I’ve been doing nothing but researching the best pen style machines forever, and would love to get a power wand or the acus, but hot damn they are so expensive, and I’ve been trying to save so I can get the next model of the iPad Pro after the M4 versions. Looks can be deceiving ;) The guts and engineering matter. Please run a voltage accuracy meter from any other battery vendor and compare to Critical. We are obsessed with accuracy down to the small details.

Made it more affordable since they didn’t go with the Faulhaber motor and direct drive system. Lost me at swashplate. Just too much of a bad history with them breaking and/or wearing out. Maybe they can prove it to be a viable option with this pen. Certainly should be a more affordable option for people not wanting to fork out a grand for a pen style machine.

@@adamdarklordyeah if it were a Faulhaber motor, they would’ve said it. lol. Ones like the microangelo used Swiss maxon motors. Which I also think they would’ve said. Because those are probably the two we’re most familiar with for performance and reliability. Not mentioning it, reducing costs, and that swashplate and transmission piece all sound like outsourced China parts to me. Which I can’t completely dismiss because my peak solice and Kyan have been running forever and they're China made. 🤷🏼♂️

I’m spending hard earned money, I tattoo 3-4 clients a week on average, I’m building my career RN. That said I feel like I don’t know what to invest in..I want your honest opinion what to put $ towards/invest in..what machine set up? The EZ Turbo looks good but battery life is important to me.. The Prime pen looks sick but I’m concerned w the swash plate u dis on a lot but this on is “Great”? I’ve been tattooing with a TF pen 3.5mm stoke w fixed swash plate for a year no issues.. Or save $ n invest in Acus?? Love that sounds like good investment also due to all the interchangeable parts/good design.. So what to spend $ at my point in my career? What would you do? If you’re used to a swash plate machine then the prime is awesome. The prime actually has lots of power for a swash plate machine I’m very impressed! It’s the best swash plate machine I’ve used. With the Turbo you can tattoo like half the day then just plug it in take a lunch brake and then it should last the other half of the day. If you almost have enough for the Acus saved up I’d definitely get that! It’s the last machine you’ll ever have to buy 🔥

I am curious as to how the expo went with this pen machine….i gave like 625.00 or a lil more for my wand liner only because there was a deal for a shorty battery from critical for free. I use it with all my other machines too. So i hope the price of this pen will be around 500.00 that would be a good starting point for just the machine if it is going to be marketed as a budget bishop …or torque or whatever. Yes please do comparison vid. Of the three wands. I would watch and like of course. Adam is the best on here anymore everybody else just fell off or something.

The M1 is still my top spot because the M modes, battery cells, and buttons and display on top! I’m doing more testing but I might like this more than the Torque. I think the swash plate makes it hit the skin softer so it doesn’t damage the skin as much. 🤔
I wish they went with one machine with swappable plates inside it to adjust the stroke. That way if you had an issue with the plate you could just order more plates! It’s hard to say so far, I’m surprised I’ve had no issues with the swash plate. It’s actually been feeling very good to use but of course the plate would have to ware out at some point 🤷♂️

@@ShadowCasterTattoo lining is where it’s not crazy powerful you definitely have to move your hand slower for that. With the type of work I do I use a liner maybe once a month lol It’s best with 9 liners or smaller and works best for shading and color blending.

If you already have the Torque or Wand, we recommend sticking to them. The Prime Pen is designed more for those just getting into tattooing or pen style machines nor those that like finer lines and shading. It hits slightly softer whereas those that use the Torque have quicker hand speed and prefer more power/torque.

The prime you can upgrade to the V3 battery. The Turbo you can change stroke length… I think the Turbo hits the skin harder if that’s something you prefer. 🤔 They are both very amazing especially with the price points on them, I see why it’s a hard pick! Get them both lol

4.2 because as a new artist you’re going to be focusing on line work and solid fill. This machine is soft so you’re going to want the 4.2 no matter what for that extra strength

Don't knock premium brushed motors. This is a custom motor made in Japan (not China) by Namiki and has better durability compared to brushless motors from China. We are nerds and run crazy cycle tests. This is the same motor used by the Bishop V6 Capo with many having gone 5+ years with no issues.
I’ve used the Fk Irons Max “brushless” and the Fk One “brushed“, Max for two years, One for 1 year. They’re identical, if the motor is of quality you literally can’t tell the difference.
I just bought the ez pro turbo because of your review . It seems to be good but ultimately I want to get the acus m1 but I’ve only been tattooing for like 8 months .
I love the Turbo machine it’s probably the best starter machine at its price point! The Acus M1 is still my main machine though when I’m not testing other machines.

BUT both machines are good for everything!! Machines are starting to get both cheap and good and that’s what im so excited

Don't knock premium brushed motors. This is a custom motor made in Japan (not China) by Namiki and has better durability compared to brushless motors from China. We are nerds and run crazy cycle tests. This is the same motor used by the Bishop V6 Capo with many having gone 5+ years with no issues.

I’ve used the Fk Irons Max “brushless” and the Fk One “brushed“, Max for two years, One for 1 year.
They’re identical, if the motor is of quality you literally can’t tell the difference.
I just bought the ez pro turbo because of your review . It seems to be good but ultimately I want to get the acus m1 but I’ve only been tattooing for like 8 months .
I love the Turbo machine it’s probably the best starter machine at its price point!
The Acus M1 is still my main machine though when I’m not testing other machines.
What do you do with all the machines you test and decide to ultimately not use ?

@@adamdarklord seems like a awesome job . Is the review thing with TH-cam a source of income ? Or you doing a lot of tattoos too ? Genuinely curious? I want to do tattoos just don’t know if I’m any good so until then I’ll keep ruining my skin or whatever. I think they are solid tattoos but not like some of these people banging out huge ridiculous fully saturated tattoos in 4-5 hours !
What I do just start videoing myself everyday in this new tattoo journey and post it tomorrow ? Post it to anything and make sure to upload something every single day ?
