Tony, as a avid LEGO collector, KEEP THE BOXES. The boxes can be flattened without damage. The box tells you the set info. All instructions are online, so it's just the boxes.
You can always open up the boxes so they stack flat and not take up much space. Kind of like how pizza boxes start out as a flat sheet and get folded into a box.
I subscribe to your cruise channel and love it. I am not a Lego builder or collector but you make it seem so exciting and fun. Probably should keep the boxes, seems like any collectible is more valuable with the original box. Can’t wait to see your Lego room when you get it set up.
My suggestion for the boxes is to keep the front of each box. Use a utility knife and cut off just the front. Then attach the instructions in a baggie to the back. They will store better and take up less space. You could also write when you bought it and assembled it on the back.
I would make the bookcases in the lego room look more built in by placing all 4 against the back wall and then putting the hallax unit on the wall to the right of the door. You can then add the ledge shelves over the hallax to display more legos, or even use some boxes as decore on the wall. You can hang the boxes with double stick 3m velcro. I'd then float the desk in the center of the room over an area rug. Congratulations on the new house. If you need free decorating advice, please reach out.
The build instructions for most sets are available as a PDF document directly from the LEGO website. Although I much prefer the physical books, they may be worth keeping.
Thats an awesome Collection of Lego kits Tony 😍 love seeing what you have. The flower collection i really love , saw you had the succulents one ? In the box looking forward to seeing. It displayed 🤍 thinking of maybe getting it at some point in have the Roses, Boeket wild Flowers ,Orchidee😊 . Happy Building the Eifel tower exciting.Have fun at the Toy show 😅. Hope your settling in your New home ,managing to Find everything giving its place 😜 succes.
As a long term eBay seller, the original boxes matter A LOT for resale value. Especially the older they get. Definitely keep them. Just flatten them and they won't take up much room. 😊
Noticed your juggling clubs. Juggling, LEGO, Cruising. We have so many overlapping hobbies. I throw away boxes. Thankfully when moved it was only 600 feet down the street so my modular buildings I just laid out flat in the car, without any boxing or bags.
Keep all the boxes you have the room for. As others have mentioned, flattening saves space. You should probably make your tossing decisions when the stress of the move is over!
Tony, just remember that all this packing, moving boxes & totes, and building furniture counts toward your daily movement and exercise goals. This can only help on your weight loss journey. I attended a virtual conference today. They mentioned that losing a half pound a week is GOOD progress. Slow but steady wins the race. Converting fat to muscle is also good. I don't build Legos, but I am interested in how you will organize and display your Legos
Conversely, if you keep the boxes, and you find a way of protecting the boxes from the damp, the mold and the insects, you will need some sort of expandable storage area and a filing system of some sorts. Given Lego is lifetime, you may also want a catalogue system detailing, name, year, location.
As I grow older I realize… I’d rather prioritize space for the set then keep hundreds of flatten Lego boxes that really have no use for me. But I would say keep the ones you find really appealing and have a special place in your inner child heart
I’m like you, Tony, and I tried to keep the boxes. Alas, I have a small house, and the empty boxes started to overload the Legos that I had put together. So I got rid of them. I’ve bought a few Legos online from EBay, and they came in storage bags and the manuals. I went to Dollar tree store and got numerous collapsible file boxes and put my manuals, numerically. My DH and I watch your cruising channel. You’re so informative and funny. We’re going to Alaska for my 70th birthday in July and really looking forward to seeing the beautiful scenery.
Tony, I seem to agree with the majority here. Flatten the boxes, size them, tie them up & keep them in the storage room. Not sure if you have attic space but assume in Florida that you do not have a basement. Manuals can go in file boxes to be stored with the flattened boxes. I do have a question tho. Didn't your new house have closets in the bedrooms?? Or is this something new with new construction? I don't have any lego stuff but I do find alot of the builds fascinating & you make it so much more interesting to learn. Thanks & much luck & happiness in your new home! from Spring Grove PA
That’s crazy talk. Flatten the boxes. I flatten all of my boxes. I put them in a ziploc bag (I have them in lots of sizes up to x-large) with the manual and the extra pieces.
Throw the boxes in your attic at the new house. That way they are out of the way. Let your kids know so if you guys pass your kids know they are there. Best wishes for your new place!
I'm with everyone else on flattening and keeping the boxes. IF you decide to get rid of them, contact your local LEGO store and see if they or someone else would trade you something for the boxes.
Awesome, I love all the cabinets that you’ve put together for your legos. My son has so many n he just keeps buying, lol when we were at IKEA a couple weeks ago I wanted to buy another cabinet but never did. The pieces are so beautiful I like to display them I’ll have to show him these videos, good luck n thanks for some new display ideas
My son tosses boxes and keeps instructions. To give yourselves more space you could hang all the aircraft and spaceships from the ceiling. That’s what my son does, use thin wire for the really big ships. The massive one(is it the star destroyer? About 3 1/2 feet long) he obviously leaves on a shelf 🤔😳
Depending on the size of the box, i found the option of flattening them just take’s up space as well but that’s just me. I only keep the instructions though if there’s a pretty fancy box with art work on the inner boxes like some of the UCS star wars sets, then i may try to keep those.
Very cool. When ever will u have time to cruise again. lol reward for getting it all moved and organized. Can’t wait to see the next build. I am hoping for Titanic.
We recycle our boxes but keep instruction manuals. Also for those that don’t know you can get insider points for scanning the QR code on the front of your instruction manual. Not all sets have the QR code but the majority of newer sets do.
I just do not have room to keep boxes, so reluctantly I got rid of them. It was worse with my Godzilla toy collection, as they had form fitting plastic inside the boxes so you couldn’t just flatten the boxes.
Good Morning Tony, I have only ever kept the manuals and I have always recycle the boxes. I have never sold any of my Lego so I felt that the boxes where taking up too much space.
I have the Eiffel Tower in box still. Like you I am trying to find the perfect spot for it. I think I may do your suggestion that you got from Bricksie. Just have to measure my ceiling Height as the tower is 4' 10" tall I beleive.
Tony your house is going to get very small if you keep all that stuff Lego is fine but you should sell it after your finished with it keep a few things take a picture of it then get it on the market get some money for it!you don’t need all of it kids might want some to buy or even flea markets!
Tonaaaaaaaaaaaay! Not trying to distract from the vid.,,,,,but where can we find the "Modern Cruise Ship" you showed (while panning) in you're recent "moving" video? I'm only finding the Titanic on the LEGO site. THANKS!!!!!!!!!
You sir.......are a BAD influence, or, I'm just weak. I just spent $400 on LEGO. I've NEVER bought LEGO in my life!!!!! Part of it was the "Roses." Some might say "I'm cheap." Nope, just smart." They'll last forever. Now I have an extreme hard-on for the Titanic. Thanks again Tony for creating a MONSTER. I already have enough HOBBIE'S!!!! :)
Tony, as a avid LEGO collector, KEEP THE BOXES. The boxes can be flattened without damage. The box tells you the set info. All instructions are online, so it's just the boxes.
NOOOOO!!! Just flatten the boxes for easier storage. Don’t do it! No dumpsters. 😮
I agree. Just use the space wisely. Flat boxes don’t take up much soace
Once it’s done you can never undo that!
I have always heard from collectors to keep the boxes. Sometimes the box hold more value than the item.
I suggest flattening the boxes and keeping them that way. 😊
I'm shouting all the way from California . . . KEEP THE BOXES!
Collapse the boxes and use a bin for the manuals
You can always open up the boxes so they stack flat and not take up much space. Kind of like how pizza boxes start out as a flat sheet and get folded into a box.
Exactly!
OMG 😳😯 You do you BUT I feel throwing the Lego boxes away would be a BIG MISTAKE!!
I subscribe to your cruise channel and love it. I am not a Lego builder or collector but you make it seem so exciting and fun. Probably should keep the boxes, seems like any collectible is more valuable with the original box. Can’t wait to see your Lego room when you get it set up.
Flatten the boxes and keep is my vote. I laughed pretty hard that the dog bowl is a skirt!
My suggestion for the boxes is to keep the front of each box. Use a utility knife and cut off just the front. Then attach the instructions in a baggie to the back. They will store better and take up less space. You could also write when you bought it and assembled it on the back.
i like to save my boxes also but they sure take a lot of space. great video. I cant wait to see the Eiffel Tower
It's wonderful to see La Lido Loca's success in action! Wishing you continued and even bigger success!
I think you should do a “happy in-between”, with the boxes like others have suggested. Keep them but collapsed! 🙂
I would make the bookcases in the lego room look more built in by placing all 4 against the back wall and then putting the hallax unit on the wall to the right of the door. No throwing out the boxes!!!😮 Please keep them!!!
A real challenge to move all your Lego.
Thank you for sharing your progress, Tony.
As a long term eBay seller, the original boxes matter A LOT for resale value. Especially the older they get. Definitely keep them. Just flatten them and they won't take up much room. 😊

Keep'em. If they collapse easily, fine, but I wouldn't tear any boxes just to flatten it
As I grow older I realize… I’d rather prioritize space for the set then keep hundreds of flatten Lego boxes that really have no use for me. But I would say keep the ones you find really appealing and have a special place in your inner child heart

NOOOOO......don't get rid of the boxes Tony!!!
Please keep all the building instructions ❤.
Looking forward to the next live build. Loved the one you did on the Pride cruise ship. Thanks for taking us along.
That's a lot of investment in LEGO! It's a great time to inventory your collection for insurance purposes, god forbid anything happens to it.
Can’t wait for the tower to be built. Super cool. That room is gonna look epic. Don’t work too hard.
Flaten and keep, keep directions bcz those are gold, everything is online now, kids now a days don't know what directions are anymore (in print for.)

Hi Tony your Lego room is going to be amazing when you're done with it. God Bless.
Thank you so much Tony
That’s crazy talk. Flatten the boxes. I flatten all of my boxes. I put them in a ziploc bag (I have them in lots of sizes up to x-large) with the manual and the extra pieces.
Flaten the boxes keep.
Throw the boxes in your attic at the new house. That way they are out of the way. Let your kids know so if you guys pass your kids know they are there. Best wishes for your new place!
NO NO DUMPING
NEVER get rid of the boxes!!! You will regret it. Take it from someone who has the regrets
I'm with everyone else on flattening and keeping the boxes. IF you decide to get rid of them, contact your local LEGO store and see if they or someone else would trade you something for the boxes.

Yes, keep & flatten boxes.
If I’d buy from you or anyone else I’d want the original box!❤
Keep the boxes and manuals in storage. That was they are complete and the boxes are safe and in good shape.
My son tosses boxes and keeps instructions. To give yourselves more space you could hang all the aircraft and spaceships from the ceiling. That small table would also be good for the Artemis/SLS rocket and launch tower coming out this summer.
I always love your cool hats Tony ❤🧢
Very cool. When ever will u have time to cruise again. lol reward for getting it all moved and organized. Can’t wait to see the next build. I am hoping for Titanic.
Tony keep the boxes as someone who is interested in antiques old toys go up in value if presented for sale with their box sometime by hundreds of $
Get rid of the boxes and the books...it's cathartic and you won't miss them.
Tony , if in or with the Box is more $$ So keep the Boxes .... Surprise of
what You found when moving??Happy moving .....
If you don't plan to resell, tossing the boxes is logical, but I feel your pain!! I have a REALLY hard time letting go of my boxes also.
Hi Tony Don't throughout the boxes because even if there are no Legos in the boxes they still could be valuable
Make sure to keep all the manuals or instructions. They are worth resale value also
NEVER throw away the boxes!!!
We recycle our boxes but keep instruction manuals. Also for those that don’t know you can get insider points for scanning the QR code on the front of your instruction manual. Not all sets have the QR code but the majority of newer sets do.
Good Luck with Your building
Collapse the boxes and keep them in a bin in the lego unit, like others have said. You never know what the future holds.
I just do not have room to keep boxes, so reluctantly I got rid of them. It was worse with my Godzilla toy collection, as they had form fitting plastic inside the boxes so you couldn’t just flatten the boxes.
I would not get rid of any thing until your at least in your new house for a long time.
Good Morning Tony, I have only ever kept the manuals and I have always recycle the boxes. I have never sold any of my Lego so I felt that the boxes where taking up too much space.
We can't take it with us, sometimes the box has more value than what was in it, other than our bodies. Think about this one.
Keep the boxes!
Keep them!!
Keep boxes!!!
I was at our local mall the other day day and there was about 100 people in line waiting for the Lego store to open
Try to stack the boxes within each other so they won't take up storage room
If you have room somewhere to stash the boxes I would keep them. Can't go back once they hit the dumpster!!
And file the manuals in a file cabinet so they are easily accessed!
Tony, please keep the boxes! They will be worth more, and can easily be
Put back in the boxes (unbuilt of course) for future selling. Love these videos! Emmy
Flatten the box then vaccum seal the boxes together
NOOOO! Keep the boxes!!!!
Thinking you should keep boxes. You just never know what might come up.
Keep the boxes well need thim one day
Is there a way to gently flatten them? That way you still have the boxes but they aren't taking up room.
Hey Tony! I am enjoying the Bricks channel. Just noticed today that Petco carries Lego now! Thought you'd like to know.
Oh gosh I’m not sure I could throw it away.
Keep the boxes and put them in the rafters
See if you can find a Sopwith Camel - WWI airplane. Saw it years ago but didn't have a chance to get it.
Keep the boxes. You will regret it if you don't. That's why my house is full of empty boxes..........
We keep our boxes.
keep the boxes 📦
Oh no I think I saw the Lego Fire Department set in storage
Most everything starting in storage for a entry and sorting :)
Keep the boxes
Break them down and and keep the boxes
I have the Eiffel Tower in box still. Like you I am trying to find the perfect spot for it. I think I may do your suggestion that you got from Bricksie. Just have to measure my ceiling Height as the tower is 4' 10" tall I beleive.

When you pass away some day what will your do with thus stuff?
I got six kids. All of them enjoy LEGO.
man i don’t trust storage units. they get broken into all the time!
Do you use the manual or the app to build your Lego. I'm moving towards the app more often than not than the physical book.
App on iPad
I didn’t even think about using my iPad for that.
keep
Tonaaaaaaaaaaaay! Not trying to distract from the vid.,,,,,but where can we find the "Modern Cruise Ship" you showed (while panning) in you're recent "moving" video? I'm only finding the Titanic on the LEGO site. THANKS!!!!!!!!!
That was sent to me. I’m not sure where it was purchased from.
How does your 6 sided die calendar work for 7's 8's and 9's?
They split the numbers up.
@@locabricks Didn't think about that. The first space doesn't use all the number and 6 and 9 are interchangeable. Cool.
They don’t even make the calendar Lego anymore. I guess if I want one I will have to do a dumb Lego. Lol
Tony, Where did u get the furniture?
IKEA
keep manuals trash boxes
Keep the boxes…..
Tony do you use “The Kragle” to permanently keep your legos together?
No, no glue ever
I assume keep the boxes
