Fantastic vehicle review. I own a 2021 Titan Pro4X in the Baha Storm exterior color I bought used with 17,000 miles on the odometer. I have owned the truck for four months and have no complaints. Best built truck in its class. I don't need a cylinder deactivated turbo charged garbage engine. You can't match the Nissan bullet proof V8 engine coupled with the 9 speed transmission. Sad to learn 2024 will be the last model year for this under appreciated truck.
Really wanted the Baja Storm myself or black, but looked for months and could not find one. Settled for white but really liking it! Thanks for watchingn
I own a 2021 Pro4X. It's a non-XD like yours. I've put all 35,000 mi on it. I wasn't a huge fan of the transmission and the beginning. Two things changed the transmission's behavior dramatically: 1) There is a recall to reprogram the TCM. Make sure you get that if it hasn't been done already. 2) Believe it or not, a Pedal Commander does wonders. I know Pedal Commanders only alter the throttle response. But something about that plays well with the transmission and it's shift points. After the improvements, this is now my second favorite automatic transmission ever. The best I've ever owned is the ZF 8-speed. That was absolutely flawless in my Ram 1500. However, in total, the Titan is my favorite vehicle of all time. And I've probably owned close to 40 different automobiles. I constantly get comments about how cool it looks.
Really loving mine still. Have a 2021 pro 4x I bought new with 24,000 miles on it now. With the moonroof and cooled seats and tv in headrests. Sticker was 3k less back then. 62,500 fully loaded. I paid 56k with 0% for 72 months in Northern California. Still happy with the deal I got considering prices and financing now. I would definitely buy again. I’m the kind of guy that always owned different cars every year or two (2009 civic to 2014 wrx to 2008 xterra off road to 2011 Infiniti g37s to 2020 4runner that I traded for this. I honestly plan on paying it off and keeping it for 10 years. Also the fender Audio is killer! I don’t have to add more bass. And Iv always installed JL audio or alpine speakers and subs in all my cars. I live in Tahoe where it often can snow 3-4 FEET overnight and have never been late to work. It bashes over berms and have used the rear locker several times to get out of my driveway. Absolutely love it and am happy I purchased the latest generation of this truck. When you compare every little detail and option this truck has even down to discount and price compared to the competition it’s not even close. A 2021 tundra limited with the ancient interior and less features and 5% interest rate it would have cost me 10-15k more after 5 years. If you are hesitant don’t be. Go drive it. I was sold after driving it 1 mile down the road.
This is my second Nissan titan I own a 2005 fully loaded with 76000 miles on it when I bought it now it has 262000 and I also own now a 2021 pro-x crew crab fully loaded 4 wheel drive I love both of them jr sits under the garage cause it fits 😂😂 these are my first pickups Eva own and they are hard to beat 💪🏾💪🏾💯
I have 2007 Titan non4x4 with over 500000 miles I've spent under 1000 dollars since new on repairs. Starter, rear window motors, water pump ,thermostat, wheel hub assembly on driver side. Still going strong
A great truck! I own a 2021 Titan Pro-4X Baja and it is awesome. Plenty of power and I have taken that thing on some hard mud driving and it has always busted it. Love it. Will keep it.
Love the Titan. Stopped selling them in Canada in 2021. I couldn't find one so bought a new 2023 Frontier Pro 4x in Glacier white. Your Titan looks great.
I found a 2019 Titan S with less than 75 k miles going for $25k. I took a chance purchasing the truck as it seemed to sputter. Traded in a 2014 Jeep JKU with $147 k miles. It turned out to be the transmission. Nissan agreed to replace the trans at no cost. $100 k or 5 year warranty. The five years were to end in May 2024 so I was lucky. Great power and just a great truck without paying 40,50,70 k for a pickup.
Just a suggestion...I have a 2021 as well. I would definitely suggest doing what I did with the exhaust. I had a flowmaster dual exhaust installed. It changes the character of the truck with a much more deep and throaty exhaust note, unlike the stock. FLOWMASTER, TRUE DUAL EXHAUST WITH AT LEAST 3 OR 4 INCH TIPS WILL BE AMAZING!! One thing you may want to do is route the end of both dual tips curved behind each tire how the stock one is now. that way they don't compromise your rear clearance for off-roading. Good luck, looking forward to seeing what your final choice is....
Wiah i couldve found a newer model Pro4X but they're impossible to find out here in Vegas. Only one I found is a 2019. Great truck but wish i had the 9 speed.
I have a 2004 titan with 165k miles on it. Biggest issue I have had so far is replacing the control arms and ball joints. Of which I did myself in about an hour. I love my truck, I beat the crap out of it and it takes it. Though the timing chain is starting to loosen up a little that won't be cheap. But, thats expected and normal for chains.
Nice truck. I have the 2024 pro 4x. Love it so far. With your lift and tires, what ground clearance do you have? Stock is a shade under 10, which seems a little low :( Wondering how I can improve that.
5:01 Dude, I couldn't figure out where i recognized you from until you said Q50..lol. I saw a couple of your Q50 videos in the past. I just traded in my Q 3.0t. Just bought a '22 Titan with 15k. Even though i knew what i was getting into, the low fuel mileage was a bit of a shock to me. I've been driving Q50s and G35s for the past 15 years.
I have a 21 pro4x as well. Its a great truck. I agree that the 9 speed is a little clunky. 1st gear shifts too early. I think the suspension is a tadbit too stiff. Could have been a little softer. Other than that, its a great truck. Low maintenance

@@the_next_adventure on their dyno. But in other exhaust shootouts they def rank on the higher end. I'm looking into a frontier or titan. Both have their pros and cons. They don't give a number on the frontier like they do titan on the site. I ran a lot of their parts over the years. I worked a lot with the vh45de engine and they used to do tuned exus , ran their cams , intakes. No complaints. What happened to deter you from their parts.
@@twistymcslide2 I was just never impressed with their quality especially considering the pricing on some of their stuff. This lift was actually installed by the previous owner. I’ve heard the same thing as you, but so far so good. I wasn’t going to change it out unless it gave me trouble, but we will see how it goes.
The transmission was replaced under warranty at about 50k. Done by previous owner so I’m not sure if the exact reason. Hard to tell at this point how common trans issues are.
Im looking into a Titan Pro 4x myself right now. Have no clue about trucks since it will be my first truck. I just love the design and all. So, looking at a titan with 78k mileage and price is at 36k. Do you think it's a fair price? In mint condition
Nice truck! Did you cut any part of the front bumper and front fender plastic inner liner to clear those 33s? Or did the offset help with that? I have a 2020 pro4x with the same rough country leveling kit with the stock wheels but when swapped with BFG’s AT 275/70r18, which are stock size, it just barely clears the inner liner when turning. The 7spd in the Q50 is known for issues. I’m not sure if the Titan 7spd has had those same problems. The 9spd has been great. I haven’t experienced any gear hunting-you just have to be assertive with the throttle. It doesn’t like putzing around lol. But it is a little clunky
@the_next_adventure the 7speed in the Q50s at fine. You'll hear those complaints from Enthusiasts who are trying to modify there cars to race so they complain about shift times.
@@mobilesolutions4u444 No-has nothing to do with shift times. They actually shift quite well. The issue is the valve body problem in the 14-15 7spd autos.

I'm looking to buy a 2020 or later used Titan. Does this engine have auto shut off or cylinder deactivation? Also, are you concerned about carbon buildup on the intake valves, since this is direct injection? Thanks.
No cylinder deactivation and no auto shutoff. I’m slightly concerned about carbon build up, but installing the z1 catch can this week to help prevent that!
The wheels are quite a bit lighter than the factory wheels so for me, yes it did net a weight reduction because these tires were on the stock wheels when I got the truck.
Yes. The owners manual spells everything out very clearly and Google is “mostly” right lol. Payload is about 1700 while tow is about 9,300 if you were asking for the numbers.
Id just love the looks of the truck so ive been digging deep on numbers . The payload you say you have isnt even close . Your lucky if you have 1250 lbs plus you got a cap on it . Also the tongue weight of your trailer , every manufacturer lies on tongue weight . Its a empty trailer , no batteries, propane , nothing in storage . I sure wish this truck had a decent payload but it doesn't.
It is a decent payload and you just have to pay attention to the trailer you get. The cap is only 145lbs and tongue weight of the trailer is 725. I would say the Titan is underrated. It does very well with this trailer
@@the_next_adventurewhat does your truck payload sticker say . Every truck built has a different . I currently have a 2021 Ford f250 crew cab 4x4 . My payload is 3420 lbs . My buddy has a 22 250 with every option known to man , his payload is 2870 lbs
Get an Titan XD (extra duty version). It is a longer, stronger truck made for recreational towing. It will have almost 2000 lbs payload for a well equipped trim. 2300-2400 for base trims.
Great grandma truck 😂 I love the TRX and love the Raptor too but need a tow capacity greater than 8,000 lbs. Power is awesome but is worthless if the truck isn’t setup to do what you need it to do.
Lol, not everyone has 100k to throw away for semi useless pick up my friend! Also, I don't think this video or people with or in the market for a titan regardless if it's a comparison emphasis or not is interested in Baja jumping and drag racing so I believe your probably in the wrong place unfortunately... I have a ram 1500 4wd hemi and that truck is more than perfect for me. I'm also a an old school gm fan and I'd put money on any full size nissan or Toyota truck and suv outlasting yours or mine. Not too mention the average consumer is more likely to seek out and purchase a normal 1500 or 2500 truck. The trx has been out for 2 or 3 years now and I havnt once seen any pulling a big piece of equipment or have a ton of dirt or gravel in the bed but hey, I wouldn't wanna scratch my 100k truck either much less get it dirty! Thank you.@@the_next_adventure
Nice truck ! Has anyone asked you you kinda look like mac Demarco?
No resemblance lol
@@the_next_adventure I think so lol
Any reliability issues you've experienced?
Not so far thank goodness. Knock on wood!
There’s no way those wheels and tires net a weight reduction. Not to mention rolling resistance.
The wheels are quite a bit lighter than the factory wheels so for me, yes it did net a weight reduction because these tires were on the stock wheels when I got the truck.
Where did u get your grille lights?
Previous owner had them done so I can’t say. Sorry
It's pre-wired for that from the factory
The Titan will soon be gone. That’s so sad.😢
2024, yes indeed. It’s too bad!
What tire size and rims are those ?
18x9 -10 with 33x10.5
How’s the seats for like a 4 hour ride ?
Quite comfortable actually. We’ve done several 7 hour round trips in it.
Great. Thanks. Purchased a 2023 leftover yesterday. Very underrated truck.
Any rubbing with that -12 offset?
There was minor rubbing on the inside edge of the mud flap. Just trimmed. I have a “short” posted showing it.
I’m looking at trading my 2018 Tundra in for a 2020 or newer Pro4x loaded in an XD model
Nice! Let me know if you do it!!
@@the_next_adventure for sure
Do it that both trucks great are great you will get better gas mileage with the titan
Do you know your payload? Towing capacity?
Yes. The owners manual spells everything out very clearly and Google is “mostly” right lol.
Payload is about 1700 while tow is about 9,300 if you were asking for the numbers.
@@the_next_adventure thanks
@@kenj.8897 no problem. Just put up a short showing the truck pulling a 6,000 lb travel trailer if you want to take a look!
How do you paid for the gas
Lol it’s expensive using premium
Nice trucks but man do they suck back the mpgs
Not great on mileage, that is true
Dang I’m at 66460 in a 2018 Nissan Titan SV.
Yeah previous owner drive 5k per month. Took exceptional care of it though!
Does anyone has one of those trucks with 100K+ miles?
Likely not too many yet. 100k miles in 2-3 years is quite a lot
Damn great grandma truck as I’ll keep
My RAM TRX power monster
Have fun jumping those sand dunes big dawg and enjoy your cocaine induced truck!
You and your $900 a month payment are my hero !
…Ram -😂
@@Pdeloosha $900 is probably pretty generous. I'm guessing over $1,200...
@@the_next_adventure - yes, I was being generous 😏
