An Odd LEGO Release Day

- July LEGO Release Day 2024 hit without many new set to offer, but that doesn't mean I didn't hit the LEGO store to check it out. Along with my first time LEGO release day kids, I shopped for LEGO at the LEGO store, Costco and Brick and Minifigs. Check out our LEGO release day haul.
Have you ever been to a LEGO release day? Did you get any new LEGO on July 1st?

I went the day before today oblivious. First time in a Lego store. I grew up gen x getting legos either in a happy meal or playing with them at the doctors office. Now as a teacher on break for the first time I am getting into building and just being creative. I just left target after seeing your video of searching and I got the slushy truck which I’ve been eyeing. And the camper van. I’m so happy. Thanks!

Love the Target share. Did pick of a few sets. Love that your children are involved on Lego also.
Just read that the West Coast LEGO theft ringleaders have apparently been captured. The thieves would steal the sets and then allegedly sell them to a toy store owner under his direction at way below retail.
Yeah this release day was a buy online thing for me. There was nothing I needed immediately.
Stopped by T's casa . . . picked up one of his builds . . . he said . . . 'let go of my LEGO' . . . I was quickly put in my place by his clever use of a marketing slogan.
FYI "Repackage" clearance typically is just clearance. its just the sticker thats printed out. We typically will damage out returned lego, a lot of return fraud. source: I used to work at a target.

When shopping at target, scan the app AND the price verifier. 8/10 times it'll be lower. Also target matches prices
Lots of Lego choices. Love Bricks and Mini Figs. Nice to see the family enjoys Lego too!!
Great video again I managed to pick up 2 of those friends rescue boats for 20 bucks each at Walmart on broad Street in brooksville.about 2 months ago
yep - a quiet July 1st release for LEGO. But there are some sets half way through July and Aug 1st.
I just saw the Jaws images for August 1. Wow!

9:31 those repackaged Lego do carry some risk. I purchased a repackaged Lego Nintendo system, and it was full of random Lego bags. Looked like somebody opened it up, and then just returned the box full of junk Lego bags. Was a mix of mega blocks, lego, and other random pieces in numbered bags
Very quiet release day. Didn’t buy anything this time. I quite like the GWP, but I maxed out on 1 June and I have my eye on a couple for 1 August. We’re also away then too, so I feel your pain. For me it’ll have to be online purchases, timed for when we’re back 😕

The Dreamzzz are beautiful, but not really my style. My favorites are the modulars. The modern house is coming out August 1.
The mandrake is on my list because it's a plant... I'm not into Harry Potter generally. The orchid was my first Lego set and I love it. I keep that one at work.
Ooooh I want that Fairground Mixer and the Carousel!
I really do like those amusement park rides.

How many hours and miles did you do?
We left the house at 8am. I think home by 3pm. Probably 150 miles.
We loved meeting Marissa and Jacob on Mardi Gras a few years back. Love to see them in a video. So fun to watch these videos.
