These guys were probably the first successful test subject(s) for the digistructed people thing and they probably didn’t want to pay someone the whole “licensing fee for using you to make an army of clones” for a high profile soldier.
I have a feeling that Anthony Burch wrote mostly for the soldiers than he did for the rest of the characters. And the other writers just wrote for the other soulless “main characters”.
Lol they did that in the Claptrap Robolution dlc with the Hyperion Soldier-traps. They say stuff like "Thank you, my I have some more?" when they are shot. Pretty sure they are being tortured by the claptrap virus but whatever.
i was honestly kinda disappointed that tediore and vladof were both absent from 3, it seemed perfect with jakobs, atlas, and having had hyperion the previous game
The slick AF armor and the gun minibots with AI make them sounds like a super high tech scifi army instead of the discount brand they're meant to be lol

Always wanted to see more tediore, especially with how seemingly every other manufacturer in lore shits on them for being "cheap and mass-produced," despite the hard come-back in the design philosophy for them in borderlands 3, which made some of the legendaries from tediore top tier over some others. Every one of these guards are rolling up in purple tier tediore gear at the minimum going by the designs. Except that candle. Thats green tier.
I love how the “best of” list for these guys is basically 90% of there appearances in the game
