the high school golf team and in scramble tournaments!
Lol nice
I played a local par 3 last week and the lakes were almost empty of water but if I had a lengthy retriever I could have gained about 300 balls from each of about 5 lakes
i must ask, what makes nitro not a golf ball?
They are absolutely a golf ball. I just never have liked them and I don't want to test them. I'm going to though.
You could be right. However the v1x I haven't tested yet. So I am not currently aware of the performance dip. You cannot beat free though.
They are made for tour players who can shape their shots. If your not a low single digit hcp, they will just magnify your unintended fad and draw. I pretty much stopped playing tour balls for that reason and I am a 9hcp.
@@ejd1149 I hit it pretty straight.
The cost of the maxfli tour now is 4dz for 109, 25 dz. Bought 8 dz
At $27 per a dozen. That's an amazing deal. If you're someone who loves the max fly tour golf balls, I can't imagine finding too many better deals than that. Awesome insight! :-)
@@GolfBallAddict just played with them and shot my lowest round by 8 strokes
How about Kirkland by Costco?
Kirkland actually just took the number 1 spot in my "most overrated golf balls" list. After testing the V2 and the V3 last year, I got mediocre results with both.
Wilson Zip?
Underdog! It’s a good little ball for mid to high handicapper folks! And the Kirkland V2 & 3.
Yep. You can get them on Amazon or in most Wal marts.
Test the inesis golf ball
I tested the 900 a couple years ago, excellent ball. Now the new model isn't available in the USA yet. Hopefully they change that
Needed: PV1 spin/drop and stop/wedge check/distance off the tee…..for $20.
Played the Cut Blue, but it did exactly what they say: it cut, scarred, and was otherwise ruined within 3 holes. Kirkland: highly overrated and 10-15 yards shorter off the tee than PV1.
I wish that Cut Blue had a better cover. It would be such an incredible ball.
Aren’t Molitors cheaper (and worse) than Top Flites?
I would assume so, however I'll admit I had to look them up to even see what they were.
right now in Canada the Precept Laddie is 25.97 for 2 dozen ( Canadian ) 19.00 ( USD ) great springtime ball and late fall WILSON ZIP ? really ? interesting cheers all
Anytime a golf ball is under a dollar per ball, it's the best value you can get
My 8 year old hits the Laddie Extreme better than anything else- I think they're 35 compression, if I recall correctly.
I had loved the 50 elites for years, at 24 bucks cad for 24 balls- however, I swing the driver way too fast for it, and the simulator proved that for me. I've used the Bridgestone Tour RS, and recently found the titleist tour speed to be great for me.
A Pro V 1 test may help bring in a new audience for you.
It's definitely on my list to review the new model. I'm thinking about doing a side-by-side with it and the x model since I've never tested the pro V1X.
4:28 the beef you have against Maxfli is a little weird, because every single product on the planet has increased in price.
Why dont u consider Nitro “a golf ball”? What is it then?
Lol it's just smack talk. I will be doing a review of them soon. Just have heard horrendous things from different people.
@@GolfBallAddict oh…and it would be really cool for someone to finally review this ball.
If you take a pinnacle rush and put a titliest label on it, suddenly the ball become fantastic.
If take a pinnacle core and put a urethane cover around it,, man we can sell for $7 per ball..
Lol Don't you love good old marketing?
Is noodle a bad ball? Your review of them is so-so, but it never shows up open these value comparisons. It’s just over $1/ball.
I wouldn't call it a bad ball. It just falls in the middle of the pack
@@GolfBallAddict ok thanks, good to know. Gonna try some of these others on your list. Great vid.
I think they’ve changed their cover. I’ve been playing them a lot 2023-2024. I haven’t cut or split one yet.
👍
Thank you for watching. 😃
There are golf balls on there that are an amazing value and could probably shave strokes off your game.
until you quit losing balls play with whatever you find .
"except for Nitro, I don't consider them a golf ball" 😂
Lol it's the only ball I will legit just throw away. Cannot stand them 😂
Cut golf balls are brutal. I bought cut blue and they shredded after 3 wedges. Horrible. Pretty disappointed you are recommending those.
Definitely didn't recommend the cut blue. I recommended the cut red.
Have you tested Trust balls
I thought Laddie was male and Lassie or Lass was female
I think you are correct.
back in the day, 80/90s they made the Lady, but a bunch of older players liked it so they made a Laddie
FYI...'Laddie" is a boy. "Lassie" is a girl.
👍 thank you
@@GolfBallAddict BTW, really good content.
I guess Sugar Ball didn’t make this year😢
It'll be on a different list
