I love the design and thought that was put into the bag. Also your down to earth marketing is nice. I appreciate the functional approach, it's very consistent with your brand. Cannot wait to get my hands on the sling one day! Your backpack too, honestly.
Thanks for the kind words! We definitely focus quite a bit on functionality so glad that it is also coming through in our content. We have more products in the works so stay tuned!
Just saw the review on Nomad Nation, as well as your vid's here. Really well thought out product design. Possible future update - add a top grab handle. Still going to purchase though, this will be so useful as expanded EDC use.
Just got the sling and can confirm a steam deck with a slim case can fit inside. Just in case some are wondering. Wish there was an optional strap to convert the sling to a chest rig seeing to where the attachment points are located😅
I just realized, your logo ressembles an 'R' at first glance, ok sure it's for the first letter of your company. Then i looked closely, it's actually an arrow doing a u-turn signifying "rework" -- i just found that to be clever. And it even shows from your product design, I'll keep you guys in my short list from now on. Good luck and hope to see more and buy good products from you soon!
Hahaha yes good catch! That was intentional and we spent some time trying to figure out how the arrow should look so it resembles the R. The Rework ethos is something we uphold in our designs, and we come from a place of not wanting to change what works, just reworking parts that don’t work.
In software development, we call that "refactoring" where we restructure code but maintain its original functionality. I agree with not having to reinvent the wheel all the time, sometimes you just got to stand on another giant's shoulders and innovate on what is already a "good product." This got me excited to new possibilities with sling bag.
Enjoyed your thoughtful and methodical approach to this design. i I like the overall minimalist design. The only thing i would suggest is maybe a hi vis bright, fluorescent color for the interior.
Greetings from Japan! Will you be looking at releasing the Toshi in other colors or materials? Fantastic sling with all the features I'm looking for! 😊
@@POPOPOKETAN Hi 👋 We do want to release more colors and fabric variants in the future. Right now, we will have to save up for it but hopefully it can come soon!
@@ReworkGear Thanks for the reply! Will order in black. I really like your thought process as well as the diligent timing you took in planning and executing your sling. Looking forward to more products in the future too!
Will y'all be launching in singapore? I would love to get one. This has literally every feature that I've wanted in my sling, coming from a tomtom t21.
@@whyamisick We really want to have our products stocked at local retailers one day, but right now we’re not there yet! That said, we do have pretty good shipping rates to Singapore, if you want to check it out on our website. Let us know how else we can help you!
Are there any plans on making an X-Pac version? And just wondering how much of a lint magnet is the material? Had a Black Ember one before and one of the fabrics they used was a lint magnet, but they fixed it with a new version
We do have plans for technical fabrics, though not anytime soon as we are prioritizing our cash flow for other products that we have planned. The 420D recycled nylon that we are using has a slick and smooth finish, so it does not latch onto lint and dust as a more textured finish would. Makes it easy to wipe clean as well! Hope that answer your question!
Hey! How does it withstand Singapore weather? Currently most of my bags wears out quickly (cracked exteriors, sagging suspended pockets) due to probably the humidity here.
Hey there! Generally we do think the sling should last for quite awhile. In terms of exterior fabric, there is no exterior PU/ rubbery coatings so cracking is a non issue. We are also not using aqua guards zippers which are prone to cracking/peeling over time, especially in more humid climates. As for the suspended pockets, as long as the pockets are not stretched out to the maximum constantly, we don’t think that it will sag over time. We have been using our prototype variant for some time now and the mesh sleeve pockets still perform nicely. Hope that helps!
I'm interested in purchasing the Toshi Sling 5L, but I encountered a warning message when trying to access your website. It stated that your site does not have an SSL certificate, making it unsafe to use. Could you please look into this? It's disappointing that, despite having a great range of products, your platform lacks the necessary security for customers to make purchases safely. BTW, I have also sent you a message via FB but no reply from you so far. Look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks!
@@babyface010 Hi there! So sorry we missed your message! Basically our DNS has been affected by something and we’ve been trying different things to see what will resolve it. Today, we did something that I’m really hoping will work. If you don’t mind, can you try and see if you can access the site now? And you might have to clear your cache on your browser too, since it might still have the old cache settings on it.
How concerned should i be with the durability of this DWR coating? How long does it lose it's effectiveness realistically? What I read about it: C0 DWR finishes are typically less durable than other DWR finishes, such as C6 and C8, and will need to be reapplied or replaced more often.
@@j0404t Great timing! We just released a new YT video talking through how we upkeep the water resistance of our bags, demo on the Toshi Sling 5L. We chose C0 because it’s PFAS-free, and PFAS can be pretty toxic to the environment. C6 is not PFAS free, though yes it does last longer. Hence we recommend you maintain the surface water repellency on your own based on how your usage goes. Check out our latest video!

Subed and waiting for colors!❤
All it needs is a handle in my opinion. I love reaching for my gear with the handle available.
