That would be in real life too reckless as a good person, since doesn't matter how good your aim is you can easily kill the hostage (or get her killed). Normally police doesn't do this and for a reason. So I never choose it, since I prefer to play as I would handle in real life.
@@unusveritas4122 in real life you don't get a convenient blue/red option that lets you know there's a strictly better choice as to how to handle the situation.
Mass Effect 2 did Renegade options right. I tended to avoid the renegade options in 1 and 3 since they were so often either asshole or evil decisions, but in 2 I can't help picking renegade options even in Paragon playthroughs.
In my playthroughs, I took the renegade option in maybe 4 or 5 situations. Going full renegade never made sense to me from a story perspective because by the end, Shepherd is such a vicious rude jerk that I can't imagine anyone respecting him let alone liking him.
Mandorle21 most of them are basically choices in which you kill someone before he kills you or someone else. For example, regarding the Asari from eclipse, if you pay attention to the game, they tell you that every single eclipse member has murdered someone, as it's a required thing to do to enter the gang. In fact, later in the game you find a recording In which she laughed about the volus she killed (which was the murder you were investigating) and not choosing the renegade option doesn't mean that you arrest her, but that you let her escape In other words, a LOT of renegade options appear when you face assassins or mercenaries that are willing to kill you, your squad, or civilians so I don't know what's all the fuzz about
Shocking Betrayal no joke will save your life in that mission. let that ass fix the gunner ship and the ship gets full armor when you fight it, Shock the bastard then it has only health and the ship is easier to kill, so it is a necessity in paragon or not.
Mr Paine ohhhh I was wondering why anybody would do that, the first time I saw it I was like "😱😱😱 WHAT THE HECK SHEPARD WHAT'D HE EVER DO TO YOU" but I get it now
I always go to recruit Garrus first (even the first time when I didn't know who Archangel was) because I went to Omega to follow Cerberus' suggestion to recruit Mordin and then realized that Archangel is in more imminent danger with gangs about to tear him apart. If you go in with Miranda (since I always only have Miranda and Jacob at this point), though I assume a different character will take this role if you come with a different squad later on, she suggests various things you can do to improve your odds of coming out on top when saving Archangel. Each of her suggestions corresponds with an action you can perform in the staging ground. First time I did it, I saw the renegade interrupt and drew the connection that the guy was repairing the vehicle and she'd said to sabotage any vehicles they might deploy. I took it, but I was sort of like "Oh wow, really?" because I thought he was just going to throw a wrench in the engine or something, not murder a Blue Sun. We have to keep in mind the Blue Suns aren't all murderers (like Eclipse, which requires members to perform a murder just to get in) and that this guy openly says in the preceding conversation he isn't a fighter, just a repairman for the Blue Suns - which aren't even that bloodthirsty in the first place as much of their crime is smuggling rather than killing. Effectively, yes this guy is a criminal, but only by being an accomplice. That's still bad, but murdering him outright over it? I have typically avoided using that interrupt ever since because it seems to harsh... and it makes a nice little narrative turn because I later have to pay for my bleeding heart with a deadlier aircraft in the final fight. It's one of the more interesting choices the game poses for you in my opinion. Can you bring yourself to outright kill a guy who simply does repairs for smugglers and is sort of shaking his head at how worked up his employers have gotten that they have to kill this Archangel dude... or will you have to pay the price of a much harder fight (and if we think about this from beyond game logic and in the real world, potentially losing and DYING)?
@@petersteiner6595 you should do a playthrough where you recruit Grunt first, he has unique dialogue with Blood Pack during Archangel mission (Zaeed has some with the Blue Suns). Then, taking either Grunt/Garrus, or better, both of them, gives the best dialogue possible for Mordin's recruitment. Grunt can be paired with someone else too, if you want to roleplay (I DON'T GET SICK!) but you miss out on Mordin and Garrus having an exchange on turians working with humans. In fact, most players miss out on best writing because Miranda and Jacob have the most boring, generic lines on Mordin's Dossier assignment.
I dunno, I' a Paragon player myself and don't like most of these, but shooting Conrad in the foot......soo satisfying...... Still lol that in ME3 he apologises for going screwy in ME2 if you were a Paragon (he's bugged to always assume you chose Renegade, even when you used ME1 Paragon save data. Rather than fix the bug, they had Conrad apologise in ME3, saying he was going through a rough patch and wasn't thinking too straight at the time)
Michael F yeah you know Andromeda isn't a bad game but Ryder can't even get close to Shepard. I mean even if you chose the "nice" dialoug options shepards still wekl pretty rude U loved that
I don't think its a bad game just different atmosphere wise. I usually played renegade first as that was the most fun and not being given the option here is disappointing. I mean they could have inserted a few harder options in places like Kadara or Elaaden where people are constantly cursing at you, you should be given the option to shut them up. I know Ryder is no Shepard in this regard but he/she is deadly and combat experienced so to have somebody say "Fuck off" and your reply is "OK" is just weak and Sam tells you not to talk to the mercenaries in Elaaden as he might be dangerous is also an anti climax to that situation. like I said its not a bad game just different, I was disappointed in my first play through but I am not doing a second play through and now that I know what the character is like also with the updates done since I am really enjoying the game.
unlike Sheppard, ryder is a green leaf the only duty he did was guarding a relay in milkyway, while for sheppards past you could have chosen multiple dramatic pasts that involve heavy combat situations one way or the other. This is what sets the atmospehre really a young grasshopper inherits his fathers legacy through sacrifice and must now learn the ropes and build his character in a new galaxy where they were sent with delusional hope. Andromeda really shines this happy go lucky feel.
ME1 actually has a dialogue with Garrus about Dr. Heart, where he explains that krogans like to use testicle transplants in effort to help fertility, the punch line there was that the full set is 4x the price of one ball.)))
I just got how much of threat it was to suggest blinding the batarian. I mean, the threat is bad enough, but the eyes are sacred to batarians and to blind them is of the highest insult.
Bring Jacob to that too, and ask about why was he poisoning people to hear some extra lines. Paragon version is brutal too, you make a bar patron shoot him.
I like how most of the renegade options aren’t like straight up evil in this game. They’re just... impatient, angry and slightly sociopathic. I mean, murder is evil, but ME3’s renegade options were straight up Chaotic Evil.
It sucks for me who is such a big Mass Effect fan it sucks cause i want to play through all the options but the renegade options tend to be so tough to sit through.
Come on. It's not like it's really evil most of the time. It's justified, and falls right into the Spectre expected background. Granted though, some of these are really fucked up. Murdering Mordin, Manipulating Jack into murder, letting Samara die and murder her last daughter, killing Samara and saving Morinth, among others. But the ones shown here ? Real soft for the most part.
N7Raven_ At the end of ME3 I was about 70-80% renegade - I think this was a perfect balance between being badass and not a mindless monster. Being a renegade in first two Mass Effects meant being badass, unlike being a cruel unjustifiable psycho in the third one. I don't know why they designed many ME3 renegade decisions differently.
Narv It is Cerberus effect! After killing 1 million brainless humans who work with Cerberus against Alliance which is trying to save humanity against both Cerberus and Reapers you become a psycho no matter what. I think ME 3 is the worst ME game including Andromeda, ME1>ME2>Andromeda>Saving the galaxy from endless spawns of Cerberus...
The most shocking and the most "incomplete" renegade decision in me2 for me is to choose to chase down the blue suns leader sacrificing lifes of the innocent workers. Choosing so didn't give me satisfying ending and the cutscene was pretty lame. But some of the choices shown here I make every time, like pushing the merc through the window 😈
Piotr Paczuski lol I'm mostly renegade but I can't kill wrex or moridan all the other shit if fair game for me lol my shepard will do whatever it takes
That scene with Vasir was so fucking badass that I forgive Shepard wounding hostage. The line and delivery was pervect! ( They would slap medigel on her and she will be good as new)
I always liked the renegade dialogue when you skip the interrupt. Shepard pushes them against the glass and asks "what sound will you make when you hit the ground? Think you'll hear it before you die?" After that, he tells you where they are and you can flank them.
@@bagpuss121 I dunno, I always play mixed alignment, Mass Effect 2 just didn't reward you for killing people in ME1, usually you had guys like Fist or Helena Blake simply disappear unless you go out of your way to save them, in which case you got funny scenes as a bonus. Ditto with council. Killing them or Wrex doesn't help you in the sequel... Hell, even Balak reappears in 3 and you hear broadcasts of Terra Nova survivors glorifying Shepard. That said, I want to replay the trilogy with killing Wrex in 1 and sabotaging genophage cure in ME3, also maybe wiping out the Geth, definitely will kill heretics next time as that saves a lot of quarian lives.
Kasumi gaming. Killing Balak over saving the hostages is totally the right choice. If you Don't you'll learn in ME3 that Balak has killed a lot of people sabotaging thing.
Personally, I allways prefered a rational mix of those two profiles with favour for paragon. It even confuses and probably scares Aria for a little during Omega DLC mission.
OMG, I wanted to stick it to Aria so much, and the only two ways you can go against her will is helping Patriarch in the way she disapproves (like being a krantt) or during Omega DLC. I made her spare russian guy only to shoot him myself in front of her face.)
not all of these are shocking. in fact even as a paragon i do some of these just to get rid of enemies i would have to kill anyway. that first one with jack was pretty fucked up though.
Why wouldn't one do it? It's got all the right conditions for even a Paragon main: Member of a mercenary group with few/no moral restrictions, benefits you later in the mission, lacks other beneficial options and gives you free renegade points. Anybody who doesn't do it is either challenging themselves or foolish to a suicidal degree! :3
Filip Frymark don’t know if you’re question is hypothetical or are you actually wanting to know: but we all know the reason is is because paragon is way easier to do than renegade, especially in me 1 if you decide to save that feros colony. Paragon just shoots up
The dialogue wheel choices. Dont just look at blue and red. Bottom wheel choices typically give you renegade and the upper wheel choices give paragon. atleast on the right side. Left usually means questions and stuff
Roger Norris I never stopped Garrus from shooting Harkin, I always felt like it wasn't my choice to make, and I liked Garrus too much to ruin his one chance at revenge.
It’s funny how renegade moments come up but you usually have no clue what Shepard is going to do. Some scenes give you a clue of what will happen before you pull the trigger. Other’s go from zero to 100 in 2 seconds
I love how if you don't have enough Paragon or Renegade, Jack will decide to do the exact opposite of what you tell her to do instead of make up her own mind.
Everytime I play a new game of the entire Mass Effect Trilogy, I go 90% to pure Paragon. But damn did that moment with shooting Conrad in the foot feel great.
Some may be justice, but most are excessive use of force. You were made a spector to replace and hunt down a corrupt specter. By going down the renegade path, you too become a corrupt specter making you replacing Saren pointless.
@@wabakin7700 No, it really does not and that is a dangerous mentality to follow. While force may be needed in SOME situations, most situations can easy be solved without force thus it is excessive and not justified, 6:30 especially.
I don't know who this "Shepard" is but he scares me. I'm going to tell the Tempest crew to stay in the Andromeda Galaxy away from this man. He might hack my AI and make it shock me. Oh wait...he's dead anyways. I forgot how long I've been in cryo sleep.
well that depends, you know there is an option to take control of Reapers ... meaning Shepard not only lives, but also is immortal overmind of unstoppable armada ...
I know you pinned it, but the Asari is anything but defenseless. Even IF you want to operate under the assumption you don't 'find out' that she was the murderer until after the scene with Elnora, it's made pretty clear by no less than 2 other codex entries/datapads before that scene that to even get the Eclipse armor you have to kill someone. Though, I guess some people may have missed it or not put it together, it's still pretty obvious she killed SOMEONE. Her lying about it is just suspect haha
Where's the "I am a Specter, start talking" option from the Interrogation. It's just hilarious and Thane saying "That may go as the shortest interrogation ever" afterwards is priceless.
I like how the one Krogan dies from getting set on fire, While Grunt highjacked a car that was on fire, drove it into a noodle shop, and got sprayed with riot foam, all while on fire. One Krogan died, The other just sat down and ordered some noodles.
I’ve been playing this game for the last eight years, and jeez, this video really puts into light how dark it is. The locations are dirty and dim, the music is thickly ambient, and the content is mature. All the more reason why it’s my favorite. Nothing huge and outlandish at stake. Just a man and his team doing their thing.
@@KasumiRINA Aren't they basically mercenaries/criminals though? Which would be in the realm of an "irregular". Also, we all know how deadly engineers can be in the world of Mass Effect, I'd hardly consider him a non-combatant. If he was a civie then yeah, but he is wearing the Blue Suns uniform.
There is a difference between being a battle-hardened soldier and a monotonous robot. I can understand keeping your cool and having a hard exterior on the battlefield, but you'd think that Male Shep could show just a little emotion during romance scenes instead of appearing uncaring towards his significant other. What you are saying also suggests that all the other soldiers in other games/movies that show as much emotion as Femshep are due to overacting, and I think that is not the case.
I like my characters to feel like actual personalities instead of monotonous robots tbh. I wouldnt mind him being stoic and all but then he drops a sexual innuendo and sounds just as bored as always.
#7 reminds me of my very first playthrough where a friend saw me shooting the guy and asked "Didn't you want to be a good guy?" and I just answered "He was about to betray me."
Honestly, the paragon option with the reporter in this game is so much more satisfying, and puts Shepard in a way better light. Punching her just makes you look guilty, but if you choose the Paragon path you prove you know exactly what sacrifices the Alliance made, and that you never take that for granted.
I actually DID wound the hostage Tela Vasir was cowering behind. do I regret it inflicting harm to that hostage? yes. my only reason of doing it was because I, not only, wanted to shut that corrupt spectre's mouth, but I wanted to wipe that smug grin off her face.
And that kids is why you always leave room for the renegade options, those are just simply some of the best decisions you can make in the game. Be the good guy, not the nice guy.
I regretted letting go the Asari from the Eclipse mercs after I remembered they got their uniform after murdering someone. Then I heard her voice recording that she was the one who killed the volus' partner. I have to restart and kill her, even though I was doing a Paragon playthrough. I mean, it feels like a right thing to do, instead of letting her fly into deep space.
My Shepard is as Paragon as they come, but even he did some of these. (Namely the Shocking Betrayal, the Stealing Babies, Window scene, the Interrogation scene, Killing Krogans and killing more Krogans) Basically, if you've crossed Shepard, or been in bed with the bad guys, no mercy.
Honestly the "shocking betrayal" actually has the benefit of making the airship "boss" at the end of Garrus's recruiting mission easier to kill because it will have lower health.
I suppose "defenseless" should be in quotes for the Asari entry ;)

That would be in real life too reckless as a good person, since doesn't matter how good your aim is you can easily kill the hostage (or get her killed). Normally police doesn't do this and for a reason. So I never choose it, since I prefer to play as I would handle in real life.
@@unusveritas4122 in real life you don't get a convenient blue/red option that lets you know there's a strictly better choice as to how to handle the situation.
I love the intimidate option where shepard trashtalks the asari 😂
Is there another way to play?
Killing Wrex both times, letting Samara die then killing her child, and killing Mordin are high up there too.
I actually felt bad at work the day after killing Mordin.
no samara can die in ME2....just choose her daughter over the justicar
And leaving David archer with Cerberus.
You can’t kill Wrex both times
Those aren't in ME2...
And here I was, thinkin that ME2 would not have any scenes left that I had not seen befor, but... You can shoot at Grunt? Well, that's new!
Somehow, Renegade choices make more sense when dealing with Krogan. They'll take it as a sign of dominance.
vlad saioc Kinky.
vlad saioc thats in their nature. They respect you more if you have the balls to take them on
The Unknown like headbutting them
slug miester exactly!
11. she was a murderer. she passed the initiation.
Culprit to the ongoing investigation of all things, and you're clued in. I still kept her alive and put up a warrant.
I always play full paragon but i still do 75% of those things, they just seem like the rigth thing
Mass Effect 2 did Renegade options right. I tended to avoid the renegade options in 1 and 3 since they were so often either asshole or evil decisions, but in 2 I can't help picking renegade options even in Paragon playthroughs.
Mass Effect 2 renegade is Badass
In my playthroughs, I took the renegade option in maybe 4 or 5 situations. Going full renegade never made sense to me from a story perspective because by the end, Shepherd is such a vicious rude jerk that I can't imagine anyone respecting him let alone liking him.
Not a true paragon then, you're evil even in real life if you think 75% of those things were right.
Mandorle21 most of them are basically choices in which you kill someone before he kills you or someone else. For example, regarding the Asari from eclipse, if you pay attention to the game, they tell you that every single eclipse member has murdered someone, as it's a required thing to do to enter the gang. In fact, later in the game you find a recording In which she laughed about the volus she killed (which was the murder you were investigating) and not choosing the renegade option doesn't mean that you arrest her, but that you let her escape
In other words, a LOT of renegade options appear when you face assassins or mercenaries that are willing to kill you, your squad, or civilians so I don't know what's all the fuzz about
Shocking Betrayal no joke will save your life in that mission. let that ass fix the gunner ship and the ship gets full armor when you fight it, Shock the bastard then it has only health and the ship is easier to kill, so it is a necessity in paragon or not.
Mr Paine ohhhh I was wondering why anybody would do that, the first time I saw it I was like "😱😱😱 WHAT THE HECK SHEPARD WHAT'D HE EVER DO TO YOU" but I get it now
Mr Paine I agree I always did that one. Besides the "You're working too hard" line is so badass
But it did leave the guy shocked
Hostage: Ah! My arm!
Shepard: BUT DID YOU DIE??
😂😂😂 “YOU’LL LIVE”
You're working too hard
Waylon Jones that guy was so shocked that he did that.
Let's be honest here, didn't we all take that fuckin' interrupt? That guy was an asshole.
And I was on paragon playthrough.
Zefram Cochrane Yes. Him and that Admiral in 3.
Michael Relaford Which one was that? I'm blanking, I tend to like suppressing all memory that ME3 and Andromeda ever even happened.
Zefram Cochrane the admiral of the heavy fleet. He shoots at the Geth Dreadnaught while you're still onboard.
Good , tho that defenseless Asari in part 11 is in fact a killer and murderer...so you'll do a good job by killing her
sadegh Dark also wasn't defenseless.
The second she reached for her gun, I shot her without hesitation. For me, It's a natural instinct when dealing with people like her...
A recording you can find later confirms her as a killer.
Exactly, that why I like Mass Effect 2, it sometimes did punish you for being too much Paragon. Mass Effect 1 and 3 pretty much built for Paragon only
As a paragon player through and through I struggled to watch this.
Offworlder1 i know but i do some evil just because its funny to do. Like sabotaging that gun ship.
Coldboy33 same here
I did some of these options. And I felt like a complete shithead after most of them...MOST OF THEM.
Rather than fix the bug, they had Conrad apologise in ME3, saying he was going through a rough patch and wasn't thinking too straight at the time)
vc180191 same here. I only do the evil. One's when i am dealing with the blue sun. Or another enemies. Or that bartender from omag
AHHHH MY FOOTTTT!!!YOU SHOT MY FOOTTTTT!!!
cadenstew2002 That was more hilarious than shocking
But kicking his balls is much more funny than shooting him
Nooooo..... did I?
(Fucking groupies.....) :3
N7Raven_ If you ask him he admits that his armor is fake.
He was so dramatic 🤣🤣🤣
Always paragon but I still do the shocking one, it's just strategic sense
Alexander Romanov
Same, though I do also punch the reporter. She is a bitch, even more so than Ashley
zach e why punch the reporter? She's a bitch, but if you go around punching every bitch you see you'd probably be in prison.

I killed the krogans (Tuchanka).
Many less enemy to fight. Easier to go on

These are the kind of options that I really missed in Andromeda
Andromeda is objectively terrible.
IMO andromeda was one of the worst games I've ever played.
Shepard: "It´s okay, we´ll handle it...................the usual way"
Everyone else: "Oh f**k......"
Who else was expecting him to just shoot them both
Your squadmates shooting that Asari with you is just overkill
And? In reality she pulled a gun on you and pulled the trigger (yay shields) so you are in the clear to use deadly force.
She killed a Volus if that makes you feel better.
I was like “Damn!” Lit the hell up
"Cut off your balls and sell them to a Krogan." Hahaha
ME1 actually has a dialogue with Garrus about Dr. Heart, where he explains that krogans like to use testicle transplants in effort to help fertility, the punch line there was that the full set is 4x the price of one ball.)))
The renegade speech in Tali's loyalty mission is my favorite renegade moment.
5:01 Shep: so how do you wanna go down, express or coach?
Merc: ive got nothing more to say to you
5:07 Shep: express it is then!
(*EPIC ZOOM IN*) "I'm a Spectre too!" There should be an explosion in the background
I like how most of the renegade options aren’t like straight up evil in this game. They’re just... impatient, angry and slightly sociopathic.
I mean, murder is evil, but ME3’s renegade options were straight up Chaotic Evil.
I'm the "Good Guy" LOLOLOLOLOL
"A bullet in the head solves everything."
Renegade Shep is Chaotic Evil
Narv
It is Cerberus effect!
( They would slap medigel on her and she will be good as new)
PolesAreEverywhere that's what I thought. He may have just sounded a hostage, but that line, "you forgot one thing. I'm a spectre too..."
Was that like a dlc or something?
@@emigdiogalvan4816 Shadow Broker

varthelm satan is it you?
Corsades - nope :)
varthelm you realize this is a completely different game right? >.>

Alexander Romanov and the shocking betrayal too
I never did it. That's too bad 😢
I always liked the renegade dialogue when you skip the interrupt. Shepard pushes them against the glass and asks "what sound will you make when you hit the ground? Think you'll hear it before you die?" After that, he tells you where they are and you can flank them.
I can't ever bring myself to be full Renegade. There are some moments that call for a Renegade action, but I just can't go whole hog on it.
You Have To Do At Least 1 Full Playthough As A Renegade To Get The Best Experience .
@@bagpuss121No. You need to go paragade to get the best experience xD. Renegade just isn't shepard for me.
Kasumi gaming. Killing Balak over saving the hostages is totally the right choice. If you Don't you'll learn in ME3 that Balak has killed a lot of people sabotaging thing.
@@hapdf hes also the last senior officers in the batarian navy. So If you kill him his people end of leaderless.
6:47 "defenseless" is a strong word there she does draw a gun on you and later you learn she brutally murdered a volus so...
Love the part when the Krogan says see a human cant even hit a simple target and you see the one behind him back away
I miss Shepard. Was the best character
Shepard is a legend
Not really lol.
That shocking betrayal is so useful on insanity, save you half the fight.
So much fun playing renegade. Shocking betrayal definitely a personal favourite. #renegade4lyf
I just have to do it, even on my paragon playthrus!
Iron Fox Same
Why wouldn't one do it? It's got all the right conditions for even a Paragon main:
Member of a mercenary group with few/no moral restrictions, benefits you later in the mission, lacks other beneficial options and gives you free renegade points.
Anybody who doesn't do it is either challenging themselves or foolish to a suicidal degree! :3
I love the dude backing up out of the blast radius at 7:25
Man, how is this possible that i did 80% of this and finished the game with paragon.
Left usually means questions and stuff
i dont know what happens if u dont do the renegade interupt for most of these
Same , renegade interrupts are the best
if you stop garrus from shooting harkin garrus then will head butt him
I've always played paragon femshep and renegade maleshep just to see different actions and romances, testament to how well Bioware made these games
Roger Norris I never stopped Garrus from shooting Harkin, I always felt like it wasn't my choice to make, and I liked Garrus too much to ruin his one chance at revenge.
Most of them just let the characters keep talking if you don't interrupt them. Sometimes you even get a chance to do paragon instead, and vice versa.

Always renegade. Nothing shocking there, just good old justice
Some may be justice, but most are excessive use of force. You were made a spector to replace and hunt down a corrupt specter. By going down the renegade path, you too become a corrupt specter making you replacing Saren pointless.
There's a vast difference between excessive use of force and betraying all organic life.

@@TheZombiesAreComing no the end justifys the means, always
@@wabakin7700 No, it really does not and that is a dangerous mentality to follow. While force may be needed in SOME situations, most situations can easy be solved without force thus it is excessive and not justified, 6:30 especially.

"Thats why you never should disable your ME shields at any time"
I don't know who this "Shepard" is but he scares me. I'm going to tell the Tempest crew to stay in the Andromeda Galaxy away from this man. He might hack my AI and make it shock me. Oh wait...he's dead anyways. I forgot how long I've been in cryo sleep.
well that depends, you know there is an option to take control of Reapers ... meaning Shepard not only lives, but also is immortal overmind of unstoppable armada ...
you are a bitch compared to Shep, ryder
The first scene was basically a more fucked up version of Palpatine manipulating Anakin into killing Dooku
The most fucked up thing you can do is tell someone their store isn't your favorite shop on the Citadel.
Where's the "I am a Specter, start talking" option from the Interrogation. It's just hilarious and Thane saying "That may go as the shortest interrogation ever" afterwards is priceless.
I like how the one Krogan dies from getting set on fire,
While Grunt highjacked a car that was on fire, drove it into a noodle shop, and got sprayed with riot foam, all while on fire.
One Krogan died, The other just sat down and ordered some noodles.
Number four is truly the most SHOCKING of all heheh
I’ve been playing this game for the last eight years, and jeez, this video really puts into light how dark it is. The locations are dirty and dim, the music is thickly ambient, and the content is mature. All the more reason why it’s my favorite. Nothing huge and outlandish at stake. Just a man and his team doing their thing.
2:45 even when I'm playing paragon I take that one.
The Moa Goddess same
I love Shepard's tone after shooting Conrad.
It's like he was talking to a puppy
I see nothing wrong with showing a batarian with an electrical thingy.
Same goes with shooting the gas pipe under the definitely unfriendly krogan. It's just seems like the exact way they do things on Tuchanka.
Actually, on Tuchanka, they just shoot them in the face.
That batarian is a non-combatant, he makes it quite clear, and killing unarmed mechanics is a war crime. Even if they work for enemy.

#1 Most Shocking Renegade Moment: Not hugging Tali.
I said what i said.
After playing femshep for so long, I just can't stand the lack of emotion in maleshep's voice (although it kinda suites if you're a renegade).
I always loved it as Paragon MaleShep's only flaw/weakness he's emotionally stunted and doesn't do people and this all comes to a head in ME3: Citadel
Eccentric Apples Shepard is a soldier, they shouldn't be emotional. Jennifer Hale is overacting.
I prefer master chief type of characters, which maleshep is close enough that it doesn't bug me that much.
#7 reminds me of my very first playthrough where a friend saw me shooting the guy and asked "Didn't you want to be a good guy?" and I just answered "He was about to betray me."
Mariana: Ahhh!! My Arm!!
Shepard: You'll live.
I guess it's a Terminator 2 reference when the T800 is told to not kill anyone and few moments after he shots someone in the leg and says "he"ll live"
@@baronnuuke7821 I was more reminded of "Speed".
7:17 I’ve heard dying by fire is the worst way to die.... damn...

Honestly, the paragon option with the reporter in this game is so much more satisfying, and puts Shepard in a way better light. Punching her just makes you look guilty, but if you choose the Paragon path you prove you know exactly what sacrifices the Alliance made, and that you never take that for granted.
"But you forget something, Vasir. I'm a Spectre too.*

I love ME2 renegade. He's hilarious and good damn badass, like he's totally not to fuck with.
"A bullet in the head solves everything". Damn, i didn't know i was playing as Stalin.
If you keep punching the reporter throughout the series, she'll kungfu fight you in ME3
Shooting Grunt is so wrong, he's just a baby
8:55 imagine this today ROFL
Wow, makes it seem like Shepard's in the Terran Empire and not the Alliance!
The right way to play the game.
Most shocking moment to me is if you decline the option to return Wrex's broshake on Tuchanka. Unfathomable.
11.) To be fair, It looked like she was going to shoot me so, I shot first. and she murdered the volus so.. win win i guess.
Some renegade actions are necessary even when going a paragon run. Like punching a quarian admiral who tried to kill you.

You will never convince me renegade shepherd isn't canon.
Mass effect 2 is definitely my favorite in the trilogy.
