- It's release day for the LEGO May the 4th sets and promos. I hit the LEGO store early but found one set already sold out. Join me on my hunt for LEGO and my attempt to score all 3 Star Wars gifts with purchase.

Love how organized your storage unit is! We boxed our lego in moving boxes or in plastic tubs to protect them. I prefer the clear plastic tubs so i can see what I've got. We have an outdoor storage unit, which is cheaper, but the dust is awful. Indoor is the way to go. Enjoyed the shopping trip with you.
I hate packing stuff to move. But on the other hand I really do enjoy starting from scratch for new layouts and designs. May the 4th be with you

My Harry Potter collection takes up only 2 short shelves and a spot on the wall for the autographed poster. You have a whole room! You have the most understanding wife!
Keep the boxes for the most expensive sets.
Definitely cover your Lego in storage. Large trash bags and up off the floor! You never know when some dum dum will set off the sprinkler system or spill something near your unit. 👍

I keep most my boxes flattened. Even flattened I'm running out of space for them.
I’m starting a new job, and I think a Lego orchid would be perfect for my desk. I just have to save up!

As @margio1152 mentioned already: I have limited space for the boxes and we have flattened them and bought huge plastic tubs to store them in.
My Wedding. Anniversary is May 4. So I get teased a lot but we got married in 1991 before it was a thing enjoying the Lego content❤️❤️😊
My empty’s I flat pack them. They take up considerably less space broken down flat.
You can flatten the boxes and store them easier. It’s better than throwing them away.
I mean BrickLink sells boxes…
Before I finished the video I was like Tony is Killing me lol, Lego Store, Costco, and IKEA! I live in Charleston, WV I don’t have any of them. I have to drive to Columbus, OH which is a little bit under 3 hours to get to all three. I frequent Sam’s Club here but the Costco cafe looks better with options. The giant IKEA bags is genius for the Lego move which I’m doing on Friday to a storage unit as well. I have a bunch but not the big ones. The troop carrier looks nice I’m glad I got one. Lego went to Blind boxes from bags. I use to spend a lot of time in stores feeling the bags for identifying parts to not get duplicates. If I want a series of Minifigs now, I just order a set from a dealer on EBay now.
Personal I do recycle all the boxes and I only keep the manuals
Wish you luck on the move and the dilemma of what boxes to keep. By the way, that isn't officially a fancy robot dog dish, it's the Retro Space Heroine's skirt. It is a bit tricky to see in the instructions.

If you can use the boxes in your displays, keep them. Perhaps you can use them to display completed items on different levels on your shelves.
Keep the boxes - sets with boxes in tact are more valuable.

Keep all the instructions of how to put the things back together if they happen to fall apart. I kept all my boys Lego books
Happy May 1st and early Star Wars day! I stayed up till 4am trying to get my order through. The website was crashing and I just ended up giving up. I woke back up at 8am and called customer service and they helped me put my orders through. I got all the promos including the ones online. Those being the 25th anniversary art print and coin. Super happy I got everything I wanted! I actually found out that the art print promo online is already sold out. Absolutely crazy! I saw someone on eBay selling it for $100
Wow! $100 already! Way to go getting all your stuff.
@@locabricks Yea! That was crazy seeing someone charge $100 for it. Although I’m not surprised since it was a limited edition item and only had a certain amount of them available. I’m just glad I was able to secure mine. Did you order anything online and secure the art print and coin or no?

Most collectibles have more value if you still have the original box. Depends on if you plan to sell them someday or just keep them yourself. What Lego set is on your wish list?
I thought I had a problem. You have a lot more than I do.
Don't throw the boxes away. That's part of the resale value. We flatten them and put them in the basement.
I would hold on to the M/T Boxes just incase You want to Sell
or They become Valuble or Collector Items,, .. But Serious Tony

I keep spare parts and manuals, but boxes go to recycle.

Hi Tony maybe keep the front cover from the boxes with the instructions and recycle the rest of the box. One question do you keep all the extra parts that you have left over?
I do keep all the extra pieces.
I do as well in a zip lock bag with the instructions.
There was a youtube today about someone who had $11K of lego stolen from their storage spot! Their insurance wouldn't accept pictures of the sets, only receipts.
Yeah. We are mostly a get rid of the box kind of family. We just don't have the room. My kid did keep the boxes for his trains just because we don't have room to keep it out and running all the time so he has to break down the track when not playing.

I have thought about keeping the boxes flattened down for the expensive collectors sets. I have seen them on sale on Ebay just for the box. So like the Titanic or the Daily Bugle I would keep flat in your closet if you can.
