- I compiled most of the Renegade interrupts i could find in my playthroughs of Mass Effect 3. Some of the most douchebaggery and badass moments come from some of these interrupts and full of spoilers. There's a good chance i missed some so comment below and let me know.
I also did a Mass Effect 2 version below.

It was a regenede option, so she showed you that scene. Heartbreaking yes, I mentally cried. BUT, now you know what happens and what you SHOULD do! SACRIFICE MORDIN IN CURING THE GENOPHAGE INSTEAD.

My first play through I killed Mordin, because Wreav was in charge and I knew he would eventually doom the universe, I immediately regretted my decision and felt very, very guilty. In a way though, it made my experience of the game that much more engrossing
I think she'd probably say "I just did" or "Just watch me" or something badass like that
Killing Wrex? This is so awful. And when it comes to Mordin, this is of one of the saddest things to see..
This isn't true; you can also keep Mordin alive by refusing to recruit Wrex at all in ME1. This gives you Wreav in ME2/ME3.

The saddest part about Mordin's death is that Shep kills him using the gun he gave her at the beginning of ME2. The Carnifex.
No, the saddest part is how Mordin crawls to the console saying "No, not yet" - and then dies right in front of it

I play a full paragon but I had to punch Garrel, that reporter, and gut Kai Leng, but shooting legion (I always make peace), mordin, and wrex, man renegade shep is a cold bastard

Middlefingerstudios1 I am so happy I managed to make peace between the Geth and Quarians. Although to do that you mostly have to be full paragon, and do a ton of stuff for Tali and Legion. Yup

@@chris_vpthe male Shep version of this scene is better. Female Shepard, despite announcing her conviction, has her voice waver a bit like she is unsure. Male Shep sounded so nonchalant about it that it looks like he would attempted to kill the Prothean VI if it said “no” to him again

Sometimes the interrupts are just forceful or aggressive, like when you cut off James. Sometimes they're badass, like telling the Reaper to shut up.
And sometimes you are the unholy hellspawn of Genghis Kahn, Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, Ivan the Terrible, and that one crazy countess who bathed in the blood of teenage girls. Like the people who kill Mordin.

Or telling the salarian dalatrass to shove it over some damn outdated calculated predictions. Killing udina is fine since he did stage the coup don’t know why it’s marked as renegade since he pulled out a gun.

The voice acting of Mark Meer was good but could never reach the intensity of Hale's Femshep in this scene
I had been playing nearly 100% paragon with the same character i made all the way in ME1...but I still chose that option to shank his ass...even though you still do it without the prompt
In the entirety of the series, that was the *only* renegade interrupt I clicked.
Punching Gerrel is also kinda satisfying but Kai Leng's death is still the best. Renegade or Paragon, you still pick it everytime

Good god that renegade scene with Mordin. I could never do that. That's one of the most heart wrenching scenes I've ever watched...Wow.
Gosh, that scene with Legion almost made me cry, and few gaming moments do... Who can be so heartless to do that?
I didn't cry at the end of TWD by Telltale, so that's something.
There's a difference between tears of pain and real tears.
And yes, I played Dark Souls, all 3. Didn't cry :P.
Play Demon's Souls and fight a boss called Astraea.

***** No, because renegade is not uniformly bad, and paragon not uniformly good. I always liked the 'renegade is enlisted, paragon is officer' comparison. Paragon is a nicer human being, but doesn't get the same results, and certainly doesn't connect to a bunch of ground pounders the same way ren-shep does.

Originally the renegade path was someone who wanted to be a bit of a loose cannon, an "ends justify the means" kind of person. Someone who does bad things but for good reasons, a Sheriff in the Wild West. Sort of like Dirty Harry in space.
Obviously that got twisted around in the next two games.
Losing a fight to someone a third of your size in a tight leather skirt is pretty pathetic.
It's Canon that Shepard has combat implants from being an n7 operative
even as a renegade, I avoided doing some renegade options especially in mass effect 3.
Rewatching this after a few years gone by since I last saw of the games, and that "shooting Legion" part hurt physically to watch

Even in my Renegade run, I usually used Paragon options when it came to my crew members. I like to see my Renegade Shepard as someone who gets shit done in the most efficient way possible, but isn't a complete psychopath.
Wrex could have blown you to fucking pieces. He just couldn't believe that you betrayed him.

Honestly, curing the genophage is a guaranteed ticket to another galactic war sometime after Wrex is dead, but I just couldn’t bring myself to kill him or Mordin.

I went full dark side pretty much every time I played KotOR 1&2 years ago, and while there were a couple of decisions that made me slightly uncomfortable (or at least as much as a videogame could), they pale in comparison to killing Mordin, Wrex or Legion.
Shooting Mordin is an ultimate betrayal. I was tempted to stop the cure from happening, but not if it means shooting one of the people who helped me so much, and one who has such good intentions. For me he is the reason many of the Normady's crew is still alive. (using him to escort them in ME2) I ma disagree with him sometimes, if pushed I will lie to him, but to put a bullet in his back? I never even considered that. he already saved more lives than can be counted, the losses that would result from not having the salarians are just a drop in the bucket compared to his work.
Jack Tama the worst thing is that you shoot him with the very weapon you got from his when you recruited him.

I love playing renegade but when i shot Mordin to stop him on Genophage fix, I felt shitty for a looooong time. Great work bioware.

I’ve never seen that scene where you shot mordin. That was completely heartbreaking watching him feebly yet desperately trying to get to the console before he bled out.
If you kill Mordin your truly heartless.
I don’t care how monstrous a playthrough you’re going for, Mordin does not get shot. There’s just some things you don’t do in video games.

that fight with Jamie, " we never neeed that intel, you were doing the same" was intense as fuck, really good writing
its one thing to have shep "finish the job" after tali stabs legion and it's another thing entirely to give you the option to shoot him *three fucking times*.

Maybe the Renegade have a lot of funny and badass moments, but I never like it. Because Shepard here is the ultimate anti hero, who is sacrifice everything for the sake of the mission. Even killing former friends and squadmembers.

This is why I can never play full renegade. In the first two games, renegade actions at least showed Shepard as a more pragmatic individual who wasn't afraid to get his/her hands dirty but also cared for their squad. In this one, Shepard's just a sociopathic asshole.

Not always. Situations like shooting Udina and disarming Kai Leng, those aren't evil actions, they're practical. In Udina's case, you're doing so with intent to save the councillor (and our own dislike for him may factor into play) and attacking Leng in self defense is understandable and even if not in self defence, Leng can have killed up to 3 of your closest allies by this point (and possibly your own lover) and caused the fall of Thessia. In that situation, who wouldn't take the renegade option?
the interrupts like shooting Miranda's father (not shooting Oriana to shoot him) are acceptable, but interrupts like shooting Legion or Wrex are just pure asshole moves

Funny, a renegade prompt appeared with Kai-leng's death. Always kinda felt that should be Paragon honestly, since it IS the right choice.
When I killed the assassin my dialog was different, since I never saw Thane die Miranda herself was killed. So it simple said "That was for Miranda you son of a bitch!" Kai Lang saw what was coming to him to be honest.

The "Someone else might have gotten it wrong" could make sense if Mordin died in ME2 and the other salarian didn't cure the genophage even if he was allowed to.

I was a teen when I first played. I went largely Paragon. Now I'm an Adult, Renegade has it right.
This FemShep looks like a cross between default FemShep and a pug.
Let me put my opinion in perspective:
Betray your friends (Mordin, Wrex, Legion, Ashley, Kaidan)- You deserve to be spaced again.
Let your friends('s species) die (Samara, Tali, Legion)- You deserve to be liquidated by Collectors.
Renegade Kai Leng- I'm gonna call that a paragon interrupt.
A true renegade shepard cures the genophage so she/him have something else to kill once the reapers are gone

ME3 was really hit or miss on these. Some are absolutely badass, some are cold blooded, and some are just plain stupid. Fortunately, the majority fell into the first 2, but some, like with Legion, I was cringing.
I can just hear Mordin's words in my head.... "Not yet.... Not, ready...."
The second kaiden and council encounter...why was I expecting everyone to shoot udina??
